I can understand, that some people are sad, because their producer didn't made it on top, but it's ok. There are many years following. Phuture Noize doesn't even deserve to be a part of the scene. His garbage diarrhea is slowly killing off hardstyle for good.
Honestly best comment in this section. I was thinking about that the entire time. There will always be underdogs for the enthusiasts, but perhaps cherishing them for what they are is what makes you an enthusiast, the willingness to dig deeper to find that extra spice.

The top is not bad, I think there are songs that came out very late and in any case did not give much time to vote en masse but I liked how it turned out in the end, remember that a top does not define which is the best because they are the fans of each artist those who vote in large numbers but okay. 👑❤
Transcendence in #15 is a crime, and at the same time, very understandable, being one of the last tracks of the year released by q-dance.

My thoughts about PN? He has a very unique style these days, espacially his lead.
Personally I don't like the style of his leads and maybe many other think like me. He is a very good artist, but votings like these always capture more of the "mainstream" artists and songs.

It's the same at festivals bro. Big djs only play their own and each others tracks. For example, have you ever heard Festuca - Pressure Waves? A 2015 track, fucking amazing imo, never ever played except for this one time Festuca himself was allowed to perform somewhere...I see/hear so many good tracks of unknown producers on TH-cam, but nobody spins these tracks.

No offense to DBSTF, but I think 4 tracks in the top 10 is kinda too much. I know it's based on the votes of the public, but this year were so many better tracks than those, like A Beautiful Fantasy, Time Machine, etc.
I respect the music they make and they are really good tracks, but 4 tracks out of the 10 makes me listen to a DBSTF set.
DBSTF got high quality tracks this year, i voted only tracks for them this year, so it´s all a matter of taste, i personaly don´t like the style of SZP, but that´s my opinion, other people love it, i don´t.

Imo, Dragonborn Part 3 won because of the history behind that song, not the sound structure.
If it was another Headhunterz song, Heady fans would make it a Top 5 track, but, only those who had someone important and never realized it after losing because of behaving like an idiot, can understand the passion and dedication Willem put in this one.
Having that said, for 2021 I hope he doesn't overuse that story just to get votes, then that would be very low.
On the other hand... man, *IF* there was someone with doubts that D-Block & S-te-Fan are the best hardstyle DJ's right now, doubts are gone, 4 tracks in the Top 10, 5 tracks in the top 20.
I'm a huge Heady fan.
But I don't know why I just can't stand D-Block and S-te-fan. When i shuffle through tracks I can hear which ones are from them since I really dislike them. But I can't figure out why 😂

This list went from a track popularity contest to an artist popularity contest. Never seen such a lack of diversity in the top 100 before. Hopefully it will be better again next year. Also small request for people to please vote for more different artists in their tops. I've seen so many votes with people just picking the full discography of their favourite artist instead of their actual favourite tracks.
Edit: also mind you there are zero (0, none) tracks in the full top 100 from non-established artists this year. Usually there are at least a handful talent tracks that make it in, but this year not even. Kinda sad to see that the tons of talents that emerged this year don't get any recognition in the top yet.

For me Phuture Noize is one of the best producers and also one of the most misunderstood, he is just ahead of his time.
Then you must not know a lot about hardstyle. Phuture Noize is the worst "Hardstyle" producer ever. If even his mixture of pop, rock and hippie diarrhea can even be considered Hardstyle. His music is dryer than a dune of sand in Sahara. No magic or imagination at all.

While I do enjoy the established staples that regularly impact the high reaches of the year-end chart like clockwork......................I still also live to see the day the likes of Horyzon, Udex, Voidax, Ecstatic and Devin Wild, to name a handful, are recognized on these year-end charts as well.
I totally get that established names are always going to have a sizable advantage by default, and there's no love lost toward any who have worked hard and continue to work hard enriching this community with the love of music. Here's hoping moving forward we'll see more diversity between established and less-established and/or up-and-coming names.
Thank you for bringing us music through the whole shitshow of 2020. Hope to see you all this year. Make 2021 festivals come back to life
