  • I enjoyed a fun round at Northlands Golf Course in North Vancouver, BC.
    The flat stick wasn't as reliable as usual - can the rest of my game step it up?

      Mike, I love this idea!
      For the first 28 years of my life, the only golf I played was pitch and putt (which I did quite frequently). I grew up close to a great one and there are several other awesome ones in Vancouver.
      I only took up big boy golf 3-4 years ago and it's probably easy to spot that the only part of my game I'm comfortable with is chipping/putting...it's all thanks to pitch and putt.
      I'll definitely make a pitch and putt video in the future! Thanks again for the suggestion - it hadn't occurred to me!

    Hey man, have been loving your videos! As a BC boy living in Ontario its nice to see you playing courses I used to frequent! Quick feedback, love the adjusted score tracker in the top corner, however having the numbers 1-6 displayed continually was a bit distracting, at first I thought it was the holes par but then realized quickly it was just a shot counter.
    Courses I'd love to see: Kings Links by the Sea, Morgan Creek, Fury Creek, if you'd be interested in making the trip to Chilliwack for a fun par 3 my cousin owns Cheam Mountain Golf Course and I could set something up for you!

    • @davekennedy8626

      Blaine, it varies at lot depending on the particular course and the time of year. In April, expect to pay $55 to $75. By summer you'll be in the $75 to $90 range for green fees. If you want a power cart you're looking at $35 to $40 most of the time. And, note that the three city courses in Vancouver do NOT sell a 1/2 cart. You pay for the full cart even if you are the only rider. Hope that helps. Oh, if playing Northlands bring an extra sleeve of balls. Just sayin'.

    im the opposite man, what helps me break 80 is my club distance and my chipping. my putting is bad lol

  • @skipzy9855
    @skipzy9855 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The reason you can’t ease up on your clubs is because your back swing doesn’t store any energy. You take the club around your body and all of that energy is lossed when you uncoil and force the club down towards the ball. Hence, even a smaller backswing will equate to the same shot in your case. Also you loose an immense amount of distance.
