Blue line protection/ solidarity ,is the police primary unwritten rule.
Most potential whistle blowers I'd imagine , would easier quit than stand up and draw the retaliation.

I’m wondering if recruitment levels are low and this is why people who are not qualified to do the job get selected anyway. With all the focus on police it will send recruitment numbers even lower like it did in the U.S, which will mean even worse people.

I mean it seems strange that their would be so many bad officers and that they were not spotted earlier. Does anyone know the recruitment levels for the police force? Is it because they are having trouble recruiting?
This happened in America then they went off on demonising the police, which resulted in even lower recruitment levels. Who wants to be a policeman today?

The senior ranks by and large do very well in salary, lifestyle, and Pension from the job. You would think that there would be a group of them sufficiently perturbed by the way things have gone, to raise their concerns publicly. No one knows better than them that for evil to win, it just requires the good to look the other way. Policing has lost its good name, but like any venture that cheapens itself, you will get what you pay for.

Sweet Jesus, the public needs to be able to defend themselves! I'm honestly surprised wide spread vigilantism isn't on the rise because when law enforcement fails an crime runs rampant, vigilantism becomes the last resort.

The police force is letting themselves down. Never have we had a worse set of officers. We have never had a worse set of police bosses. We have to get back to the police of old, who we could trust.

Eventually, the British military will be needed to deal with the situation. Like in Egypt, military on each street corner.

Cleverley is clearly not interested in his Home Secretary job and definitely has one big eye on what lucrative private sector job he'll get when the Tories are kicked out in the GE. The businesses and corporations lobby the govenment for mass migration to surpress wages, then they're rewarded with CEO and Board member jobs when they leave/kicked out of politics. It a big merry-go-round at the expense of the electorate and Labour's no different: look at Reyner's or Thornburry's hypocracy on their council house

As a former financial advisor with a high client value company, my Father was REQUIRED to take and pass "competancy exams" EVERY.SINGLE.YEAR despite having been a FA for OVER FORTY YEARS and considered an expert in his field by other members of his peers. Why the police who have the power to remove the freedoms of a person based on just what they say, are allowed to go UNVETTED FOR THIER ENTIRE CAREERS after the initial training is beyond my understanding. Something is VERY VERY WRONG with how our society is structured. It was actually the exams that eventually made him take retirement at 72 as he was sick of jumping through the hoops for the small amount of business he was doing by then.

I love the way those two young women were screaming their message at the police line……absolute waste of time….just as the protest is pointless as even if the UK government changed its policy on a cease fire…the Israelis would not take a blind bit of notice of a foreign government least of all UK.

Someone called in , failed selection in a Scottish borders police force , but was told to apply to the MET , they take anyone
So years ago other police forces knew the MET was a joke !!!!!!
The MET has been the worst police force for over 20 years
