- This is the one! This is the truck we wanted to get our hands on when Team Corally first released their line of basher RC vehicles, the Kronos Monster Truck or Monster Truggy as we like to call it. The Kronos V2 has made it’s way to the RC Driver workshop and we were super excited to take this truck out for a rip. But first, we tore the truck down and go over it in one of our detailed unboxings and overview. Then we take it out for some intense driving in our dirt test lot and local BMX track. The Kronos is an insane off-road truck on 6S but the question is, can it hold up? Or is it a better 4S truck as a basher and the 6S power should be left for tame surfaces? For those that don't know the V2 now have the new motor mount and diff support utilizing a 52t spur instead of 46t as on the v1

Nice updates here! The colour scheme is far more eye catching and better on all cars this time round so far 👍👍 I love the F/R chassis skids with the countersunk washers too, this will help prevent the screws from pulling through the bumper which is a very common problem across a lot of basher cars. A very worthy competitor to the Kraton 🇩🇪 vs. 🇬🇧 🤜🤛

I just got my brand new kronos on Wednesday and I absolutely love it. I have had an arrma kraton BLX 6s and I love the kronos so much more but that is just my own opinion. I love it! It looks so good and strong.
I'm really liking the team corally rcs the bashers there coming out with! All there rigs do resemble arrma I noticed. But I'm a big arrma fan so I'm sure I will love these rcs. Thanks for the video😊
I own a V1 Kraton aka THE KACK and I haven’t had any crazy problems most people have had. I’m all for new stuff it makes the other guys step up or move over. These is a very well built rig they just need more US part support. Remember this is how Arrma started. Made Traxxas get there stuff together and they still don’t have a true answer for the Kraton. Corally is knocking at the door!
Parts in the US are distributed by HRP that have a well filled stock. And I agree, the more competition the better product for the end consumer.
Gotta hand it to this show. Great honest not biased reviews. Very hard these days to find a channel like this one. Keep up the great work you truly are what the RC world needs. Honesty is everything.
Thank you. Many people don’t think I’m honest because I don’t slam products. What I do is identify areas of concern and give alerts or fixes. There will always be people interested in products good or bad so I feel it’s best to offer help so people can be successful with it.

I have the Radix 4 and I’m now after a Basher. There trucks are very reliable and well made. Far better than stuff Horizon are producing. They work as they should without having to spend a fortune on upgrades. 10 pack through my Radix so far and many crashes. Zero issues! 😃
Thanks Greg I’m really thinking to buy this. I had a V1 Kronos but sold it a bit ago. My local hobby shop has this new V2 for $100 🇨🇦 cheaper then any other place I’ve seen it and you can buy it in 4 payments no interest pretty cool option. Looks like it’s greatly improved from the first truck and I’d do a few of the 7075 upgrades. CoRally makes some nice aftermarket parts. I had the 7075 braces on the first truck and it was awsome. A note on the 6S packs. If your willing to spend just a little more, SMC new graphene extreme packs are hard cased, very light weight and small dimensioned 6S 5200 mah pack. They are impressive!

To all the people saying this is a Kraton, I don't see where the resemblance beside the chassis if you take off the body cover but all RC's have that identical look.
This Kronos in my opinion is probably better then the Kraton and much more affordable too. I've been binge watching vids on this Kronos now and it is very impressive. There is this channel of these German RC guys who actually races this Kronos vs Kratons on several race track courses. And the Kratons were beaten so bad, they should've had them riding with a white flag. Both Kronos V1 and this Kronos V2 beat both Kratons on 6S, convincingly. From what i've seen on this Kronos, it is definitely faster, even much faster when you do an upgrade, it is a Demon. it runs smoother on high speed and the handling so much better when turning corners. Overall, I can't see what not to like about this car. I had my sight set on the Talion but this is for me. By the Way, check out the Shogun V2, would wipe the floor clean with the Talion.

yea looks identical-not! This argument was done to death last video from corally. There are only so many shapes you can make a buggy or any RC. If the shape is based on real world vehicles (F150, 1950,s ford pickup, monster truck etc ) then they are going to look similar. 4 wheels one at each corner, a wing, a motor and batteries. Get over it and enjoy having a choice!

This truck is a beast. It is so fast on 6S that I usually run it on 4S. I did jump off a T-Bone ramp as Greg said in the video I also bent the center dog bone. More of a speed rig. It's fun to rip it around but any bad landing will probably end with something broken IMO. Great driving and wish I had a spot like that.
I'd love to see how you'd go about upgrading the chassis to handle the extra abuse.
It needs to balance 🧐weight, to stop flipping out through the dirt, but the bottom, it needs aluminum chassis to balance straight, but to avoid crashes and high speed roll overs, nice testing.👍🤨🤔🧙🎶🎸🎶🎸🤯

I'm using 4s no jumps but did flip and my rear drive shaft has a slight bend but nothing to bad but I dont regret the purchase at all

Sorry if I missed it what weight of oil did you put in the car to make it run better on the track? Like most people I'm trying to decide between a light basher nothing crazy and of course I'm looking at this arrma
It reminds me of a much better version of the ERevo 2.0!! Those rod ends in that car were awful, but this has such a better setup w the new arms!

did you experience any thermal shutdown. I know for a fact that the v1 had issues with overheating prematurely due to the stock gearing it came with? Please let me know as im highly interested on purchasing one
What would be the main reason to take a V2 over the V1 given I could pick up a V1 for a £100 less ?
Lucky Arrma won't sue like Traxxas would if it looked just like an Erevo instead of a Kraton.
At least the center diff won't melt like it did in the v1.

Really wish more 5s packs were out. This thing would probably be perfect on 5s. 4s leaves you wanting, 6s is barely controllable.
It looks Erevo-ish, and eventhough I own the Erevo 2.0 this still peaks my interest.
Saw a video where they raced a Revo vs this Kronos and the Kronos left the Revo eating dirt and coughing out blood, convincingly. Get this, the Kronos was running on a 4s while the Revo had 6s.
Everything is great on this truck and the new dementor except Team Corally needs to put longer battery straps on these trucks. True story
Just picked one up for 399. I hear they aren't reliable but I really wanted something besides and Arrma or Traxxas or TLR. Next will be HPI Flux. But first I gotta get my Kronos XP v2 working. OOTB it's not running.

AND The unbranded DBoots Baaaackflips. hehehe i want one. This probably tougher than the KRATON EXB roller edition. I'd almost bet on it though in my little circle we say "that wasn't 6S ready" ha

Yup, V2’s are actually a good sign. Shows staying power for the brand and line. It also shows they are improving quality and listening to customers.

Companies that listen to customers is always a good thing and worth supporting. It is kinda what pushed me towards getting an Arrma and Tekno. Might have to add Corally to the line up.

Since it has issues running on 6s out of the box, the Arrma Kraton is a much better option. For the same price it is more durable and at least comes with a wheelie bar, which this thing needs.

Didn t know the kraton come standard with wheelie bar, it is optional. Also for the kronos there is a wheelie bar available

Really cool to have more choices. But all videos I see on Corally they bend dogbones, strip screws or something basic. If you're gonna "copy" just do the same or go beefier, why make it weaker?
All depend what happened and how, but the bended drive shaft is from a very hard hit where the chassis flexed to much. But i am sure this happens with all cars on the market, when the forces are to big something must go. We improve the cars, but then the drivers go the extra mile, the unbreakable car is unachievable when you always stretch to the next limits

@@stefanengelen128 I don't know the dimension or what quality steel the driveshafts are made of. Same with the chassis, what thickness and which alloy. But if they're the right dimensions and quality, then my guess is the chassi braces, why not have a solid piece in front? And in the rear, it has to flex when there is 2 small at a very steep angle and one long with that slack angle?🤷🏻♂️
@@Mxoderberg I'd rather have my driveshaft bend & replace just that, than have a steel one that doesn't bend but it destroys everything on both ends of it...a bendable driveshaft in a way saves lots of time & money imo.

While I'm no expert, it seems to me that people are getting tired of the noise they make. Don't get me wrong, they still have their place, just not like they use to.

@@Blueknight1960 In the end it's a matter of taste, the "noise" Is part of the magic of combustion what happens in the engine. I think that now they only like It fast, turn it un start. It's simply another option. A MATTER OF TASTE.

You can' still drive like that on 6s at the track it just takes a little finesse with the throttle finger.

Corally durability issues? what really has change? and no chamber adjustment? like some company's they add something and at the same time take some feature away to save on cost, Corally have still a way to go as there line up is too much like Arrma's without the hug after market upgrades that Arrma has, at the same time Horizon are pushing up the price of the Arrma's 6s to £600? and can now sell my old outcast and buy a Tekno MT410 lol, RTR vehicles that are almost cost as much as a premium race kite that you need no upgrades for lol. owed over 75 RC cars, brands I have at the moment, Losi , Kyosho, Arrma , Team Durango and Tekno . the Kronos is 6s? its on the BOX lol, so why you anyone run it on 4s? you were being very gentle on this truck and you didn't send it?

Corally a copy, sure you have it so wrong. Please have a look at a 2011 (arrma did not make their 1/8 yet) MUGEN MBX6T ECO and you know from where your ARRMA is being blueprinted from, parts are even interchangeable. Everything is the same, arms, diff setup, gearing, all...
@@stefanengelen128 good to know , I heard some of parts are interchangeable with mugen , like the gears , i knew arrma used alot design from racing truggys , didnt know match a mugen so closely.
