Easy peezy crispy bacon - cover a large cooking pan in foil - like a cookie pan with 1/4 inch sides. Put oven on 400-425. Lay out bacon on pan. Cook for 10-20 minutes - keep eye on it it varies from oven to oven but no mess and nice crispy bacon. Google bacon in oven! 🙂
That’s how we do bacon too!
I do mine on a pampered chef stone bar pan in the oven so good
That’s how I get crispy bacon!🥓🐖
Wow, lots of great treasures you have found. 😊
My new favorite way to make bacon
I like you shopping alone
Our mom would give us the tiny Tupperware bowls on a keychain to use for our Barbie dolls kitchen! Memories 😊
Aw that's the cutest thing. Did you have a kitchen with cabinets for them?
We used to get them, and now I'm aging myself. And keep dimes in them for emergency phone calls and well... lady thing's.
crazy...those were give aways at the parties! @@blueskymoments
Mosaic fruit is gorgeous. You could have sold it in your shop!!
Those In-N-Out lights were an exclusive Christmas gift for all associates from Lynsi(the owner of the company)a few years back. They were never sold at the company store 😉
Sooo glad this is a recorded Swap Meet video. I am not wild about the live ones and must confess I never watch them. I LOVE your recorded ones❤
Same
Don't like the live ones
I try to have something for everyone! Thank you for watching this version :-)
Being a re-seller and a collector, I love both the recorded and the live ones. The live ones have a lot more energy. They make me wish I was there shopping. We don't have swap meets where I live in N. Y.
The lion lamp is cool. Reminds me of years ago when I was about 10 or something, we were in Vegas and at the original MGM hotel/casino you could take your picture with the MGM lion up close. I was so nervous and scared at the same time. Lol Fun memories!
That clasp on that rice pearl necklace is vintage any tme you see it real goodbet it's old. Neclace is probably 14K over SS.
Oh I love those glass fish!!
Noah, bacon is best baked in the oven. Try it you will like it , no mess to clean up. Place your bacon in a cold oven and then turn the heat on, it renders out the fat cooking this way. 350* for about 15 -20 minutes for the thick sliced bacon.
Make sure to cook on a sheet pan with a 1 inch lip so oil doesn't drip in oven.
I have been selling vintage costume jewelry for over 20 years on eBay (2nd-time-around-jewelry). I wouldn't use an ultrasonic cleaner for most jewelry. It is okay for real gold, diamonds & certain hard gemstones. But very bad for many other stones such as opals, pearls etc. And it would ruin costume jewelry. I use a soft toothbrush & dish soap to clean a lot of my costume jewelry. But never soak crystals that are prong set with gold or silver backing as it will all come off. And I dry my items with paper towels right away.
What a great job you did! Trusting uour gut and voing out there on your own the second time. I am so proud of you sweetheart. I love so much in this hall. I have a lot of jewelry I know nothing about. I have several sets of the old rhinestones you bought tonight. And then i have a necklace and bracelet it's kind of like crystal or something and it's very stiff and sharp.I dont know how anyone could wear it. But it sure is pretty. I love you all❤ Stay safe and healthy. ❤️😘💞💞💞💞💞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏✌️👶
Yes the sonic jewelry cleaners work really well! Clasp on the freshwater pearl necklace is silver electroplated w/gold.
Wow love them leaf plates
Amazing haul! My favorite is the neat carved vase and Hall teapot. Boujie, is scared of grass hopper. Bless Boujie's heart but, love the way he expresses himself. Fresh water pearls are gorgeous. Boujie loves you. ❤🎉❤
That Hall’s teapot is gorgeous
Well done Danni, you got some very good items at the swap meet. Really enjoyable watching you discover and explain more about items. ❤😊
You'll have to get Rachel and Noah working on the laundry pile during the day. Pretty soon it will be down to manageble again.
Noah’s already doing all the cooking so…as Bougie would say, “RAYchel”! 🦜
Went to the American Cancer Society thrift store today n hit the mother load of jewelry….$225 later I’ve got my work cut out for me getting them ready to resell. I was like a kid in a candy store!
What was your favorite thing you picked up?
I remember those Tupperware key chains, I used to have a couple of them, how fun.
I like cooking bacon on cookie sheet in oven.
I am REALLY enjoying the “in video” research/comp results.
Unmanaged a bookstore for 30 years, you have to scan the barcode on the book or if there's no barcode you have to type in the ISBN number and look it up that way because each edition has its own unique ISBN and they may reissue in the same cover and it might not be as worse as much also make sure that you open the book and make sure that the book is the same as the cover, people do switch them. Google lens might get you in the ballpark but it's certainly not going to be reliable source of a value of a book😊
It can show you pretty quickly the difference between a $1 book and a $100 book that requires the further research then!
The blue teapot and fresh water pearls are beautiful! Such good finds. You’re right about not keeping up with something a person is hesitant about…like going there alone. When time passes we kind of get leery about it again!
Budgie being scared of that grasshopper! That’s ok it is rather large.
I’ll bet you’re happy you went and you and Budgie can show us all what you found!
I’m learning a great deal and bundling to bring the cost down. Thanks for the video again!🙏❤️🦗🦗🦗🦗😀There Budgie that’s more like a grasshopper should look like!😂🎉
I like that orange necklace and bundling that with something else is a good idea! RACHEL! She’ll come later Budgie!!😂
That Hall teapot was gorgeous!
I am sooooo glad you bought that fabulous vase
I LOVED the amethyst looking bowl. That was gorgeous!!
Ultrasonic are wonderful, but remember if your jewelry is strung on bead cord, getting it wet may stretch and cause gaps, making beads slide back and forth causing cord to fray.
Sterling silver jewelry is super easy to clean -----> put shiny side of aluminum foil in a small Rubbermaid/Tupperware container sprinkle liberal amt of baking soda on foil boil h20 pour about 2in of boiling h20 over baking soda mix add sterling jewelry now add vinegar and and sprinkle in sea salt let soak ×20min then remove use like a huge mircofiber cloth to clean tarnish (wipe off) off jewelry lay out to dry any tough area scrub with mix left in h20 should remove anything
You need to show videos on what you sold some of your things for that would be fun
Tough to produce and edit those - working on it though!
Great swap market, I wish we had that here
I have my mother’s rhinestone jewelry. I absolutely love it. What a score! 💎 Yes, I would like to know more about the value of the items.
Hola Danni ~Oh my the red sandals with the gold toe 💓,Mosaic fruit, Rhinestone SCORE !, that glass pumpkin was very pretty and the Tequila horses are cool and yes the wording just makes them even cooler. donut basket, sandwhich slice would have went in my pile . but i understand your not getting themthe veggie rope was fun but the Amethyst piece was Outstanding absolutely gorgeous ! i loved how the lil M&M guys where kinda sheilding themselves from the sun lol well that's what it looked like. Ooh the Hall teapot and the blur cookware was very nice . there was so much to see at the Swap meet i soooo wished i lived in Vegas. just because of your videos . God Bless Dear
Denture tabs, baking soda and a soft baby's tooth brush.😊 ❤
You can use the homemade cleaners, around your animals.
NH here you can cook bacon in the oven...350 for 20 minutes. Less mss
Put a cricket on you home Hearth and it is to bring good luck!
Everything is so pretty I wouldn’t know which to pick.
Those necklace rhinestones are from the 40s and 50s. Very nice. Good quality love watching all your videos.
I love the conch shell by the glass fish!
Just wouldn't go at night by yourself! Glad you went back to the Swap Meet. I love your videos with all the knowledge you have.
Great video. Love seeing you get a nice surprise after researching. ❤ JoAnn
Hello Danni use a baking soda with a little water and rub with your fingers perfect for all jewelry won't damage I'm a jewelry reseller and use it all the time then rinse and dry harsh silver cleaners strip a layer off every time you clean them
It works for your costume jewelry too?
@blueskymoments I use it on all jewelry it's awesome on our hands as well bluesky
Loved the donut basket and the fruit and also that huge bowl/vase? Wow! I've always used white vinegar and baking soda and just dip the jewelry in it. Used to clean my wedding rings and they sparkled like new after dipping.
It doesn't damage anything? What about costume jewelry??
@@blueskymoments I wouldn't do costume that way
@beetique thanks for letting me know :) looking for advice!!
Love the flea market videos, thanks for taking us along!💜💗❤️💚💖
Rhinestone haul yes!
Well the internet answer is..Avoid washing and cleaning jewelry that include tanzanite, emeralds, opals, cameos, silver or gold inlay, pearls, silver or gold filigree, and turquoise. Also, don’t use an ultrasonic cleaning machine to wash jewelry that contains coral, amber and other soft stones, antique jewelry, and foiled back stones.
Also it will not remove tarnish on metals..but there is more worth additional looking up on line also.
But I have one and works well on everything else. BUT my favorite product is what I call the purple magic ..or sometimes I seen it pink (don't know the official name because it's reusable and a bottle of it last years) Its found at the Indoor swapmeet in vegas, there use to be a guy right up front offer to clean your rings to show you the product. Or have seen it sold at the kiosk booths at Paris or Venetian😅n😊
Cleaning jewelry is difficult. Sonic cleaners for chains great. Never use on vintage stones.
Yes, to the rhinestone video
There are jewelry cleaning wipes, I use lime for sterling 🥰
Yes I would attend a class for the rhinestones....
Love that cricket! ❤
The sonic cleaners are for Real jewelry
Costume it make make fake metal go black or lose color! We just used mild soap and water with a tooth brush
I loved the sweets basket, the cake. Ohh my my the mosaic fruit! However I would never have room for it, but it does bring me joy! I clean my jewelry with non abrasive toothpaste, no fancy brands, and warm water. I rub the toothpaste in gently using a soft old toothbrush if lots of detail or my fingers. Then rinse it clean. Comes out sparkling and gorgeous. Of course I only own costume, sterling silver and my class rings.
You use toothpaste for costume? I struggle to clean the pieces I have :( all these posts are great advice
@@blueskymoments just make sure the toothpaste is just plain no sparkles, chunks, stripes... just fact you could make a paste with baking soda and water but I use dollar store toothpaste. It also republished and cleans headlights. Apply the paste thickly. Scrub with a damp sponge then rinse clean. It's like getting new headlights!
Does anyone have advice for cleaning capidimonte? I got a piece of my mother in law’s, it has some darkening on the edges of flower petals(they had coal heat), I’m afraid to do anything too abrasive knowing how fragile it is.
@@PeggyMiesko-xd5dx The general recommendation seems to be to use a soft toothbrush or a soft sponge dipped in mild soapy water to clean these, then rinse and allow to dry for an extended period.
Yes l would attend a members only session let me know when.
I have a iron skillet in the oven, i cut Bacon into pieces with kitchen scissors and bake bacon in my skillet, stirring it every so often.
Hi Dannias usual you're keeping it fun & interesting! 💙 💙 💙 Bougie love.
What a great haul, I do Love the tiny Tupperware bowl keychain…
I love amber glass!
I understand what you are going through you aren't alone .Glad to see you fighting your fear
Yes pricing the rhinestones on a video. That would be great. 😊
The Cricket is awesome
That was a fun one too!!❤️😊
Freshwater pearl necklace with the class if it’s sterling silver it means it has a plating
Ohhhh that mgm lion is before they moved I think, when they were in old building.
Omg those little Tupperware were for pot so I thought haaaa
Suggestion. Put a camera or go pro on. Start filming 1st thing when you get up. Somehow pick a day or contrive one with multiple thrifting throughout day. Just let it run. Then give to Noah let him edit it into as many vídeos that he can. Like a day in the life of the Niche lady. Then when you need a video run a section of it. People would love to go through your day. Just make it a filled picking day. You can even film yourself filming a video or at the live at swap meet. It might help take pressure off and Noah would love the challenge.
I really like your big dog Cora is beautiful.
Awesome finds Dani. Noah i use to use my cast iron pan for cooking bacon now i do it in the oven on a bar pan from pampered chef it turns out so goo 400 degree oven for 12 -15 min or fepending on your oven. 🇨🇦😀
I'm a big fan of the bundle. I'm glad you got the in and out lights and the MGM lion.. i love that quirky stuff and it makes your space look so good. Score!! with all the rhinestones you were looking at ! love all the Disney pins too!
Do you ever see Royal family books or mugs and memorabilia ? And how about lots of big real. Good condition shells???
No more plush Danni!
I want that white hand in the booth you are talking about crispy bacon.
The sonic cleaner will make stones come out.
Sonic cleaners can split stones. I use a light mixture of baby shampoo and water and use a soft cloth to clean. Dry with a light hair drying.
8:28 Yes, I feel like Pioneer Women is similar to Temptations.
Love seeing your videos ❤
I just bought one of those ultrasonic machines but haven’t used it yet, but I‘ve been told that they work really well
The second book you scanned by Ann McCaffery is one of my fave fantasy writers. Love all her books.
Bluejay is awesome and the wood vase! Another amazing haul! ❤
Omg I literally just held the Giraffe version of your Zebra 🦓 on a ball today at the local Humane Society Thrift store 🦒
Great finds...
Another fun video 😊
I am always looking for nightmare before chrtmas stuff I collect anything Tim burton
Now all you need is a magnifying glass to see what you can't read. But you're on the right track lol
I would have picked up the cricket, too!
I have not seen one of those key chains in years
I think that wooden vase might be a brush pot. A holder for calligraphy brushes that is.
You had a great haul there. Lovely stuff. Love everything blue. Lol. The zebra cracks me up. So cute. 😊
swap meet are good for you Danni you find a lot of goodies I enjoy your videos
Yes I would watch it and enjoy the process
I liked the tea pot. Looked like a cast iron.
Hummm ?
I have the same Tupperware little keychain bowl
Yes, would love to attend
I sold a Devilbiss set recently and learned some interesting facts when researching. Devilbiss was a Dr who invented the atomizer in 1888 as a way to get medication to your throat. His son joined the company in 1905 and by 1907 had started using them for perfume bottles. They purchased glass bottles from all the major glass makers around the world including Murano, Bohemian, Czech, fenton, Cambridge, Tiffin etc. The company closed their doors in 1968. The person who bought my set had the DeVilbiss last name but they never responded when I asked if they were related.
Are you missing Will right now? “Like a rhinestone necklace” 😂😂
And now I walk up to an item that looks interesting and I say, “who made you?”😅. But my main thing is Marshall (Texas) pottery
That cricket is the bomb🥰
I also use dove liquid soap withdrawal soft toothbrush then rinse and dry
The pumpkin is great. If you have too many take out the simpler ones from the collection.
The pearls are called seed pearls.
