The biggest thing about Tom Scott finishing is he told his audience a full year in advance. I hope it will be possible to do something similar for vlogbrothers.
Many of us have grown up with these two, went to college with these two, and had our lives enriched by these two. Thank you for all you have given and shared.
The fact that John liked your comment AND the fact that he purposely kept in the last couple seconds of him "turning off" the camera so as to reach that 4:00 mark makes me believe this was entirely intentional. Verrry nice touch, John.
Imo you two are what we dreamed the internet would be: a force for good, inclusive, striving to make things better and let the good snowball in to the future. Roll on snowball!
With Tom Scott - there are two things that stood out for me 1) He had been preparing his audience for about a year. He know when it was time... and he let the audience in on the secret (and even some preparation on requesting certain things to look at) 2) That ending... Yes, maybe you can say it was a bit cheezy, but to go out while hanging off of an helicopter (after just saying that was one thing he hadn't done).
The montage: Every clip I saw, I remembered the video it was from. And that shows that his videos stuck in my brain: I actually learned something from watching them all.

I had to rewatch the last moments of this video because I heard "18th season" and momentarily blacked out. I really thought 2007 was, at max, 12 years ago. That being said, I'm grateful to have you both here and to get to experience the project while it's still being completed.
"Second string offensive linemen who are kind of personality hires" is such a good metaphor. Vlogbrothers has never been close to being the biggest star on TH-cam, but you are almost universally respected. Star quarterbacks get a lot of attention, but they also get a lot of haters, whereas almost nobody hates on offensive linemen. In my experience, they have some of the warmest personalities of any football players, and everyone cheers when they get to have their moment in the spotlight.
This. God knows for how long i have seen Hank and John around the internet. Heck i started the TFIOS fever in my school, making me a proper John Green fan for about 10years. When did i get to know that he and his brother who happens to be Hank Green have an youtube channel? A year ago. I do wonder how that happened. Why is this channel i itself not more popular?
I agree with this completely, save for one small detail. There was in fact a time where Vlogbrothers were firmly among the biggest stars on youtube. This was in the before-time though, before the content-economy had really developed. I started watching vlogbrothers when I was in grade 9, and now I'm approaching 30, and I'm so grateful to have been a member of what feels like an unambiguously good, interested, and empathic community. Here's to the game, and however long it takes.
Let’s keep in mind there are lots of ways to “retire” it does not have to be all at once or final, it can be a sabbatical, a break, a long vacation, finishing a project, goal or mission and moving onto something else, it can also be going part-time or doing things sporadically, as long as people are allowed options than only age/health/death can cause actual retirement. 💜
We live in a world that has brought most of us up to believe that "The End" is a really bad and scary thing (we even fear change) when it would actually benefit it us in so many more ways to learn to appreciate and to even celebrate the end of something, and to look forward to the next up-and-coming thing. It's certainly okay to be sad when that event happens, but it shouldn't distract from a potentially new fun thing to focus on. I never watched Scott's stuff, but I did see his final video, and gave a mental toast to his accomplishment. I wish him the best in whatever his next adventure might be.
I read TFiOS in 2013 after I lost my mother to cancer. Esther's fight reminded me of my mother's fight. So of course I loved the book. But it wasn't until 2015 after losing my father to cancer too that I started watching you both. At first not regularly as I wasn't so into youtube back then. But in 2016 I started watching every video and I've never stopped since. I love everything you do, I'm a big fan of the podcast and listened to every episode. I bought pizzamas & P4A merch. I read your other books. There is no other creators that I follow closely the way I follow you both. I know someday this will end, and I will miss you both so much, but I want you to know that you've made my life a thousand times better. Thank you thank you thank you.
This made me emotional. Vlogbrothers has been my touchstone for 18 years. And yes, it must end at some point. John, when it tells you it's time I hope you can hear it. I'll be sad but I respect ya'll so much and am grateful for all you've done.
I totally missed out for the whole run until I discovered them last year, and I would still greatly miss them. But would be so happy for them to be able to stop on their terms when the time is right.
Really appreciate you speaking to us on this topic. We as audience can be scared of change, or losing connection to you the creator. But to hear your perspective gives new meaning to this whole journey we share. Thank you for being so candid with us, as u always are ❤️
I was hoping to find someone who'd pointed this out so that I could rest easily knowing the truth had been shared but that I didn't have to be the pedant. You are a true public servant in the mold of McGarry
Thanks for mentioning this. The caffeine hasn’t quite hit my brain yet (and I’m *not* a morning person), so when my brain got stuck on the “8”, I thought it was just me being me. Oh, for a Season Eight! (I’d settle for a new Aaron Sorkin tv series, but last I read he wasn’t up for doing another one. 😢 😞)
As someone who's watched the entirety of West Wing, probably about 9 times. I can back you up only 7 seasons. Maybe he is counting the HBO get out to vote reunion episode as the eighth season by itself?
I’m so pleased/grateful that you don’t feel finished yet! We love you and want the game to be serving you as well as the community Reflecting on hanks video I picture that when you do finish up you might introduce us to other creators as another way of carrying the community forward
Honestly, the day that vlogbrothers ceases to be a part of youtube, will be a very very sad day for me. I have gotten so much joy from all the things that you guys have done. I have read the books, listened to the podcasts, watched the movies, cheered with you guys, and cried with you guys. When it's all said and done, and it's not over yet, you guys will be able to look back and see all the good that you put out into the world. All the videos will be watched again to lead the viewers down the path of how Hank and John Green did so much and accomplished so much. It's been a journey and I am happy to be enjoying the midlife crisis era.
I mean, that's kind of how I felt about Tom Scott, but it then on the day his channel ended, the main thing I felt was a kind of gentle hopefulness. It's not sad to remember a thing that went great, and to hope for more great things to come.
To be fair, them retiring won't mean they've ceased to be part of youtube. Their videos will still be here after they stop uploading and the things they've done that shaped the platform and the content creation landscape will last far longer than even the ability to access their videos.
One of the biggest lessons I have come to understand about life in recent years is that it's completely fine to not know how things will turn out and to not attach my sense of fulfillment and worth to expected outcomes. What's important is to appreciate the present moment and the journey. All things change, things end, and new experiences arise always. I think there is beauty in that.
John, some Nerdfighters are advanced in years;myself included. (57) We need to be eased into things mentally. That title has sent my blood pressure up and my heart racing!
please don't say advanced years is 57, i just turned 47 and i was having the same symptoms :P every time the doctors look at my husband (same age as me but sadly in much worse health) and go "gosh you're young for heart and kidney problems" i cry a little inside... my mother used to say "old age is not for sissies" but nowadays i'm not even sure where old age REALLY starts!
@@Beryllahawk I get the same comments from my doctors. My medical issues are different, but I get the,”You’re holding up well despite it all!” Okay…. I didn’t mind turning 50-I still felt young. But the thought of 60 approaching is a bit freaky! But it’s better than the alternative,as they say.
I started teaching Paper Towns to a group of 10th graders today. Talking to them about vlogbrothers was interesting, especially because it has been such a big part of my growing up!
The amount of panic I experienced with that headline, I swear! Vlog Brothers cannot end until after John comes on here to announce the new name for the Dear John and Hank podcast in 2028
The archive comment really made me think. This whole channel could be a wealth of information for historians of the future! If that information lasts of course. Recent years have shown me that nothing is quite as wrong as the saying "nothing ever gets deleted from the Internet". Things do. All the time. We should really be thinking about making a reliable backup of this channel. Something that will last.
Hi! I agree! My roommate (he's a PhD student in Comp sci) told me that per all the current research, Magnetic Tape is the safest storage method with the most amount of storage space! And like, magnetic tape as in VCR or Cassette XD apparently it's a pretty slow retrieval method, so it's not great for speed, but if you want something to last a loooooong time and be protected from damage, transferring the Vlogbrothers catalog onto VCR is kinda the way to go oddly enough,
If I recall correctly, Brotherhood 2.0 DID get archived by some organization, but I think the rest of the channel still only lives on TH-cam (and John/Hank's hard drives if they've stored any).
@@grimmgoosegoose216 As someone who has worked in the media IT sector for 10 years and the media sector generally for 20, this is true… in a vacuum. The media itself is very shelf stable. However, you have to have: a machine that will read that media, into a system that can understand the data on it. No matter what storage medium you choose, there’s no guarantee that the other pieces needed to retrieve and interpret that data will continue to exist. Go Google the saga of McMoon’s for an object lesson in this principle, and that story only involves 50-ish years of time. In other words: everything ends. 😅

I've always seen Vlogbrothers as a series of projects undertaken by you, Hank, and/or Nerdfighteria at large. You and Hank completed that first year of videos. Hank created VidCon. You both wrote excellent books. Each year's Project for Awesome is a project. Each year's Pizzamas. Even the sillier, smaller ones, like when Nerdfighters submitted their own happy dances for one of Hank's videos 87 years ago. Etc. Will the TH-cam videos end? Will you and Hank eventually retire? Yeah, for sure. But the silly and artistic and world-changing projects under the Vlogbrothers/Nerdfighteria umbrella have the potential to continue for a long, long time, because that is the kind of community you've cultivated, and I'm very happy for that.
god this video and these comments are making me cry. I love this community so much and I'm excited to continue the journey with you all until it ends (especially if it ends after the videos do)
Oh, we are definitely having midlife crises! I just bought a football player in the January transfer window, and Hank is doing stand-up! Classic Midlife crises!!! -John
@@vlogbrothers The Jurgen Klopp, and Ali Al-Hamadi news has probably added to the crises this week. I look forward to hearing how it is handled on the podcast 😀
I remember seeing vlogbrothers in 2007... a video on healthcare, while I was on Blogger. You're part of my life now. Like a pair of beloved cousins who always make me think when I see them.
Its silly to hope something you love wont end, but in a lot of ways, these videos have been the most constant thing in my life since 2010. Its hard to think about that going away, but at the same time i know those moments will still be there. When I had my first child 4 years ago i went back and watched so many of those early videos with Henry as a baby and I took so much encouragement from seeing John as a first time father. I know this will end as most things do, but for the now, i'm very grateful and hapy to have you both here.
I'm so glad you don't feel finished, but whatever is best for y'all is what ultimately we want for you all. Thank you both for each year, we appreciate you!! Vlogbrothers is such a lovely weekly treat!!
Thanks for letting me be a part of the game all these years John 🧡 See you on Tuesday for as long as you want to stay here (And see you next Thursday in Atlanta🧡)
In all honesty, the end of vlogbrothers would likely mean the soon-to-follow end of nerdfighteria, which I can’t stomach. I hope that whenever “the game” tells you you’re done, that there’s someone else that can foster this community, I’d hate to lose it.
I was recently showing the ice cream changes video to a friend and I just thought wow, Hank looks so young. You guys have always been influential internet dads but I guess I hadn't realized how much time had passed until I went back through the archives. You've created something beautiful and thank goodness you guys are going to keep playing the game 🤍
Sounds like when I retired my D&D character that made epic. I loved playing her, but it was very much a 'the game tells me' where I felt it on a personal level, not even the DM or anything about the campaign suggested it, but I felt in my heart her story was done being told. And it was a good story, and I was happy with it.
I think the important part is that when something ends, another begins. Completing the project means another can begin. Whether that’s creatively or it’s living your life. Life can be a project and it’s ok to step back and focus on that. For however long we’re together and even after that, DFTBA
I LOVE the banter between two brothers who love each other. You and Hank are so generous to share that with all of us. I was so sad when Click and Clack, The Tappit Brothers ended, though I totally understand why it did. It was one of the programs I most loved and received so much joy and laughter from their show. You and Hank have given me that on TH-cam. Thank you.
John, I wanted to let you know how much the nerdfighteria community and the vlogbrothers channel have contributed to my growth as a person. I've been watching you since I was 15-ish, now I'm 22. You've been a greater source of knowledge, wisdom and morality on the issues in our world, than any book, personal advice or university course I've had. For me, you're (the whole community) valuable because I think you're the best educators of how to be an informed, engaged and productive citizen of our world - as you once said (paraphrased a bit). I know you probably don't like this sort of flattery but rest assured, I believe you and Hank have done an icnredible job in whatever this game is you're playing.
Oh sweet relief! I feel as if I've just discovered Vlogbrothers and your other ventures. You and Hank and your teams give me hope, inspiration, and marching orders to make the world a better place.
I feel like endings can be nice? Especially ones that you expect are within your control. I say this as someone who looked very forward to undergraduate studies ending, unlike a lot of my peers who are nostalgic, and then also unlike my peers decided to go back to the same school for a graduate program. But also as someone who had been laid off, fired, and decided to quit a job because of my panic attacks after graduating, having the "your leaving means your time was a success" is therapeutic, like retraining my brain to rethink what's a success and what's failure.
"We're the personality hires" And we love you for it vlogbrothers! We're so grateful for the years of content and learning. We'll be here till the end and in a way. It will never end, only another door will open.
@@Pingviinimursu Only if you're under 30! LOL. I think of it in terms of how you think about someone dying at a given age. If someone dies in their 60s, it's not unheard-of, but we think they died "too young," at least. Full disclosure: I'm in my early 50s.
My parasocial love for nerdfighteria will obviously live as long as I do no matter when the project ends. Maybe it will live even longer through stories I tell my children and the legacy of decreasing worldsuck. I'm just happy to be here while we're here, and to play my smol part in it. Cheers everyone ♡♡
I have watched nearly every single video you and Hank have put out in the last 17+ years. I really hope there's more than 17 to come. I'm glad to have been a part of the conversation for as long as I can remember.
I stumbled upon Crash Course probably 7 or 8 years before a friend introduced me to Vlogbrothers last year. I will cherish this beautiful community for as long as you wish to continue. These titles from Hank and you that sound like you're retiring TODAY are scaring the heck out of me lol but I'll learn. Thank you for being awesome.
I just realized that I've started to watch your videos since 2011 and at that time my English wasn't so good. You guys have taught me a lot and you keep on doing so. I hope I can still get to learn from you in the next years❤
i’m approaching the 10 year mark on me being a nerdfighter, and i’m 20. it’s comforting and crazy to think this community has shaped and meant so much to me for half of my life. but i haven’t always been a weekly video watcher, and i often throughout those 10 years haven’t been able to give as much energy and attention i want to the community. yet i know john and hank won’t always be a weekly presence on the platform. while i know this video doesn’t mean you guys are going anywhere anytime super soon, this is my sign to really try and take in and contribute to all this community has to offer while this chapter of it exists :,)
Heart attacks twice in a row, can't wait for the next video "We're done" and the next video "Goodbye forever" and they're just more philosophy of TH-cam
The 2024 year end recap is going to look back at this month as the “Remember when all the TH-cam creators teased/threatened to retire and the masses were suddenly struck with the existential dread of not having their constant fix of reliable content?” period, and I just wanna say I called it.
Awwww, that made me get teary at the end. I had this flow of warmth for you. I'm happy your life is fulfilling and purposeful and that you get to continue to cherish this wonderful relationship dynamic with someone you love. Congratulations.
Hey personally I'm proof the titles work. I love John and Hank and have been keeping up with their other content here and there. But this is the first TH-cam vid I've watched in a very long time lol.
I remember Dec 31, 2007. Watched every single Vlogbrothers 2.0 . Still watch yall. You guys were part of the inspiration for me to form Gone to the Snow Dogs, which just turned 14. And like you have said, everything come to an end. My channel has lost most of it's audience as they age out to something else, or my channel hasn't changed to the new Mr Beast style to draw in new viewers. In fact, if that was my only income, I would have been forced to quit 4 years ago, as the channel is just slowoly doing worse and worse. TH-cam would have me think it was my fault, but it's not. Like you said, everything has a lifespan, and that channel, is probably done, BUT I am not. I love what I do, I love how what I do educates people about dogs, and I love making the content. How will it end? Who knows, but as long as I still enjoy it, I will keep on creating! DFTBA.
I used to watch you guys all the time. Your videos helped me laugh and feel less alone when I was anxious and depressed in college. I took a break and started watching again recently and I still love the videos so much!! I would love to keep watching as long as you guys keep making them.
I don’t want this, or many other games, to ever end but I know & accept that there will be a time when they do. All I can hope is that I’ll be ready for it as well.
The weird thing is I've been watching Vlogbrothers since about 2008/9 and I still feel like I am learning things about both of you and from you. Plus having a laugh and a cry and other emotions.. along the way. Thank you.
My congratulations of Tom Scott was mostly based on one line which resonated with me ‘I could do less and be happier’ which in my opinion is all that matters
I’m excited for when the project ends and every so often Hank or John pops up to retirement to say something they want to say. My Grandfather wrote for the newspaper until he died and I’m glad that at the end he only wrote when he wanted to, but he always had a platform to write. I wish the same for you both.
I think that everyone deserves a chance to say goodbye to their friends and sail west into the sunset. You guys deserve it and I hope that we can send you off in style whenever the time comes.
Thank you, as always, for your insight and wisdom, and also could you please introduce us to the lovely paintings behind you, especially the new one behind your right shoulder?
One of the biggest understatements I've ever heard, "It seems like the game still has a use for us". John, we do not have a "use for you". We NEED you. Thank you both for all you do.
You guys have been giving me heart palpitations with these titles recently. Nerdfighteria is getting older, don't cause a mass casualty event with titles like these 😂
you two provide such a comforting and inspiring place in our world. whenever you decide, or don't, that it's time to change directions, i will simply be grateful for everything you have given us through the years. just take care of yourselves and do what's best for yall. i will always be grateful for what you have contributed to so many of our lives
I somehow suspect that, "I was convinced by a TH-cam video", will be an unimpressive explanation to my bosses if I do end up quitting my job. Still, this was perfect for the journey that I am on right now and gave me a lot to think about.

Backup catchers might be better. John gives me Pat Borders vibes.
@@SylviusTheMad I love the Pat Borders comparison.
It's weird nobody hates offensive linemen, when they spend all their time being offensive.
Them be a lot of big sports ball words. 🏴☠️
that's what jerma is doing right? he's just gonna drop the schedule altogether and stream sporadically whenever he wants to
YOU GUYS HAVE GOTTA STOP WITH THESE TITLES
Seriously lol
You gotta start accepting the impermanence of the things you love
Agreed
For real. I had to stop everything I was doing
@@nickfcarter yeah lol I realize we’re completely ignoring the point they’re trying to make rn by freaking out about the idea of them leaving
John, Hank, I love you both, but STOP SCARING US!
Amen!
Mortality is a heck of a thing to contemplate.

Yes!!!!
Exactly what I was gonna say!
John, as someone who also has OCD and anxiety around death, this video is very surprisingly comforting
He's really good at comforting others through things he himself struggles with. I love that.

I'm sorry for your losses.
This. We'll be sad but we'll respect it and just be happy for everything we got.
This is the comment I was looking for. Exactly.
Same, the ending made me tear up and I really hope this community will still be here and doing things for years to come
Really appreciate you speaking to us on this topic. We as audience can be scared of change, or losing connection to you the creator. But to hear your perspective gives new meaning to this whole journey we share.
Thank you for being so candid with us, as u always are ❤️
As someone who finished watching the West Wing yesterday, I would like to say (very persnickerly) that I *wish* it had 8 seasons. It has 7.
Been relistening to the west wing weekly podcast along side rewatching the show. It’s a very good show of 7 seasons.

I’m so pleased/grateful that you don’t feel finished yet!
We love you and want the game to be serving you as well as the community
Reflecting on hanks video I picture that when you do finish up you might introduce us to other creators as another way of carrying the community forward
I can’t imagine a channel more core to how I feel about the platform.

That title has sent my blood pressure up and my heart racing!
please don't say advanced years is 57, i just turned 47 and i was having the same symptoms :P
every time the doctors look at my husband (same age as me but sadly in much worse health) and go "gosh you're young for heart and kidney problems" i cry a little inside...
my mother used to say "old age is not for sissies" but nowadays i'm not even sure where old age REALLY starts!
You're def a Law & Order SVU type project. I love seeing these. It's taught me to be a better sister, and friend.
Honestly true. Hank and John handle things with a grace and good attitude I try to learn from.
I started teaching Paper Towns to a group of 10th graders today. Talking to them about vlogbrothers was interesting, especially because it has been such a big part of my growing up!
That’s so exciting! I hope they enjoy it!
Nice warm feelings. When I have kids I hope youtube lets me queue up an endless scroll of scishow & vlog brothers videos chronologically.
Just now had the realization that this channel is as old if not older than my students. Wild.
@@grimmgoosegoose216 Funny how the oldest ones are the safest hahaha. Now just needa figure out how to get one and use it😅 Also what do you think would be the next best thing, iCloud?

I’m sure it’s been there forever but I just noticed the MF DOOM art in the background. Knowing that John listens to the mouse and the mask is incredible.
Came for this ❤
noticed it too i was looking for a comment on this
I don't even listen to MF DOOM and I was surprised by the art and was looking for this comment.
Incredible!
I guess you could say it's...SUPA.
Completing the project is tricky, because it’s a project for awesome, but also a project that IS awesome 😁
god this video and these comments are making me cry. I love this community so much and I'm excited to continue the journey with you all until it ends (especially if it ends after the videos do)
Are yall okay? Been getting a lot of mid life crisis vibes from the channels recently
Oh, we are definitely having midlife crises! I just bought a football player in the January transfer window, and Hank is doing stand-up! Classic Midlife crises!!! -John
Reminds me of a recent DH&J.
John: Hank is having a midlife crisis.
Hank: WE HOPE!
John: See that's supposed to be the kind of dark joke I make

💜
Beautifully put. Everything ends eventually, but what a ride it can be along the way.
Much love to the Vlogbrothers! 💛
I'm so glad you don't feel finished, but whatever is best for y'all is what ultimately we want for you all. Thank you both for each year, we appreciate you!! Vlogbrothers is such a lovely weekly treat!!
However and whenever it ends, just know y'all have shared so much quality content and knowledge thoughout the years. Thank you for all you do.
Thanks for letting me be a part of the game all these years John 🧡
See you on Tuesday for as long as you want to stay here
(And see you next Thursday in Atlanta🧡)
In all honesty, the end of vlogbrothers would likely mean the soon-to-follow end of nerdfighteria, which I can’t stomach. I hope that whenever “the game” tells you you’re done, that there’s someone else that can foster this community, I’d hate to lose it.
Love that John instinctively stresses “Tom Scott” like “TomSka”
I was also wondering why he pronounces “TomSka” like that :D especially, since this Tom finished doing vlogs on TH-cam this month.
I actually felt like John was pronouncing it like Tom Scott, when Hank kept pronouncing it like TomSka xD

I liked the idea on DH&J where you do your last year as BH2.0 style!
I think that schedule these days would definitely make them throw in the towel if they weren’t so sure before! 😅 I do greedily love the idea though!

But I wanna watch old man green bros in 20 years
They're not even 50 yet, right? They won't be old in 20 years, they'll be in their 60s!
@@elainebelzDetroit 60s is definitely old
@@Pingviinimursu Only if you're under 30!
I'm glad to have been a part of the conversation for as long as I can remember.
you guys will find a way to so beautifully walk this community through the process by the time the game is done we will thank you for the ending
I hope I can still get to learn from you in the next years❤
That’s awesome!
i’m approaching the 10 year mark on me being a nerdfighter, and i’m 20. it’s comforting and crazy to think this community has shaped and meant so much to me for half of my life. but i haven’t always been a weekly video watcher, and i often throughout those 10 years haven’t been able to give as much energy and attention i want to the community. yet i know john and hank won’t always be a weekly presence on the platform. while i know this video doesn’t mean you guys are going anywhere anytime super soon, this is my sign to really try and take in and contribute to all this community has to offer while this chapter of it exists :,)
Heart attacks twice in a row, can't wait for the next video "We're done" and the next video "Goodbye forever" and they're just more philosophy of TH-cam
oh gad
Fr! Are hank and John trying to kill us with these titles‽
Y’all have done so much with your lives and your platform. It’s an honor to have been here for over 10 years of it
The 2024 year end recap is going to look back at this month as the “Remember when all the TH-cam creators teased/threatened to retire and the masses were suddenly struck with the existential dread of not having their constant fix of reliable content?” period, and I just wanna say I called it.
We shall see. I wish I could do a remindme!
Loved watching in 2007. Still tuning in during 2024. I'll keep sticking around as long as you both do!
I’m glad you still love the game, because I love watching you both play!!
I appreciate the naming of these videos. They encourage us to dwell on the feelings it provokes.
"The game tells you when you're done." Love that. I look forward to enjoying however long the game keeps telling you guys to play.
DFTBA.
I already miss Tom Scott's videos, but you're right, ten years (exactly and consistently) is an achievement and should be admired.
I used to watch you guys all the time. Your videos helped me laugh and feel less alone when I was anxious and depressed in college. I took a break and started watching again recently and I still love the videos so much!! I would love to keep watching as long as you guys keep making them.
Whenever it is, you both know that we'll be sad to see it go.
Can't tell you how happy that makes me! The insights you've shared have been a tremendous help for me! Thank you so much!
Thank you.
We'll all respect the ending of the project, but you better believe we're all nerdfighters for life
My congratulations of Tom Scott was mostly based on one line which resonated with me ‘I could do less and be happier’ which in my opinion is all that matters
I want Hanks voice to become voice of the future worlds overlord of AI. Calming telling all of us that we have nothing to fear from augmented reality.
I’m excited for when the project ends and every so often Hank or John pops up to retirement to say something they want to say. My Grandfather wrote for the newspaper until he died and I’m glad that at the end he only wrote when he wanted to, but he always had a platform to write. I wish the same for you both.
I just got here! You can’t retire anytime soon. I just started this game.
If TH-cam won't tell you I will. John, you're done..... with this video. I'll see ya in the next one
Which will end first, vlog brothers or tuberculosis?
I think that everyone deserves a chance to say goodbye to their friends and sail west into the sunset. You guys deserve it and I hope that we can send you off in style whenever the time comes.
Thank you, as always, for your insight and wisdom, and also could you please introduce us to the lovely paintings behind you, especially the new one behind your right shoulder?
cant lie the MF DOOM painting just chillin there is super hard RIP
The west wing was 7 seasons! It also remains my favorite show ever.
One of the biggest understatements I've ever heard, "It seems like the game still has a use for us". John, we do not have a "use for you". We NEED you. Thank you both for all you do.
I NEED TH-camRS TO STOP GIVING ME HEARTATTACKS
Considering the end of vlogbrothers has me teary-eyed at work. This community means so much.
Everything ends, but the fright you give me through these titles somehow feels perpetual...
I somehow suspect that, "I was convinced by a TH-cam video", will be an unimpressive explanation to my bosses if I do end up quitting my job. Still, this was perfect for the journey that I am on right now and gave me a lot to think about.
It ends with your grand kids making a video saying Hey grandpa.
