Buddha is the discoverer. The laws of nature and have taught Buddhists to know the truth of arising, remaining and passing away. The Buddha taught that we do not have God. He is a prophet. We make statues of Buddha to remember him. and Buddhism has no god

Why should this narrator lie, about Sri Lankan Custom of offering meals. Do understand, there is no other country that enjoys offering food to anybody - particularly those who visit the country. This tradition was never "lost" but gained more and more and uptodate Alms giving, treatments meted out to the strangers without prejudice. It is a pitiy that the narrator failed to pronounce a single Name properly or at least nearest to those great names of Buddhist Shrines.
The narrator is most likely referring to the tradition of monks and nuns going on piṇḍapāta which is not a very common practice in Sri Lanka today. In Myanmar and Thailand this is a daily routine for most monastics. Of course Sri Lankans are very generous offering dana at the monasteries every day. I totally agree about the horrible pronunciation 😂
