It's takes time but with practise you will eventually get it right
This looks easier than it actually is. The hair gets more tangles that way. And the hair slips when you try to braid it
I recently did this method on my daughter….I had the same issues 🥴 but it turned out nice!
Just get a crochete needle or bead stick……

To get a flatter/cleaner finish straighten your hair … and make your parts as straight/clean as possible. Do the brick method.
That didn't take long at all and my hair is almost that texture but thin and curly a little bit thick to but I agree with that hair style I love it so much go girl you good 👍❤ it takes patience for me though to do by myself self like 3 hours are so I believe right
