- You ask me if we can hang out. I say, "Sure. Is it okay if I first do some paper sorting? This mountain of documents has been bothering me for so long." You say, "Of course, I love the sound of shuffling paper." So we sit together, you with a magazine in the corner in a comfy chair, me going through hundreds of pieces of paper. This is what I call a good time!
In this video you will hear the shuffling of paper, scissor sounds, ripping paper, stapling, putting pages in plastic sheet protectors, page turning, some page squeezing, writing with a ballpoint pen on paper, using a highlighter etc.

I discovered this trait when I was 10. Another girl visiting our house when turning the pages of a magazine whilst sittin on a bed. I was also on that bed and became all 'gooey'. I fell asleep. I still can't study in a library without first just sleeping straight away with all those soporific sounds around me. After 10 minutes I recover. I'm 58 years old.
Thankyou for these uploads. I now after 50 years I was never alone.

All my life I thought I was the only one that's relaxed by these sort of sounds,
Example: For me it's, ruffling through paper, typing on a keyboard (not a type writer), my son playing with his Rubic Cube..
This might be the weirdest one to you guys but when my chitzu lays on the top of my pillow and licks her paws right near my ear.

Thank you for these excellent videos. When we were sent to work from home due to the virus almost a year and a half ago, I had to find a way to do my mostly paper-oriented job on spreadsheets and databases. It probably is a bit more productive, but I really miss the paper and all the attendant pens, staplers, folders. This is just so heavenly to listen to. 🌸
I can relate, Caroline! I bet it was quite an adjustment for you, having to switch to an even more digital way of working. It scares me sometimes, that it's all "in the cloud" now, and no longer in file folders & binders that are tangible and just seem more real.🙂
Luckily, we have ASMR videos as some sort of substitute for hearing those lovely paper sounds around us, even though it can't match the real thing.
im currently reading DOAWK the long haul right now and listening to this embraces the moment.

I don't know why I love the sounds of paper shuffling, paper being crinkled, chalk on a chalk board, bubble wrap popping or fire crackling sounds, but I do.
Those sounds almost give me a high.

I’ve been thst way since I was in grade school….I had asmr before it was called asmr… and I always thought I was weird.. paper puts me to sleep … always has. It’s wonderful

@@PoisabloomASMR Hi Kat :D yeah a lot of people try these paper sorting/shuffling videos but they don't do it right! well for me personally anyway, i love the natural realistic way you do it here it's the rythm of the sounds such as pauses ( 18:55 for example) when people are reading something briefly! it totally relaxes me, i used to search for random videos years ago before ASMR was even a thing or had a name lol i can remember when i was about 6 or 7 years old lying on the settee and listening to my mother doing her college coursework and it was hypnotising :D that was like 1990 or so! well it's nice to meet you Kat glad i found your channel and you take care too xx

Hey Tony, I wish I had an answer to your question but 1) the folder file case is old and I can't remember where I got it from and 2) if I remembered, well, I live in Belgium so I probably got it from a local store. Sorry. I'll check tomorrow whether there's a brand name on the folder file case, maybe that could help.

Your paper shuffling videos are fantastic but if you could figure out one little thing, you could take these to the next level... And that trick would be to make the viewer think you are sorting through THEIR PERSONAL FILES such as in a medical office when the doctor or nurse looks through your records while you are sitting there. 🔥🔥🔥

Where is the best place to buy sheet protectors ill buy a one inch binder and going to lookup sheet protectors the clear kind a hundred pack and make a book i was just wondering where you bought your stuff are the protectors cheaper than five dollars and can you buy photo sheet protectors
