My girlfriend recommended this to me today. We've been in in a LDR for almost 4 years. She lost her mom because of cancer when she was 18, and I've never seen her so broken. Back then, Tita would always tell me how she was so proud of my li'l girl, and I promised her that I'd always take care of her daughter. I never got to say goodbye. Though I still kept that small promise with her alive.

Been listening to this for quite a while now and I really appreciate how it talks about the acceptance stage, where you still love them but not as the same way before, you still love them but you dont want/force them to be in your life anymore. I believe this is the less talked about phase, the stage after the "I can't live without you" and start of a new beginning where you can finally say that after all "hey, im still alive" so for me this song really brings hope and healing!! so if you're in that situation, this may take time but know that you'll survive.
