This week’s question for ‘Wrong Answers Only’ 👇🏽 “What is the first thing that Todd Boehly does when he wakes up?” Top three answers are getting read out at the end of next week’s show!
The Raya save is amazing because the strength he applies to the ball is perfect whether intentionally or not. If he is too weak the ball will trickle into the goal but if he is too strong he paws it back into the danger area. He does very well to put the perfect amount into stopping it while already diving away
It's about having big hands and strong wrists. Big hands for padding the blow and strong wrists to repel the shot . (In addition to incredible hand / Eye coordination of course)
Sheroy, as an Arsenal fan, you’re one of our best representatives on social media. Happy to see you’ve got your channel going. Best of luck moving forward Big ups from Seattle. COYG
Awesome intro and solid content!!! Re: Arteta's use of squad. A lot of discourse has been surrounding having cover for Saka however I feel a lot of people didn't notice Martineli's performance in our last game of the season on the right vs Everton. Martineli is super dangerous on the right giving a different dynamic by going past the full back on the outside, then cutting in. This means we now have 5 players (Martinelli, Havertz, Saka, Trossard, Jesus) who can be interchanged without a drop off. This was backed up with Arteta bringing on Trossard for Saka in our last match which is a win win for us. Saka get's a relief, Martinelli gets to exhaust and stretch opponents late game, Trossard does what Trossard does and so on.... I fully believe that our forward line is more adaptable than before as each player has developed further Re: Aston Villa. Your writing wrongs analogy is spot on!!! Big up Sheroy!!! Keep the content coming
Love from Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹 Sheroy, your voice connects us from all around the world. You have a talent for this and we all love listening to you, thats why we’re here. Keep it up and thanks for your hard work.

One of my most favourite talkers in this Football TH-cam community. Hope you get what you deserve. Keep up the great work, Sheroy. Love from Kolkata, India.
It’s debatable if Göykeres is the type of striker we need. The striker has a crucial part of the build up play in Arteta’s system. The striker also do a lot of being a target player to hold up the ball, Göykeres doesn’t do eigther of that well. I am sceptic signnng him.
Sheroy mate you help us think about our club with greater wisdom and acumen. It’s a quality mainstream media can’t touch - top 3 Arsenal voices out there. Big thanks and love from NYC 🇺🇸
In Partey’s defence, that was his first full 90 minutes, since the start of pre season. He started well and was flagging towards the end of the game. I think that it’s telling that Arteta kept Partey on for the full 90 against Wolves and didn’t bring on Jorginho. I think Partey will start against Aston Villa… And hopefully he will perform well for the whole match🤞🏽
Great show Sheroy! Looking forward to all the content this season. The first thing Boehly does when he wakes up is walk out to his balcony and address all the Chelsea squad like when Saruman did with the Uruk Hai in LOTR.
Sheroy, great work on the calm assessment of the game. You ask some good questions and the one about Mikel talking about some of the chances we failed to convert last season in some crucial games, and yet still not addressed, I believe he might be backing Havertz to lead the line this season. Or waiting for a market opportunity and if none shows, my first point, Havertz as our 9. Frankly I am curious to see how he performs. A part of my believes in KH29. On the wrong answers only portion, first thing Todd does when he wakes up, is ask himself, “what useless player can I buy today?” Greetings from Fort Worth, TX!
Keep up the great work mate. Rated you when I first saw you on AFTV and glad you are doing your own thing. Looking forward to more content going forwards.
Episode 2 was a banger just like the first. Big up Sheroy and the rest of the community 💪🏼 I would start Timber but not Jorginho, his pace scares me against a top midfield
Love that you are sharing more of your voice, been following for a while from Portugal, my favorite voice on all things Arsenal! Also probably the smartest individual in this space, its a breath of fresh air to hear such ponderous, yet still passionate takes. COYG
You deserve the comments and love my dude! Here’s to hoping your TH-cam platform takes off and you become one of the heavyweights in football fan content! I think we’ve got a fair few players we’d like to move on including Reiss, Eddy, Veira, Tierny maybe even zinchenko and partey (incomings needed if zinny and partey were to depart) but due to the market being dead due to the accountant’s now flapping over FFP rules. We just can’t do the business we want. So I expect to see those folks bench rotting this season for a majority of it. As for the Villa starting line up I think it’ll be same again as they’re not risking Timbers knee for full games yet and calafiori needs some game time to get used to us in games that aren’t essential. I tell you something I’d like to see Mikel try for 20 mins near the end if all is going well and that’s putting zinchenko into the left sided box to box role. Think he’d do soo much better there as he’s susceptible to being caught out in compromising positions at left back.
I tried hard to watch the game analytically and tactically, but I couldn't man. I was just too happy to see my Arsenal back for the season. I do expect that we sign at least one more player, but that said, I can't say I don't have faith in us winning with the team we have.
Our problem at arsenal is if havertz scorers a goal we tent to forget the issue of signing striker and we forget hw many chances we created which we could have utilize to score more !!!
@ sheroy u can take this to the bank the gaffer will start zinny in every match then subs him in the end of match and bring timber to stabilize the defends thru the season , against villa arterta can't gamble to bench partey bcz amadou onana will bully arsenal midfield terribly
Great Opinions - Clearly articulated views and open to changing your mind - I subscribed and will look forward to this as well as the Goonerverse + 4Ever Arsenal
Excellent insight again Sheroy, saying I couldn’t wait for this episode is an absolute understatement. To answer the boehly question, he takes business advice from the simpsons
Will do when I can manage more than one show a week, but for now for that sort of thing you can catch me with James on his channel for The Goonerverse Podcast where we have guests on all the time! 🙏🏽
Our opponent rested quality players against a quality side in Chelsea and still looked like they could go up a few gears. The Mountain we need to climb is almost impossible...but I'm here for it.
In terms of the negatives being the negatives so as not to overemphasise them, I think it will be fair to say that we did quite maturely weather the storm that was starting to arise. That's my laconic level-headed resume of the game.
Great stuff Sheroy! Keep up the good work. Would love to get your take on 1) how we move from a fluid shape in possession to a very clear 4-4-2 out of possession so quickly 2) do you think we have the aura that man city has? I feel like man city basically gets a timid effort from any team outside of liverpool and arsenal but we actually get everyone's best effort and variation of tactics that Mikel constantly has to figure out? Linked questions because I think that shape that we drop into when we are defending is literally the best I have seen in my life but maybe thats how we have to win this league (i.e. we have to concede as many goals as those jose mourinho chelsea teams conceded)?
Class content as expected my brother, I think zinny needs to stay away from the L back position and be moved into central midfield as he does for his country, he is NOT a defender man....! Love always bro, looking forward to the next legendary instalment ❤
The problem is not finishing. The big issue is the lack of "Big chance creation". Arsenal was only 5th on this metric last season and again, vs Wolves, there was a distinct lack of 'Big chances'. Even NUFC and THFC created more big chances than us. LFC created 15 more than us. Bare in mind many of our 87 BIG CHANCEs will have come in the thumping wins over Sheff Utd, West Ham, Palace and Burnley - 22 goals scored in those 4 games. From various sources, Arsenal had an xG between a low of 1.26 and a high of 1.68 so let's say 1.45 average. This reflects the few chances created and will be a huge ongoing problem. Maybe Merino MIGHT unlock that door for us. Maybe. But maybe not. So signing a lethal finisher is not really going to make a huge difference. Well, unless we somehow learn to unlock defences and get our attacking players in positions with very high xG (scoring opportunities) far more frequently than we currently do. A lethal finisher MIGHT, in the odd game, make the difference by scoring from nowhere with a ridiculous skill or something. But that won't be often. It's CLEAR chances they need and we are not creating them. I would pick out Martinelli as a key problem. He received the ball in dangerous positions multiple times in the Wolves game but there was zero end product. The stats boys credited him with creating one chance. He needs to produce more and that means better decision making. The team may 'click' and I hope they do. They may also keep lots of clean sheets which will mitigate failure to create chances but we cannot be reliant on Saka to provide the bulk of our G/A. Odegaard in particular needs to step up. Trossard may be a better option than Martinelli in games where we have most of the ball. I look forward to more content from yourself
How do you say we address this? Do you think a winger could solve these issues. I think some of us fans also believe we need a "moments" player. The kind of player (ideally striker) who scores a half chance. A goal out of nothing if you will.
@@AJDaEnvoy I am humble enough to say I am not clever enough to answer that question. It is a multi-factorial problem and nuanced. Yes a 'moments' player in the squad would certainly help but the fundamental issue of pulling defenders out of position and getting big scoring opportunities more frequently will provide better overall outcomes. Better than the "out of nowhere" goals will provide. Switching the likes of Nelli, Jesus, Havertz, Odegaard for upgrades who are more lethal would help but that is unlikely. With the current squad I don't see a readily applicable solution
@@innercircle341 it's interesting the players you mentioned as potentially upgrading on or at least buying different profile of players. What do you think of playing Odegaard in the 8? I've always thought we may need a more dynamic option in that position of CAM. Furthermore I think the left hand side is an area I'm keeping my eye on and how Nelli develops. I imagine with Timber and Calafiori and potentially Merino he should fair better this season but its definitely something to closely to observe. My fear is that we wont do any business in terms of incomings after Merino and I just think we're not fully pushing the boat out. Something in my gut says THIS is the season to catch City and I'll be damned if we didn't add an attacker who just poses different questions of the opposition
@@AJDaEnvoy I think we'll be in the argument for trophies. Fine margins will make the difference. I don't know about Odegaard in the 8. He looks slow to me and I want a proper machine there. I can observe what is going on, identify where improvements are needed but as a sofa-based fan coming up with viable solutions is not really my forte. I'll leave the Pros to do that. Going to be a long hard season
I have nothing against havertz, I like him, he's improved, his confidence has shot up and I'm happy for him. But there is ONE player we need that is VICTOR GYOKERES. To challenge man city for the title, do well in the champions league, and try to get to the fa cup final we need that Swedish Pitbull. He can play on the right, centre and left. His assists stats are good also.
I agree timber is well fit for Aston villa game and id hope mikel inverts ben white than timber As for tomas party i think he should be used 1 half in games jorginor will sub party
Why is there more questions than answers when it is the first game of the season? We won 2-0 we move on to the next game at Villa which is a tough game. Oh sorry - I'm just up the road in the Midlands.
