  • May 11, 2023 - Do you love libraries? Greg Peverill-Conti of the Library Land Project does too! Greg has visited over 400 libraries across the US! Join us for a fun presentation on the role today's libraries play in their community and hear about some of the libraries he loves. Visit the librarylandproject.org for more information.
Greg Peverill-Conti is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Library Land Project, a section 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The organization's mission is to explore, document, and promote public libraries in order to educate people about the essential role of these institutions in our communities.
Whether as a park ranger at Alcatraz, a public relations executive, or now, with Library Land Project, Greg has always found ways to combine his curiosity, creativity, enthusiasm, and communication skills to spin yarns, craft stories, and connect people and institutions. For Greg, serving as executive director of Library Land Project is a dream come true.
Growing up in a home full of books (though not built of books), Greg developed an early love of reading that remains a central pillar of his life. His library memories take him from the closed stack library of his childhood in Plaistow, New Hampshire, to wandering happily through the San Francisco Public Library with his wife, Wendy, to countless visits over the years with his kids, to his library travels with Library Land co-founder, Adam Zand.
Greg received his Master’s in Library and Information Studies at the University of Alabama and his undergraduate degree in American Culture at Emerson College. He is an information services librarian at the Wellesley Free Library, a substitute reference librarian at the Framingham Public Library, and a trustee at the Medway Public Library.
Greg is a father, husband, reader, fiddler, and librarian. He loves color and wears it brightly every day.
