No, you're not. I've said the exact same thing before and I've noticed it in others. Some autistic people, especially the poorly-socialized ones, have this heavy-sounding, stilted affect to their voice. Not all people on the spectrum have it, but everyone I've ever heard with it was on the spectrum. Speech impediments and delays are common with autistic people so that's probably why.
He also does a lot of projecting, which is fairly common for people on the Spectrum. One of the symptoms of ASD is difficulty intuitively grasping the perspective of others, and so you end up just silently assuming other people think and feel the same way you do. "I do/have experienced this" is a normal human error, but it's one people on the Spectrum are extra susceptible to. Also, while I don't wanna get too armchair psychologist, there's something to be said about robot personas and ASD. Media (and especially children's media) does a relatively poor job differentiating between not having feelings and struggling to process/express your feelings. What I've (very unscientifically) noticed is that what often ends up happening is that the robot/android characters end up being sympathetic since they are shown as experiencing the same sort of social troubles as people on the Spectrum. Obviously not everyone who has a robot pfp is Autistic, but it wouldn't surprise me if there were a large overlap.

I got into Vocaloid because of the robotic aspect, and always loved stories of dolls and puppets finding identity beyond the expectations they were created with. The idea that they may never be "human" but that they can still be equals resonated with me as a kid strongly, and it resulted in me developing a love for nonhuman characters in general (Cat girls, Robots, Demons, Fae, etc.) Due to this "different yet equal" view i have to nonhuman "hominid" characters. While I may not be perfect at nuance, being extroverted has given me the luxury to socialize in a lot of spaces and learn a lot of differing perspectives. No, you're not. I've said the exact same thing before and I've noticed it in others. Some autistic people, especially the poorly-socialized ones, have this heavy-sounding, stilted affect to their voice. Not all people on the spectrum have it, but everyone I've ever heard with it was on the spectrum. Speech impediments and delays are common with autistic people so that's probably why.
He also does a lot of projecting, which is fairly common for people on the Spectrum. One of the symptoms of ASD is difficulty intuitively grasping the perspective of others, and so you end up just silently assuming other people think and feel the same way you do. "I do/have experienced this" is a normal human error, but it's one people on the Spectrum are extra susceptible to.
Also, while I don't wanna get too armchair psychologist, there's something to be said about robot personas and ASD. Media (and especially children's media) does a relatively poor job differentiating between not having feelings and struggling to process/express your feelings. What I've (very unscientifically) noticed is that what often ends up happening is that the robot/android characters end up being sympathetic since they are shown as experiencing the same sort of social troubles as people on the Spectrum. Obviously not everyone who has a robot pfp is Autistic, but it wouldn't surprise me if there were a large overlap.

I got into Vocaloid because of the robotic aspect, and always loved stories of dolls and puppets finding identity beyond the expectations they were created with. The idea that they may never be "human" but that they can still be equals resonated with me as a kid strongly, and it resulted in me developing a love for nonhuman characters in general (Cat girls, Robots, Demons, Fae, etc.) Due to this "different yet equal" view i have to nonhuman "hominid" characters.
While I may not be perfect at nuance, being extroverted has given me the luxury to socialize in a lot of spaces and learn a lot of differing perspectives. Unfortunately many autistic folk struggle to find the niche that lets them be themselves and figure out how socialization works to a broader degree, and I just happened to find mine through Cosplay and Comicon before the point of no return.
