Dr Vijayant Govinda Gupta is telling the truth. A man cannot do "manly" things if his male ego is being constantly hurt by the women in his life. It could be his mother, sister, wife, niece, etc. who can do that. His desire to protect, provide, etc. just goes away. This happens at homes a lot because men are constantly told that they are not good enough at household tasks or at general tasks by women in their home. Then the men just go into zombie mode very quickly. It's a vicious cycle because the more men step back from being an active participant, the more the women of the household get angry.

ego is needed by everyone irrespective of genders to execute their duties properly male or female ...but there has to be maturity where one has to drop his or her ego in front of his or her partner .. because in the end they are supposed to be. a team helping one another out rather than coming in each other's ways ...else ego clash also leads to issues ... in the end intention matters ...a true relation is where each see a reflection of himself /herself in their partners rather than just be in a symbiotic relation where both are just using each other's help for their own agendas or goals
