This is the best of all the cop reality shows. I remember being impressed when I first saw it on TV and it has held up very well. I can't believe the youth of those pursuit drivers. Mid 20s, a Cosworth and a speed exemption. I bet they recall the 90s with a warm glow. Wonder what they are doing now
Nice to see PC Plod actually being knowledgeable about what they are doing. Honestly, every episode I’ve watched they’ve been professional but still human. Nowadays they all know nothing more then a handbook can teach them.
Road wars couldn’t lace xcars shoes. I was too young to watch all these growing up so I grew up with the road wars etc but this 90s stuff is second to none.
Thank you SO much for uploading these! I dont even remember this series (unless it was only shown up North?) but it is so good. Clearly the early inspiration for the later Police Interceptors.
@@gasmanrus Worthless, ha look at the state of you...shot through the ugly forest and hit every tree...you girfriend told me this as I was giving it to her backdoors.
these kind of comments always "amaze" me. it was entirely normal for early 80s cars to be around in 1997. just like it's entirely normal to see 08 reg cars around in 2023 (the equivalent).
July 88, puts it on a G or F, WTF!! 88 is E/F but July 88 is definitely not G so it's an E/F reg, unless the ashtray was faulty and was replaced, plus the G reg was the facelift so it would have different head rests and most likely a 1.6D, F reg facelift onwards was a 1.7D....

in the bolton breifing you could tell the pursuite driver was feeling like tom cruise top gun ,,,leave it to me you know where your going know,, dont know this area ..
Old school British policing not an ANPR camera/bodycam in sight and no Bobby’s wearing military-style tactical uniforms and armour. Discretion and common sense aplenty.
So the Police give the guy shit that he should check properly that the car isn't stolen and that it is easy to do,yet they called in a SPECIALIST team to check to see if the car is stolen! So if it's easy then why the need for the specialist team 🙄
Because all you need to do is check the plate. The plate didn't match the vehicle, therefore it's not the right car or plate. They needed a specialist team to find out who the rightful owner was, not whether it was stolen or not. It's almost as though you didn't even watch the video. The copper could literally tell that the car was stolen from *driving behind* the car in question yet the "owner" supposedly couldn't tell.
we used to stop the car brake all the rear lights and off u go , they wouldnt know which turn ur taking cause brake lights were smashed , lost evry chase even in shite cars,,, then i woke up😉 😢😢😉

Feel real sorry for that builder, even now days people can do HPI checks & the vehicle comes back as okay, the cops concerned in this builder stop, were complete bastards !
Why feel sorry for him ? At best he was naive. Buying a cheap van from a couple of lads in a pub? Especially as he had a call from the dvla. Look at his body language, he knew!
joshuaaaron125. What you described there was about a pursuit situation and not about normal driving. Yes stay close to the car that you are pursuing but don't drive right up the exhaust pipe of the general public!
