The Legend of Legaia Demo that was released as a preview to the full game. It allows you to play through the Rim Elm portion of the game until Vahn gets access to the world map. Noa and Gala are allowed as playable characters, and there are some character interactions to reflect this. Certain audio clips not found in the NTSC-U release of the game are found in the demo. Additionally, not all arts are available and some even have their names swapped around. You'll also find that the translation is slightly different in the demo version.

Man getting this demo in the mail as a kid was so awesome. Basically what introduced me to the whole world of JRPGs.
Idk if it was the soundtrack, the storyline, or the adventure, but I fell so deep into this game as a child. I felt as though I was the 4th member of the crew. I was determined to free the world of the mist! This game was definitely a challenge.
The storyline is 9.5/10, but the soundtrack is 10/10!! I swear only few game has a memorable soundtrack/ music/ song, and this game is one of them. Classic rpg has the best soundtrack
For me it was the sound effects, the visuals, the mechanics, the story, the characters, everything. The game is perfect.
I played this demo about 40 times when i was 8-9, and then my parents got my a n64 star wars racing game for my bday. I instantly returned it for store credit sealed and bought legaia.

It's weirdly ominous to see the game playing out as normal, then Vahn walks into that cave and Noah is there. It's like one of those weird video game rumors we told on the playground in the pre-internet era.
Don't expect you still upload content to this day!! Love this community 😭

I remember, at different times, playing the demos for this and the Legend of Dragoon before I got the games. PS1 era gaming was a blast. Glad I grew up then.
I remember playing this on some other demo disc collection. May have been one of the PlayStation Underground demos. 🤓

I just played it recently (the demo version) it is quite fun to have the book (fire book 1, etc) early in the game

You can actually farm equipment off of the enemies in the demo.
It would have been cool if you could have transferred some things over if you had Data from the Demo on the memory card, using the data to read what arts you unlocked and the Seru you accrued. Still, the demo itself is quite interesting as well. I was wondering if they would just have it up to the rim elm, and what else might change, or i they'd acknowledge they were *in* a demo like some gams do. It definitely didn't dissapoint.
Wish they had kept the full victory lines!
Back then games were scared of sounding too japanese in the west, today it's kinda the opposite lol...

I think the max level during this demo is like 8 or 9. If I recall enemies just stop popping up after a while.
Rom hack about this game is good. Add more drop exp and gold
