I recommend casting Coldsnap before Tornado so you secure some extra stuns frames for the Meteor to land, this frames can sometimes be used by the victim to avoid a big chunk of the combo.
Also there are basically 4 different ways to cast Deafening Blast after Tornado by changing the angle but mostly the timing you can make the Def Blast push the enemy Forwards ( without thinking, enemies taking about 80% max dmg out put, this will be affected by the enemy move speed ), Backwards ( if too early and you make them hit it with its tail ), Perfectly synced & aligned with the Meteor's rolling ( if still affected by Coldsnap, this will most likely be the case but you need to mind the timing ) or as a Cross section if u dont have access to Coldsnap and need to compensate for the enemies' most probable scape route.
he casts coldsnap after tornado but before the tornado projectile lands, meaning he gets more uptime from the coldsnap while still getting the first stun as soon as they land from the tornado.
@@miglehp4592 CS first tick secures obvious or forced tornados, else people can react with a force staff.

This will less likely work if you dont have a friend that will help you lane and farm safer. Random people will outright refuse to help you lane or farm when you pick like that, because they rather believe youre throwing than believe that you are serious with your pick.

@@amamamiamh1619 part of it is from "forfeit in captain mode only" so all pick or ranked, hostage in fountain farming and "comeback is real", not everyone likes sweaty ass games every single time believing there's a chance
I am a new player that joined 3 weeks ago, I can tell you about newcomer POV.
- Game is toxic
- Everyone is spamming annoying voice messages
- Everyone inside is already quite experienced with the game and I got rekted most of the time
- Why is there no vote based surrender like League? (Especially when DotA takes longer to end a game)
@sobbiess there is a mute option, which i find helpful to make my games less toxic. Also, i don't come across much toxicity, and i play in SEA. Just mute the noisy ones and play your game.
i played nearly exactly that item build on invoker 10 years ago back in dota 1 & only used forged spirits/meteor/alacrity & sometimes sunstrike😄
Don't forget the alacrity cold snap + MOM build. That shit was broken once upon a time
invoker's recent talents made him a beast at carrying
back in the day its bad, its only good now because of the changes and talents that amps his orbs.

This type of voker was op since dota 1 days, when i also played ss+ fs + exort + alacrity and buriz + mom + ac..good old 10+ years old s**t
This was quite popular years ago, especially with the AC - Forge Spirit right click is underated, back then we used to build basilus just to strengthen the spirits, nice content as always!

So much fun seeing this type of invo again, last time i have a friend that play the exact playstype but still midlane, rushing sb, burize, bkb, skadi and AC, and cold snap alacrity is his friend, it was fun seeing him melting the opponents, just that us supports have to play all the fat heroes

my friend use to play invoker like this back in dota 1, he goes helm of dominator to bring cents and lifesteal then buriza for damage then cuirass and deso for armor melter

I did play invoker safe lane back then. It was on 1-4-4 build that has Madness and Crystalys, with Alacrity and Cold Snap to start team fight, you just right click stuff.
that's unlikely to work now, double forge too valuable 😅
it could work if you have your support to stack for you, so you can take it with meteor and deafening blast.
if you want to fight, you can buy Diffusal blade and use ghostwalk, it's fast bcs of Wex. Diffu > Meteor > Alacrity would be enough. You don't wanna use Cold snap bcs it's bad at lvl 1 Quas.
you keep farming until you get gleipnir. After this everything is the same regular invoker.
1-4-4 is not a good build, double forge will always be better not to mention cold snap with lvl 1 quas is too weak

I remember using this a long time ago. I remember using Eul's to shore up the combo and give bonus move speed for regen. I tell people invoker can basically play any role. Noobs don't know.

Right click invoker is underrated. His physical attacks hurt so much with just the alacrity and forged spirits.
long time fan here, datoleong have you tried boots of bearing? its perfect with certain matchup on invoker + synergy with forge spirit. You should check it out with enemies who likes to slow

Whats your take on witch blade? It provides mana att speed and works well with cold snap
Instead of getting falcon get urn, similar mana regen and stats, but gives urn effect that combo with coldsnap.

this is a more advanced sf pos 1 and not as easy to pull off. Although just alacrity, forge spirits and cold snap can work in low pubs

when i play dota 1 using invoker, i just using alacrity coldsnap and forgespirit, and early item is midas dominator pt, coz dominator in dota 1 give 20damage and lifesteal

I used to do this alacrity build with madness and malevolence. It was pretty nuts. Really high dmg. Glass cannon tho.

Invoker Attack Range/animation is nuts as well as the quas exort abuse. Ive seen ppl do this but it literally will not work in 4k lower due to the mentality of the trench goers.

You should revisit this now that invoker is universal this will probably be even stronger now.
this is dota 1 build for kar-el. but nice video , good explanation and good effort on finding higher damage compared to standard build invoker

You will lose a lot. And thats not because hero is not good but the people are just too closed-minded.
that use to happen but recently i don't get many pubs cry about hero picks. mayb because a lot of heroes are slowly getting figured out to play differently, it becomes more accepting? idk

this video is very fun might try to improve my invo skills and try it out sometime.
witch blade is commonly seen on mid, my idea is the have lance eventually become pike for more mobility. then most items are build to carry late game. high physical burst can melt buildings/rosh and scale, the rest of the items are build to be really tanky so i can stand my ground and fight

Wouldn't wraith band instead of null talisman also be an option(like depending who you lane against? i mean voker has already pretty decent rightclick damage, and the asp bonus and the armor from wb might be usefull for him if he has to sustain alot of physical damage harrass, especially against armor reduction, or controlled units or something. Just food for thought.
i tried before, wraith band right clicks are stronger but usually get run down when I don't have enough mana to fight back, 1 null usually gives enough mana for early fights.(I could ice wall + sunstrike + cold snap + forge + occasionally meteor) i compared both builds and having mana is more valuable than having slightly more attack speed/right clicks

Was wondering why not Revenant's Brooch as well for invoker. Since it also deal damage and give slow for 4 secs
because i wanna build high physical burst + tank. can't get one shotted as a carry so most items are build to stand my ground and fight
@@datohleonggez Seen Topson playing that build as a right-click DPS similar to your style of play, but he went Brooch and Bloodthorn instead of the pure physical DPS like yours. Wondering if there is any difference
instead go for middas, u should try miracle invoker mjolnir build, its old but maybe works

My firend had a similliar build, but instead of falcon blade, he just bought the sage mask, to THREE GLOVES OF HASTE, that turns into threads and midas
that's not very tanky, safe lane voker are up against 2 heroes so need more health early

can you make support alchemist work, maybe with 3 venge? Also carry/offlane maiden? her lvl2 is insanely strong!

@@datohleonggez I have given this some thought, and I think a reasonable goal is to have the enemy be so afraid of you that you can just hide in the trees/to the side of the lane and the enemy is to afraid to even pull aggro.
I learnt that most of the time a slow is enough, because keeping enemies in acid longer is really strong. Your other hero needs to be somewhat tanky or you have to be very careful with them(venge/cm are strong but might die too quickly)
A strong aghanim hero on your lane doesnt matter because chances are mid or carry will have a strong aghanim upgrade.
You always want to get blink before aghanims since it allows you to stay relevant for a really long time.
Basi + Mana boots into wraithpact is very playable although you might not get as many kills so it might not be as much fun(but still very fun)
It doesn't really matter if the enemies have high armor, it only matters if they can avoid the stun.
