    I have never seen a content like this before..your words should reach more students and architects this can really help many to have a clear vision.❤️

    My two cents as a CAD guy - learn Python. I was laid off with Covid and took advantage of it. I think it's good to get a knowledge of 'under the hood' of how computers work, since we all use computer programs for Arch/Eng. It's hard at first but just stick with it and it will click. Plus we generally use Excel and other programs that Python can interact with and it's Free!

    Let us shape the future of architecture together🔥. You inspired me to learn this. As I have no programming knowledge, I would like start with python in grasshopper. It would be so much helpful if you could elaborate on that topic.

    I'm using Rhino+Grasshopper, also wanting to learn Python! By the way, nice Rach's edition, I'm studying a Scriabin Etude at the moment.

    Big tick for "visual programming". Apples Quartz Composer is free and a great place to start for those new to coding. Check out the Facebook "Quartz Composer" Group's pinned post for where to get it, how to install it and other advice. QC is heaps of fun and a very easy way to start learning visual programming or flow programming with lots of graphical instant gratification and 3D mesh tools.

    Hey Milos. Congratulations on an expert channel.
    The content is unique and gives a lot of depth in short time.
    I wanted to know what is your opinion on architects using processing as a coding platform?

    • @ProArchitecture
      @ProArchitecture  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sachin. Thanks. I have not used processing much. I think it is great for experimentation and especially artistic expression. I am more concentrated on the "boring" automation - how to generate architectural elements, nuts and bolts and welding seams...reinforcement and shop drawings....so I use more precise tools and methods.

    I just discovered your channel and I have been trying to find a way to automate my workflow through BIM software but it is never enough. I think this is exactly what I am looking for. But I still have some questions:
    - I cannot see any Python course on your teachable page. I know there are a handful online, but I want to understand the architectural workflow without having to learn a new language, is that even possible?
    - I intend to have blender3D as my base tool, it has enough plugins, and it is based on python too, not to mention the game engine, the node editor, parametric modeling. So do you think it is a long learning curve from here to there?

    The programs you mention are quite expensive. What do you think of free Blender combined with Python? Is it a good start to programming architecture? If so what would be the next step? Thanks so much for you content. It gives me the third wing :)

    Folks - do not consider using C++ first. It has no place in a vid with 'start programming' in the description.

    I knew you would say C++ but then thought you wouldn't, but then you did. Does .NET allow Haskell? I know a guy who wrote a 3D renderer that is still used in Hollywood and he has a Haskell version he wrote 10 years later that is factors of ten faster, real time rendering compared with on-line render queues. But he can't be bothered commercialising, he gets paid enough by a big financial house so doesn't need the money.
