I think there is something in the Copic ink that breaks down the paper (causing the speckling), whereas I hardly see it with W&N and other markers on other papers. Glad it wasn’t just me going crazy lol! Thanks for the review. Stay safe. 💜💛💙
It’s from the paper absorbing the ink unevenly if that make sense so it’s from the marker and paper but yea I mostly have issues with my copics and ohuhu markers. Hope this helps owo
Sadly Copics are very VERY particular to the paper used with them. It’s why even though they are very high quality I just do not enjoy using Copic outside of use for skin tones.
I heard a lot of great things about Winsor and Newton's alcohol markers. Your illustration was amazing! The blending on those markers look incredible! Amazing work, Lela! 👍❤️
YAYYYY! So glad you finally got the chance to try the Promarkers! Very happy that you liked them, and you are totally right, these markers have amazing coverage with very little speckling, which is the main reason why people (especially graphic artists) prefer them over Copics. They aren't refillable and have a smaller color range, but given how smoothly you can blend with them, you won't be wanting for a huge range with them anyway. I just hate how prohibitive their prices are, especially in North America. I am fortunate enough to live in a country where they are so much more affordable ($2-3 openstock!), but I can't say the same for other countries, and I wholly believe that is the sole reason they are not being talked about as much in the marker community. Which is a shame, because they are fantastic. Hope you can make more art with them, I think they are perfect for your style!
I have a pretty extensive copic collection, but my 1 W&N i keep for a specific skin tone (Dusky Pink, lol) has always impressed me w just how smooth the color deposit is. I'm really considering replacing all my existing markers w them, but the nib is also super flimsy for me.. I do quite enjoy the chisel tho!
Woah! You're doing your work that perfect, what is make me so satisfyed owo beautiful drawing markers! Thank you for showing them! I love watching the marker showing videos! (Sorry for bad English, my English is poor :c)
Hi are these markers permanent like the Prismacolor Premier markers? I need to draw on Claybord and paint a 50/50 mix of Golden Fluid acrylic and Golden Satin Glazing medium over the drawer Would it bleed do you think?
its so bright! the hair looks great 😀 if i could find them open stock i would give them a try edit: i can and they are cheaper than the ciaos so will have to get some next time i order markers
They changed? I have some that look way different. I wonder if this is why Hobby Lobby and Michael's stopped selling them. I did manage to get a bunch of them for less than dollars and some 10 dollar 6 packs though.
Good chance that they either: 1) weren’t selling well and are making room for a new product 2) was requested to clear all “old product” so only the new product is on the shelf. I worked for Michael’s and it usually boiled down to those two outside of things being discontinued (which these obviously are not)
@@samusai That's probably more likely. Unfortunately Michael's has chosen to sell the pricier Tombow alchohol markers open stock and the W & Ns are now packs only, and thats not even every Michael's in my area. Sucks, I really like them but now can't just grab another in store when one runs out 😭
Cool artwork 😍👏👏 I recently entered a giveaway (surprisingly in my country 😂) and it has these markers! The winner will be announced in 2 days ! Wish me good luck everyone! I really wish and hope to win 🙏🙏🙏

I think it might be a lot to do with the paper? Because so far I haven’t noticed any speckling but I’m not sure
I noticed that when you use thinner paper with copics.

I love my Winsor and Newton Promarkers... I get few streaks. They are very juicy. They last a long time too.
NO WAY IM EARLY!!?!?!!? I love your art so so so SO SO Much literally u don't even know
Lela I believe W&N Promarkers are exclusively watercolor markers. You didn’t mention it. Unless I missed it which is quite possible. Lol, thanks!🍷

I’m going to buy them, any recommendation to give??
I got mine at $144 and for 48 colors! They're so beautiful to use! just wait til it goes on sale haha
2 dollars per Ciao Copic marker ???
Damn in Germany they're like 5 euros.
Meanwhile it's the Winsor&Newton which are a lot more affordable.
I just looked up a 24 pack on Amazon and it was $3.90 each. I don’t where she saw them that cheap.
ACD art attack also notice the specul in the art with copic. Should see it in his video. It is weird
WHOAH GIRL
Yo the prisma color marker caps cut up my palms every time.
Drives me insane
