I thought it was funny when a local promotion wanted to charge $20 & I told them i was a full sail grad who never paid more than $15 for a WWE NXT show. They're response was priceless. "We're better than WWE". My response: "Sir, I've seen your shows on youtube, they're not even in the same league." I had a good laugh. You're so spot on. If you wouldn't pay $20 for your shows, why would you expect anyone else to?

Best advice I can offer you is to find a LEGIT wrestling school and get trained first! Regardless if you plan to actually wrestle or not, trust me there's is ALOT that you don't know that you don't know. No that wasn't a typo .. or meant to be an insult. Just some friendly advice to hopefully get you on the right track and save you ALOT of headaches, heartaches, struggles and problems in the long run.I have over 30 years experience doing literally everything in the business at one point or another. Great info. Curious to know how much do you pay talent for 1 appearance? Lets say I booked a former wwe talent, how do u go about paying them vs a newer indy talent?
i don’t have the answer for you but i do know somewhere you can look. check out /r/WredditSchool on reddit. they have lots of info you can peruse and i’m sure someone has asked that same question there in the past.
how does compensation work with your talent? are your events like one offs or do you run like a "league", if you have championship belts I imagine it's the latter?

House of Truth is in Michigan. Dan Severn also has a school in Michigan. Not sure about inside of Ohio though.
