Hi everyone! I'd like to clarify something in the tutorial: Between the middle finger and the ring finger I have added an 0.38 cm ( 0.15 inches) gap. In the tutorial video I have mentioned that the gap was 0.75 cm (0.29 inches), that is just a mistake, sorry about that. Thank you!
@@thadayoochieng8425 That is because I have already added 0.19cm to the small and pointing finger. Now I'm adding the 0.19cm to the middle and ring finger. 0.38cm divided by 2 is 0.19cm for each finger (middle finger and ring finger).
After watching 15 videos I have finally found the best and only one that shows in detail the whole process of hand measuring and pattern design. You are an artist! Thank you so much.
I've been looking for gloves for ages and now I know exactly how to make them. Thank you so much for such a detailed instructional video on the pattern making! I am in awe and so pleased with the pattern I'm currently making along with you 🥰
Thank you very much for this awesome and incredibly detailed tutorial, I was struggling to find a good pattern for gloves but this one is absolutely perfect
Good afternoon to you! I started learning to make gloves just this week. So far your illustrations are the best and easiest to understand have seen so far. I really appreciate your time and effort making these videos. I'm Stephen in jamaica. Thanks very much!!
Maybe I am disturbing you but pardon me. Can you give details tutorial of driving gloves pattern please. It will rate your channel for sure. If you don't mind.
Thanks for this very clear and concise tutorial. I've attempted glove patterns previously but always felt there was some sizing steps missing somehow. Now I know exactly!~ Subscribed and following.
Bonjour, merci beaucoup pour cette belle démonstration. J'ai tout compris. Pourtant, je ne comprends pas l'anglais. Tout est tellement bien détaillé, en plus des gestes, et les écrits.
Thank you for this amazing tutorial!! If I'm making gloves with a lining inside, how should I adjust the pattern according to this? Would I cut the outer fabric layer with an increase in cm of the width of the inner lining? Thank you, I am a novice in this.
Hi, you are welcome! If you want a lining inside, yes you will need to increase the size of the outer fabric. However, the size you increase the outer fabric by depends on the thickness of the lining fabric. I have made a tutorial on how to make lined gloves, watch that tutorial, it will be very helpful.
When Ive made the back and front body and stuck them together and cut out the thumb hole, should the pattern edges meet up down the side of the little finger ? and wrap all around the hand? I dont think Ive made the palm wide enough as there is a big gap. Your video is great by the way. Very clear (Im just quite bad at this stuff and I think Ive done something wrong!)
Wow this is quite complex. If you are making gloves for someone else do you measure there hand and fingers shown in your tutorial or do you just take a rough guide from tracing their hand?

why 0.38 instead of 0.19 for four fingers

I'm glad you find it helpful. I've posted the sewing tutorial of the pattern. It'll help with making as well. Thank you!!
Thank you! It worked out great! Only the pointing finger was a little tight ant kindof twisted in my version. Ill keep improving it.
Pleasure! I'm glad it worked.

Hello! Thank you. You should also make sure that when you measure you hand circumference, you take the measurement loosely around your hand.
@@UPANDFORWARDgloves thank you so much, I’ll try again.
i love you thanks
Is the same process to make falconry gloves?
Probably.
Would it be easier to start with a open hand for fingers and close hand when you trace the body of hand?
No. Because your hand must not move when you are tracing it. You should just trace it open.
@@UPANDFORWARDgloves When I say open hand fingers= fingers spread apart but when you trace the body of the hand, your fingers come back together
@@ParagraphGurr You can try it that way.
@@ParagraphGurr I can not guarantee that it'll work, cos I have not tried it. But you can give it a try. I don't think there is a major difference.

Yes. Gloves for another person, you should measure their hand and trace their hand as shown in the tutorial.
lol my flat hand time 2 is 20 and so is my circumference
its wrong or the length extension from the back pattern is different from the one on the front pattern:that is the lines between the fingers.
It is correct like that. The fourchettes are tilted between the fingers.
in iran we dont have it thanks'
