Best of luck for the half marathon, I think it's a really cool distance. Long enough to get really stuck into it, but not so long you need weeks to recover from it.

But lifting for runners is very important and I’d say my tips for beginners is to lift on your workout days (right after the workout if you can). I lift 2x a week (sometimes just one on the busy weeks) one day is straight legs and the other day is full body. I also suggest doing single leg exercises whenever you can (split squats, single leg calf/rdls) since when you’re running you’re always o one leg. That’s just my basic advice and obviously what event you train for/ what your goals are will change things :)
felt u on gaining aerobic strength but loosing pure speed. I'm a mile/1500 guy on the track but during cross country i'm so busy building up milage trying to pr in the 10k that i feel slow when it comes to fastest stuff now

Do you have recommendations for gloves to use during long runs on a cold day? I can't seem to find gloves that will keep my fingers from going numb on a run that lasts longer than an hour.
Any mitten is better than a glove. You want something that keeps your fingers together. If you can get some mittens have that like wind breaker material that’s the best. Bandit has some good ones, so does SaySky!

The trail conditions are amazing, the views are amazing - especially on a sunny day, and plenty of wildlife encounters - buffalo are a guarantee. It might make for some good content!

Chasing towards your dream!🏃🏽♂️💨 Im doing the same thing with my training chasing towards new PR’s and making progress to get closer to making the Olympic dream happen one day which I know I will get there and win gold when I do whether its the 10k, Half or full marathon one of those 3!🔥 Do it for my sole reason that pushes me every day which is to show something for all my people aka my family in my life for the ways they forever chnage and bless my life!🙏 I feel I must do something that big for what they all did for me! That when I make that special moment happen and everyone watching from home they will know because of them they were the only reason I was able to ever get there in the first place feeling the immense joy knowing that and I want that so bad for all of them!🙏 Sorry for the novelty I felt you hearing my big dream and the reason why I want to make that dream a reality would help ya in some way going into 2025 for your running journey since we all have a sole main reason why we do the things we do!👌🏽🎉 Keep up the good work and never lose that belief within you that you can make your dreams a reality cause you will but in time, patience, staying disciplined, being consistent, and having a positive mindset behind every day even in the dark days which I come to realize has so much power!🥇 Take care of yourself and hope to run into you guys sometime this indoor and outdoor season for me while im traveling around!🙏 P.S- A Questions for you if you ever have time to answer no worries if it takes a while!👌🏽 1.
