For some reason, I'm getting good old videos on my recommendations. TH-cam fixed their algorithms. Gone are the stupid pranks... and more of real good talents.
The sax is a beautiful instrument and I’ve had the unparalleled pleasure of playing soprano, alto, tenor (my favorite) and bari. This is a perfect example of what instrumental music can offer the world, what I wouldn’t give to run across this in person.
Marina Pappas Tenor is in a different key so you can read music from trumpets and clarinets if you want and it has the best tone in my opinion. Bari is in the same key as alto and is really fun to be the bass sometimes but getting used to a big mouthpiece and using so much air may be a challenge coming from alto :)
I took band back when i was in 6th grade up to my junior year and quit my senior. I then jumped into piano to see if i can learn to play the quickly jumped into guitar. One thing i miss about play trumpet in band was you had others to play along with you and of cours a director. The control these guys had on the crescendos and decrescendos and f, ff, fff, p, pp, ppp. For those who dont know musical signs and terms f= forte= loud, ff= louder fff= loudest p= piano = soft and you get the rest. So to play this song is difficult enough and to do it with a wood wind quartet is even more amazing because if one messes up you will know it in a full band you wont. And to play with that kinda control of volumes with no director to guide you even though signs are on the music to let you know when to accent slur staccato play loud or soft ect.... Its hard to try to get the the music to sound as it should so you have the director to guide you as to how loud you should play or speed. So to do that with out a im soryy made a mistake i mean conductor is pretty freaking amazing knowing when to perform these little actions i call em to give the sing the emotion it should have. As i saw some moving around to the music as they play while increasing sound or decreasing it sometimes helps you know how far to take that note.
Because you really like this song and it's an amazing interpretation. That's why your hypothalamus and pituitary gland pour out endorphins while hearing this.
