Thanks for the reply. With Business Objects 4 there are many ways to configure the security model. In my example, I wanted to explicitly deny access to certain functionality - so that is why I selected Denied.

I have created a new user, which by default had no rights to access any folders of the system. I added him as principal to a folder with View access level. This folder, however, was not displayed on the user's InfoView workspace, and neither did the Public Folders. However, giving him access to the Public Folders also means giving him access to all the folders in the system, which is not what I want. Is there any way to display his allowed folder without granting him access to Public Folders?
