- A video of a two-week vacation on the island of Kos and the neighboring islands in the Dodecanese archipelago - Pserimos, Kalimnos and Nisyros. The video was recorded using DJI Osmo Pocket, GoPro Hero 5 and the DJI Spark drone. We were on the island at the second part of September and beginning of October - when the weather is perfect :)
Kos is not a large island, but it is very beautiful. In the north there are lowlands and tourist resorts. In the south of the island, there are quite high mountains with the largest peak Dikeos (843 m above sea level). The capital of the island is the city of the same name - Kos. If you like to actively spend time on sightseeing and at the same time you like to eat well, I recommend choosing the capital of the island as a starting point. There are no large and modern tourist resorts here, but the city itself is beautiful and well connected with the rest of the island. If, on the other hand, you want to lie on a sunbed by the hotel pool, I recommend choosing one of the smaller towns like Agios Fokas, Tigaki, Marmari or Mastichari. The island is a paradise for lovers of two-wheelers - bicycles (there are a lot of bicycle paths here) and scooters (it is the basic means of transport for residents). Regardless of whether you choose a bicycle, scooter or car, the island has a very large number of rentals that offer very good price conditions.
What surprised us the most during the holidays? Islanders. I have heard that they are very hospitable, but you have to go there to learn what true hospitality. Everyone is smiling, when they get to know you, they wave to you on the street and are always eager to talk. The second thing that captivated me? Of course, the food :) Everything we ate - from grilled meat, vegetarian dishes to seafood, was delicious. And of course the wine. We've been to two local wineries and the wine in both was delicious.

Kos is one of the most beautiful place I've ever been in 😍 the hospitality of the locals is amazing.

Great video! My family is from Kos (Kefalos) and have spent full summers there and visit every 2-3 years. I can say that you've done an amazing job of showing the beauty of the island and its various sites. This video would make many of the locals proud.
For those interested in visiting, Kos has many beautiful sites and a great place to relax and enjoy the beaches and nature. It's also one of the cheapest places to stay and eat in Greece, making it a hidden gem.
We went to many Islands, but their is nothing like kos. We stay every year on kos, to many years ago.🇬🇷😉❤

A brilliant video. We were there in Oct 2020, 3rd until 14th. We did`nt visit all the Island, but was staying at the Blue Lagoon Hotel, Kos, you passed it with the drone view over head. We did go into Kos town centre a few times and visited the ruin sites etc, also had a trip out on the pirate ship, to the 3 Islands. Love seeing all the other areas on Kos Island, through your video. I`m hoping we can go back one day in the future.
On October 3rd I was returning home :) It was my best holiday I've ever had :D I also hope to be back there :)

I was leaving the island at the very beginning of October and it was still warm then, but some restaurants and hotels were finishing their season.

Great memories I worked kos new town in a bar. In 1992 paradise beach was amazing them days.on my day off most of us bar workers used to hire scooters and go for the day.

Planuję się tam wybrać w drugiej połowie września, jaką mieliście wtedy temperature?
Było bardzo ciepło - w granicach 25-30 stopni. Dopiero w dniu wyjazdu na samym początku października zrobiło się już nieco chłodniej i było coś koło 20 stopni.
@@mwitkowski A jak woda? Widać po Was że już chyba chłodniejsza w niektórych miejscach była
@@EziofromFirenze to zależy od miejsca. Na otwartych akwenach była chłodna bo zaraz przed naszym przylotem był sztorm który zmieszał wodę. W spokojnych zatoczkach była w miarę ciepła. Zresztą nie ma reguły - na Rodos temperatura wody była różna co kilkaset metrów plaży.

Excellent video! I will be going to Turkey and Greece in June/July 2022 for honeymoon! Going to start on Kos Island, would you recommend day trips to Pserimos/Kalymnos? Or are they worth spending more time on? Thanks in advance!
Thank you! When we were in Kos, we went on a day trip around Pserimos and Kalymnos on the Christina boat. We loved it - especially in Pserimos. Unfortunately, I cannot answer whether it is worth going there for longer 😅 If you want peace and quiet, you can go to Pserimos to rest. The second time we went to Kalymnos by ferry from Mastichari for the whole day exploring the city. My biggest recommendation is a trip to the volcanic island of Nisiros - it was the best trip of the whole vacation - go down to the volcano crater 🌋😄 Mandraki town is beautiful

Siamo andati una decina d'anni fa,forse una delle isole greche che meno mi è piaciuta....A parte il mare cristallino, qualche bella spiaggia e le rovine,è molto sporca...trascurata,la gente del posto non troppo ospitale.Anche i ristoranti non pulitissimi e nemmeno le strutture alberghiere, molte vecchie e fatiscenti. Magari da allora le cose sono cambiate, si spera!
