@Asural Haruki the overly cautious hero is actually a hero that got summoned to a fairly easy world with a relatively weak demon king. Basically your standard Dragon Quest game and he treated it like that. He and the princess hit it off in standard RPG fashion and essentially every happy hero isekai trope was a thing for his journey except he just didn't take any danger seriously because of how much like a game this was all to him. This all ended when the Demon King fight, which he should have grinded for and leveled up a bit for went... poorly... very poorly. They all died. Including the princess love interest who died particularly graphically as the demon king tortures the hero. Because of his failure to take the events seriously and properly prepare that entire world fell to the demon king. The wholesome starts now. The gods took mercy on that princess because her world falling was no fault of her own and made her into a goddess herself. A goddess of healing. A blonde goddess of healing with a thing for a very specific hero to the point of almost an instinctual obsession she can't explain because she doesn't remember her previous life. Basically our goddess here is that Princess and the Cautious Hero is cautious because he was traumatized by his previous failure. So the wholesome twist is that they're together again even after they failed once and after they save this super fucked up world they're given the chance to take back the world their previous failure lost.

It's just that the main crew goes around fixing the things that have gone horribly wrong, but the story focusses a lot on what people had to go through before they show up.
