  • This is a short outing with the 1 man tiny boat. The location was a small County lake in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Not many fish but the boat worked out ok. Trolling motor shaft could be customized by cutting it shorter. Minn Kota Edge 45 # thrust trolling motor works well with the one man tiny boat.

    Great video.
    Used to fish Chambers in my 10 ft Bass hunter 120 with 55 lb minn Kota and tiller handle for years. Had no issues . Did have to sit sideways when operating motor. Tight lines!

      Nice little lake for the type of fishing I did. I'll go there again the near future

    Get a "powerdrive" motor with the wired foot control and you will eliminate your problem, also have models available with spotlock as well which is awesome for fighting a fish, tying on a lure and not worrying about your boat drifting into the bank or exposed cover.
    A little pricey at around $1500 but get the one with the battery maximizer which really helps battery life when trolling at slower speeds and it will not be long you will wonder how you fished without one.

      im with you on that. Ive already changed it out for an iPilot unit and I cut down the trolling motor shaft so that the shaft and head unit dont get in the way of cast and retrieve.
      thanks for the idea though

    Buddy, I know this is a old video, but where did u get that trolling motor mount? I have the tiller kind but hate it, so im buying a bow mount trolling motor this weekend. I made a deck and plan to just mount it on the deck but id rather have a set up like yours..

      I have since made it even better. I now use my iPilot 55 with this little boat. I cut the shaft down so it is just above the gunnel and still works with my bigger boat.
      The mount was actually an option to purchase from Bass hunter when I purchased this boat. The last time I look it was no longer available on their website. Mayby email them directly and ask if they still have it available.
      Good luck

    Where did you get the fish finder mount? I have a Baby Bass and want to mount a fishing finder without drilling holes. Thanks!

    An inexpensive trigger-spin reel would sure cut down on the time spent messing with your spinning reel.

    I have the ex version of this boat and it’s awesome I wanted to put a trolling motor like yours is it possible

    • @outdoordetective
      @outdoordetective  ปีที่แล้ว

      Your boat has the same bow and stern mounting plates that all versions have for a tiller style trolling motor. You would need to fabricate your own trolling motor bracket or contact Bass Hunter boats. ( basshunter.com/ ) and ask them directly about the trolling motor bracket.
      I checked the web site and they no longer carry the trolling motor bracket that I have, as an optional accessory to purchase.
      So to answer your your question, yes it is possible with the proper accessories.

    What is the name of the trolling motor bracket? Where can you get it?

    • @outdoordetective

      I purchased mine directly from Bass Hunter as additional equipment. I just looked at the Bass Hunter web site and it is no longer shown as additional equipment available. Maybe email or call them to see if it is still available.

    just got the bass hunter 120 and was wondering if I can use my suzuki 6hp outboard?
    it weighs 52 pounds. can this boat handle it if i don't go full throttle?

    • @outdoordetective
      @outdoordetective  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh boy, I do not know the answer to this. However I can tell you that my little 4 5 pound thrust trolling motor makes the boat flex when I engage the power if set on speed setting 5. So adding that much power.... you may want to contact the manufacturer on that one to get their recommendation.
      Thanks for watching

      I'm guessing your trolling motor is on the front of the boat. to my thinking, the rear transom is stronger.
      I also think they sell a transom extension to give more strength when running an outboard motor.
      how do you like the bass hunter? I hear it's very stable and quality made.

      Pa Turnpike to Pa Rt. 10 north. Right on to Joanna Road. At stop sign turn right on to Elverson Road. After (about 100 yards) the only stop sign, slight left on to Hopewell Road. Stay on Hopewell Road to the lake (on you right)
