*Can we get 99 LIKES ON THIS VIDEO??*
This is something more than handwriting. Calligraphy or penmanship, it's very beautiful.
I don't really know. But I look for definitions in some dictionaries . Handwriting, for example is defined as "writing with a pen or pencil" or "writing done by hand", while calligraphy is defined as "the art of producing beautiful writing" or "decorative handwriting". What I see in the video is more related to the definition of calligraphy since he is clearly making an extra effort to make the script look beautiful and not just write.
Excellent! ballpoint pens don't suck that much. You convinced me :)
I love the debossed hand letterpress effect that this “grip of doom” style creates.
me: bought a nice dip pen but can't handle it well to control the thickness
this viedo: writes perfectly with a normal ballpoint pen
Great penmanship.
Glad you like it :)
Great !! We need more tutorial videos
The word calligraphy comes from the Greek kalligraphos. It means beautiful writing. So I would class this as Calligraphy.
Чтобы так писать, нужна бумага для акварели или промокательная бумага и ручка с широким шариком. Если Вы умеете писать пером с нажимом, то и ручкой у вас получится. Спасибо за видео!
Hand lettering. The letters are uniform, but he never lifts the pen from the paper. Calligraphy is hand lettering, but not all hand lettering is calligraphy.
What kind of paper is he using? I couldn't understand what you said. Thanks!
That was lovely. What kind of paper did you say you used? It also looks as if you use a fairly soft cushion underneath the paper. What is it?
How to write like that!??? Super cool !
This is indeed calligraphy.. There is line variation on his upstrokes and downstrokes.
*It may not technically be calligraphy but it is beautiful and skillful. I actually follow him and immitate his style.*
*Good footage...huge thanks. Is it BIC ballpen?* 🤤
Bic Cristal 1.6mm
Amazing penmanship
this is not penmanship :D
Penmanship is defined in the Oxford Dictionary as 'The art or skill of writing by hand.' So you do have a point Artology Mohammad Moosa.
Always looking forward to your upload!
How can I improve my hand writing to be like you
In Germany we have what's called "Schönschrift". Schön = beautiful, Schrift = the font in regards of hand writing / the act of writing. This one is a prime example of Schönschrift, rather simple cursive handwriting, but written based on a high degree of aesthetics. It's Schönschrift - "beautiful writing".
Es ist einfach Kalligraphie, Kalligraphie bedeutet exakt die Kunst des schönen Schreibens.
BELLISSIMO 😘
Maybe I'm understanding wrong the title of the video... But the first video, it's Calligraphy, because it's donde in a single stroke, it's doesn't Matter uf you interrupt the stroke, in single words, write is calligraphy but beautifully
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😍
On writing a response to this, I think I realized the major difference between calligraphy and penmanship. While penmanship may be both beautiful and a form of writing (both the kallos and graphos of calligraphy), calligraphy proper involves a diversity of styles and nibs in order to function as a true calligrapher. Art is the function of calligraphy, whereas the function of penmanship is legibility.
I suppose Hand Lettering fits into this as an umbrella that houses calligraphy, but also opens the field to other media like markers and pencils and crayons, as well as bridging the gap of function between purely artful and purely legible (not to say that calligraphy and penmanship aim for the extremes of the spectrum.)
when you think about it its all hand writing unless its done by a machine i would have said cursive but thats just me :) love your face
Nope, not really! I had a long talk few weeks ago when I visit Paul in London, there will be a video soon about it :)
Cursive handwriting
Which type of pen do you had used in it....
If this is not calligraphy

Cursive Penmanship
It is like cursive writing
Cursive
this is cursive ?
penwork or even nibwork
oh! i is wrong again
i hope you have seen the cartoon drawing depicting the difference between calligraphy (white tie and tails) and handwriting (emerging scathed from a classroom scrap)
but i think you are demystifying so you're in so far as i'm concerned
Calligraphy is "beautiful writing." This person is making consistent efforts with specific techniques to make their writing look a certain way to great effect - it's beautiful writing. Aka calligraphy.
Well, of course it is handwriting... But it's also calligraphy?! Calligraphy means: the art of producing decorative handwriting... So thumbs down for this statement of yours
It looks like Spencerian handwriting to me 🙂
ты русский?
Okk
Why is this not calligraphy? The only thing different is the tool. If he were using a pointed pen there would be no argument. If it was a folded pen or a broad nib it would be the same thing. I say it's not the tool, it's the style, the intent, that matters. Write on!
It strikes me as similar to how Scorsese said that movies he doesn't like "aren't cinema."
Hi! Calligraphy is composed of broken letters meaning you lift the pen you’re using every letter. Cursive is when it’s continuous 😬
@@babelnerves3360 Not to be argumentative, but with my cursive handwriting, I'm lifting every few letters. Being left handed may have something to do with that.
@@glennwiebe5128 no... this is wrong and as I said i will make a video soon explaining the difference
Es la mejor explicación amigo tome 😏🍺
I think it's cursive.
Why should this not be calligraphy?
