@@ani4x4 Having watched your video, we recognized most equipment. Thank you. Auger bit diameter & length (0.5" × 4" ?). Who makes such tools today? Simple. Curved carving knife? Some items are still mystery. Canteen? What is container with eggs used for? You chose each item based on experience. What is floor mat ? What cloth is cooking utensil covers? What cloth is tent? American Civil War re-enactors use cotton cloth tent design you might appreciate, for one man (& dog). Small, light, simple design. You could make one.
@@charlesmichaels6648 Auger is that one, exactly. I got it some years ago but have to link you because I don`t remember where from. Canteen I use the 64oz Stainless Steel Klean Kanteen and the 27oz classic. I usually carry the eggs in the upper compartment of the Zebra pot. Cover for cooking set are made from very old trousers, cotton, just to have them protected and more silent when packed. Tent: is is not a proper tent but a canvas tarp from the soviet age called Plash Palatka, used by the Red Army, cotton, and very tough and cheap. I will investigate about American Civil War era tents :) Thanks a lot
@@ani4x4 Plash Palatka (cloak tent) is like "poncho." Poncho with liner is light, durable, & very warm, even when wet (emergency shelter). Best tent we met is "domed 2 man hiking tent, (with floor & top rain cover/porch, rear window, front door with screen for air. We used it in winter. Light, inexpensive, & simple design, using 2 fiberglass rod assembly, crossing at top of tent. Nylon. Sleeping bag needed. Advantage: Bugs out. Your system is best for your situation, using campfire for heat, & bug deterrent. But how do you deal with crawling critters creeping at night, eg ticks, etc. Caribbean homes use soapy water with turpentine (1 oz/5gal) applied to floor daily. Burning orange peel releases citronella to chase flying bugs......

Ani, I like your content & the videos are planned out well. I also like that you don't use language, so more people can enjoy your content. I was able to identify all but the small pieces & some vegetables. It would help if you zoom in on smaller things & maybe add in some international symbols to communicate what something is. Also, for those of us that research items in your videos, maybe add a picture of the original packaging or a picture of the plants that you use. Those would be helpful! A very good example of how actions speak louder than words. Thank you for the thorough show-no-tell! This was great! All one continuous shot but you had good light, and framed it in a way that was close enough to see the individual pieces, but wide enough to see your system in its entirety. The little gestures like smelling the contents of a tin, or working a component of your kit showed what it was and its features without being redundant or repetitive. Moonshinedave Some back packs have compartments for specific items. While convenient, obsolescence looms ahead. Changes in equipment, sizes, cost & availability alter resourcing. Simple bag holds more too, but weight? Vest, & cargo pockets provide quick access to key items......
It's like watching a magic show where the magician just keeps pulling thing out of his hat! Crazy how well you've managed to pack so many useful items so efficiently. I bet many of us men could learn some things from you after watching this. By the way your dog looks to be the perfect companion too.
Wow you know what your doing. Every little space used. I like the way you care for the bag of tools as well. Sharp no rust. One question do you just use a woolly blanket and a canvas tarp with natural insulation underneath like grass or leaves. And dies the wool keep you warm in the autumn and winter. In summer meat is difficult but for short periods of time there is no need of canned or prepared food. And cooking over the fire is always so nices

You seem to have great skills in Camp craft. Enjoyed your videos and thanks for sharing your beautiful experiences in the wilderness. I love camping and the things that you are doing. You are very lucky to have the time, space to be with mother Nature.
