Russell is a very talented performer and I have listened to him for a long time now. I remember when he was with Doyle Lawson for a few years he was a very good singer and he knows how to sing a song the way that it should be done.
So very sorry about Ray's passing. I actually knew him and the band. I worked for a photography studio close to Ray's home and we photographed the guys for many album covers. Once they came in and asked to be photographed "as they performed" no posing. We had a wonderful hour long private concert. WOW. It just doesn't get any better than that !! Great bunch of guys. RIP Ray. Thank you for your kindness.
