Arizona, copper mine railroads, 1991

Video recordings of three Arizona railroads connected to the copper mining industry in that state. The first two shots are of an Arizona Eastern quartet of apparently EMD GP9's pulling a merchandise freight train. Next are a couple of shots of an SMARRCo (San Manuel Arizona Railroad Co.) train with one of their ALCO RS-2's sandwiched between two Electro Motive GP38's and lastly a few shots of a very hard working Copper Basin Railway three unit all EMD consist straining to gain some speed pulling loaded copper ore cars up grade. All scenes recorded in March, 1991.
