In a nutshell, brilliant - loyal and dedicated soldiers. I served alongside them in Singapore in the late 70s - what a privilege. Thanks for sharing this excellent video. 👏👏👌
I had the honour and pleasure to have served along side of the Gurkhas in Cyprus 1974. What a respectful and respected Regiment. They deserve every accolade
Righteously proud people, unparalleled military history in their service for the Crown, warriors without peer and loyal to a fault. I hope they are never abandoned.
How about Bretton Woods? Investment in production not speculation. That means $100,000 for 7BN people each to return from taxhavens in derivatives markets alone... For starters...
Sounding the retreat is liked to the closing of the city gates. It was the call to let people know to retreat into the city before the gates were closed for the night.
Gurkha Wlefare Trust is a fantastic charity. I saw them in action in Nepal 3 years ago and they really impressed me. All organised by ex Gurkhas so shouldn;t really be surprised.
They deserve decent pay. Like ALL British military personnel, they are ridiculously underpaid. I'd say £28,000+/annualy would be suitable. Rather than the £21,000 you are paying our army.
I love the Gurkhas man, such great heroes.

I am surprised to learn that the Gurkhas know a retreat song. 💪🏼

Can tell you now they do get paid more than that and that’s the same pay as everybody else who starts from the bottom of the ranks
Better check your history...'HistoryforYouOfficial..

The most dangerous band in the world.
Awesome, Britain shows respect by letting them play. What an honour, rather than paying them fairly......
They get paid more though...
"Letting them play" ... that's an insult. How about Letting them save your arse...
Long history and seen as an honour..
Respect to the Gurkha's as ppl and fighters...
🙏🙏🙏🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🙏🙏🙏
Why are the Gurkhas paid much less than the ordinary British Soldiers.
They are paid equal
@@exourisrai8907 They are paid much less in pension rights than the ordinary British Soldiers.
That is only for the Gurkhas who served before 1996 - they are paid the Nepal pension rate
Birisi bunlara Türk olduklarını söylesin artık.
huh? Did Nepal move?
