Hooker/Poirier was the first event I watched live. I had been watching fights for 5-6 years, just always found them or the highlights the next morning. But I had ESPN+ and wanted to see it. What a first fight to watch live. I feel like it got overshadowed that year but it was one of the best.
They took years off each others life. Hooker vs Porier and Hooker vs Barboza are honestly hard to watch because you know Dan took LASTING damage in those fights.
Stephan Bonnar vs. Forest Griffin was the most important fight back in 2005. TUF is getting up there in popularity, and those two fought their asses off to make it big.

Making awkward, futile efforts to contort his body away from these techniques any way he could as MMA evolved before his very eyes. Chandler could've beaten Gaethje if he didn't try and showboat/play to the crowd so much. He had Gaethje rocked pretty badly in the first.
No he couldn’t by the time he was showboating he was already gassed especially in the 3rd and in the 1st he had his chance and gaethje survived then knocked him down in the 2nd

It's tantamount to the way the other apes reacted when the one ape learned to use a bone as a weapon in 2001 a Space Odyssey, as Napoleon Blownapart beautifully pointed out first. This fight wasn't competitive, but that only adds to how significant it really was imo
