    I so much love you for this. 💕
    I've not always been satisfied with my finishing at that area where the band and the interfacing joins together, looks amateur to me even though my customers love it but I've always wanted to up my sleeve and do something so sleek, so yea with this video I should be able to get the job done to my taste. Your video is very explanatory. Thanks

    Thanks so much for the pattern tutorial! Would it be possible for me to add a liner even if the pattern doesn't include it?

    • @PDFPATTERNSBOUTIQUE
      @PDFPATTERNSBOUTIQUE  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks a lot for your comment! Yes; sure! You can use the existing pattern pieces to create the linen. Some basic patternmaking knowledge is advised for this. You will use the sleeve pattern pueces just as they are (adding about 0,3 cm as ease all around). You will also need to use the front piece (removing the area covered by the front facing, also adding about 0,3 cm as ease) and the back piece (also removing the are covered by the back facing (same as before, adding the ease mentioned). Also, remember to add seam allowance where the lining meets the facings (both to the facings and the lining). Hope this makes some sense 😀

    At some point this year, I will get into making a varsity jacket, but if one doesn't have a serger machine, can a tight zigzag stitch suffice?

    • @PDFPATTERNSBOUTIQUE
      @PDFPATTERNSBOUTIQUE  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Yes, sure! You can always replace a serger with a zig-zag stitch when sewing woven fabrics (to overcast the raw edges of the fabric); one stitch in, one stitch out.
      When sewing knit fabrics, Zig-zag may also be an option but all modern sewing machines got an even better one which is usually called "stretch stitch"; You should check your machine's user's guide, but I'm quite sure you'll have it available.

      @PDFPATTERNSBOUTIQUE ok I'll check to see if my machine has it, thank you

    can i as for what are those fabrics that you use for this jacket?

    • @PDFPATTERNSBOUTIQUE
      @PDFPATTERNSBOUTIQUE  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi! Yes, sure! The main fabric (front) is a knit matelassé. The secondary fabric (back and sleeves) is a jogging fabric (French terry), the cuffs are made of rib knit, and the interfacing is a non-woven fusible interfacing.

    What fabrics and interfacing did you use for this jacket

    • @PDFPATTERNSBOUTIQUE
      @PDFPATTERNSBOUTIQUE  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi! Thanks a lot for your comment! Sure, here are the materials you need (these are originally mentioned in the pattern's details sheet):
      a) Main knit-fabric; I've used here some one-sided brushed fleece for the back and sleeves. French terry fabric is also a great option.
      b) Rib-Knit fabric. Usually bought to the same provider as the main fabric. This way both fabrics are the same composition and both have the exact same color.
      c) Matelasse fabric used in the front pieces.
      d) Non-Woven Fusible Interfacing.
      e) Snaps
