Thanks for the reminder to get a set of scales! I find my boy can put on weight if I dont get his daily intake quite right. I also found its worth paying a bit extra for good quality food.
Easy to make..& you know what's going into the food, i suggest that you vary your meals..fish (salmon & veggies plus kibble) to chicken; meat etc. I love also buying "barf" inner health plus from my local butcher, pet's wonderland approximately $10 (aus). Carrots i give as treats plus dehydrated beef, chicken...plus "human" probotics in bone broth..all local & Australian made at least once a fortnight. Love all of the vids. Keep going josh & luna. I have a 4 mth old JRT, I feed her a mix of dry food with a little wet food 3 times a day, but then I put some of the dry food in a treat ball and she gets some exercise and play between the 3 meals too. I've weighed her and she is the correct weight. Was worried in the beginning. Love this video.

Toys, food, etc. My FAXXON does NOT share his Dog food with me, ever! (kidding!) However, he WANTS me to share my food with him. I left a HOT! cup of tea on my and walked away for 1 minute. When I returned MY cookies were all gone, and HE WAS DRINKING MY TEA! UGH! Not a good idea for a dog to DRNK TEA! I asked him, "Where are MY Cookies"..."hmmm"?? Faxxon (ears down) said "I have NO idea where your cookies are?" WHY??? Are you DRINKING MY HOT TEA????? (ears flat, now!!) "oh, that' s NOT for me"?......what a beast, he is!
When my Sampson (18 yrs.) old fell into Kidney Failure, I kept him alive (3) additional months using the Human -DASH DIET. Home cooked, kidney Association authorized foods. Home cooked, everything. His vet thought that Sampson would have been lost in a few days after diagnosis. Sampson, pictured here...gained weight, ate, kept his food down, slept better. He said "NO", to the prefabricated canned Kidney Diet food. He would have rather starved than eat that mess! Home cooked, fresh, good ingredients and Sampson, 18 yrs. old, sick as anything, thrived for 3 more months! So, yeah home cooked, just be careful. Josh and Luna are correct, great food, track the weight and QUALITY FOODS.
Weve recently had a jack russell puppy, hes 9 months old now and as much as hes hard work at times and hes mental, the joy of having him outweighs everything else. I could easily spend all day everyday with him. Right up until he sees other dogs then sometimes all hell breaks loose😄😄

Get the dog bowl where they have to use their brain. It slows them down. I think $55 (aus) made in USA. Can't remember name...works.

@@lindanorris2455 so many people feed their pet bad food and wonder why they visit the vet so much. Raw barf diet is the best.
My JRT'S have been eating dry dog food. I stick with the same food that the breeder recommended. It seems to satisfy them.
