Iran Protests: 'I never dared dream that this would happen in my lifetime'

  • British-Iranian comedian Shaparak Khorsandi says that "this is the generation for change" in Iran, and that she never dreamed of seeing such protests within her own lifetime.
Formerly known as Shappy, Khorsandi's family escaped Iran after the revolution in 1979 before claiming asylum in the United Kingdom.
Protests have been taking place across the country over the past month following the death of Mahsa Amini, who was detained by the country's morality police due to her clothing.

Indeed. It's sad to see so many British Muslim women are still wearing a headscarf, pretending their families don't force them to wear it through coercion, pretending it's about 'tradition' and 'freedom of choice'... The burka and headscarf will always be a symbol of oppression. Everywhere. British Muslims could learn a lot from these brave Iranian women.

Britain is dreaming of a regime change in Iran
Ever since their puppet dictator The Shah was overthrown in 1979.
Britain is only concerned about Iran’s massive Gas reserves not so much on women’s rights.

The important thing is that it does not become a puppet democracy propped up by the US. Iranians are proud and have their own culture. The people themselves must decide the future. If there is a way to help without that help being in US geopolitcal interest then maybe that is good. Otherwise this will happen over and over again. Just like Afghanistan. People had lots of freedom under Russian occupation, them Russia was overthown with US help and weapons, then the group US armed became the Taliban, then US occupied and things were a little bit better for some people for a while and then the Taliban took over agian and are well armed. Then there is Iraq, Syria and ISIS..... bad cycle... Good to know history. I wish the US had not worked so hard to undermine Internation law.

Seems like for many years Iranian people are oppressed and terrified by their dictatorial leadership and now, Both men and women are on the streets fighting for their future and their children's lives. WORLD must recognize this as a HUMANITY issue and CONDEMN the Iranian Dictatorial leadership in all possible ways.

Stage 1 (Media channels and its propaganda): $55,000,000. Stage 2 (support and training of anti-Iranian terrorist groups) $131,000,000. Stage 3(violent riots and starting revolution and all aspect support of it): $353,000,000. Plus another $295,000,000 against Iran nuclear and sensitive installation attacks. Totaling $834,000,000 of US budget went toward finishing Iran and the poor american hard working people pay for the israeli-US lobby to spend.

Victorious feminine spirit is marching on in Iran, Real "Victory" is being "fearless" till the goal is attained (not only when the goal is attained). Fearlessness is the highest realization of the individual when life and death, prosperity and poverty, bliss and suffering mean less than the breath of freedom. Fearlessness is spiritual without being religious. When the governments are fearless, the people are afraid. When the people are fearless, the governments are afraid. May everyone become "fearless" and spiritual and breathe the air of freedom.
