I was listening and singing along with Freddie in the 50s, while listening to our Transatlantic radio (we lived two miles outside of Old Valdez, Alaska...no phones...no TV...great radio reception). Freddie was born in 1991, just a couple of months before my 11/29/1949 birthday. When he passed away on your birthday in 1991, I was still 41, but turned 42 just five days later. My little "folk band" and I had been playing and singing Freddie's music, from 1965 through 1971.

I don’t know to be honest. But I quite enjoyed making this one :p. First time I’ve actually used a tool to separate his vocals from the instruments so i could align and cut everything without making it sound choppy :)

I don't think Dan Vasc and Tommy Johannsen are comparable. My opinion: Dan has a lot more creativity and variability with his whole performance and for sure a bigger range of his voice, than Tommy Johannsen has. Because Dan doesn't only sing songs, he feels them and he includes much more than only his voice in every song he performs. It is always more, than "just a cover" what Dan does.

I can see you're a fan of Dan's,but the difference between the two artists is that Tommy is just enjoying himself,having fun,while Dan is striving more to be a major vocalist. Tommy has quite a large fanbase already,from his time with Sabaton.

Not only Dan does this, but he even adds it to the songs he covers and his own. Freddie, Eric Adams (Manowar), Alea (Saltatio Mortis), Steve Perry, Peter Maffay and many others also did/do it, but I can't find IT in Tommy Johannsens performance and in several songs I don't like his voice, because it seems not to be natural as from many other artists. Just my opinion.
