Don’t beat yourself up about it! I applied to 7 stores before I got an interview and it was for a store 35 min away from where I lived. Keep looking or try a local coffee shop! Might be more fun and less busy. Best of luck!

hey so i had a virtual interview on Monday this week and i honestly think it went really well and the manger said she’d give me a call back, how long should i wait for that call back ?
I would give it a week (maybe even 2 weeks honestly) before reaching out again. November 4th is the winter holiday launch and there is a lot happening hahaha …also with order delays, and everything it’s a lot. BUT I also don’t think it would hurt if you go in and see if you bump into her and just say hi 👋 don’t ask about the hiring process or anything, but just showing your face again could remind her and helps with a lasting impression! 😁👍
There are actually not a lot of different recipes to remember! It’s usually the same portions, just changing syrups or milks. But it does just take time and repetition. I think it helps to focus on either hot bar or cold bar first. Master the drinks for one then move on to the other and master those so it’s not all the drinks all at once. I mean after you make a Frappuccino 100 times in one day you will remember it, trust me haha

Talking with customers gets easier with time but it’s hard for everyone at the start, even people with a bunch of confidence! Like all things it just takes practice. As for the interviews start thinking about the questions I mentioned in the video and if you don’t have a good answer in the moment that’s ok too! Just smile and be friendly and throw whatever out there. Be yourself and I am sure you will get the job! You got this! 🥳

Wear business casual, nothing too formal. For worst experience you can talk about and issue with a group project at school or a conflict with a sport team you are in! At the end you should ask them how they started their career at Starbucks!

They asked what I know about the company, they dug deep into my school and employment history 😂 overall, interview went good. That interview was done by the store Manager, they're supposed to call me and let me know when to do the second interview, this one with the HR 😅 you probably wouldn't understand how getting the job there would change my life, due to what I'm going through right now
Today was my first ever interview in starbucks. Interview experience was quite good. I Don't have work authorization card. They said they hired me but for the authorization card they can't give me a official permission for work. When I get my work permit then let them know. And call them. After work authorization card they'll hire me and give me the permission. Now I Don't understand are they hired me or rejecting me???
i think they're intrested but if you arent legally alowd to work yet, get the authorization and then give them a call back to see if the position is still open for you
every video i watch about interviewing says they wont hire you if you're not outgoing and i have an interview tomorrow and i have terrible social skills ugh. the workforce is not accommodating to people like me at all lol

It’s pretty difficult to move up past shift supervisor because there can only be 1 store manager per store. So you would have to just wait for a manager to quit or get fired lol. I’m thinking this job is just temporary but I am really really enjoying it!

Pick a few times when you didn’t know how to do something and respond with I asked for help and I followed the instructions very clearly, I read lots of info on my “problems” if that makes sense? Definitely mention it! Business management skills are very important, especially in a shift supervisor roll. They would love to have someone with that experience on their team!

Hiring event is just when they set a day to interview with a bunch of people. Turn on the charm and make sure you stand out! Be personable, ask them about how they got started with Starbucks. Make a connection that they will remember or you will be lost in the crowd 👍

Well, there are hour restrictions for minors so if the store is looking for a full time worker over part time, it could make it more difficult to land a job BUT definitely still possible! We had several minors who worked at my store! Just try to find a store that is looking for a less full time position but you are doing the right thing applying to a bunch of different locations! Usually they will call you but if you don’t hear anything in about a week I would go into the store or call the store, just being nice and asking if your application has gone through yet!

hey so i had a virtual interview on Monday this week and i honestly think it went really well and the manger said she’d give me a call back, how long should i wait for that call back ?
I would give it a week (maybe even 2 weeks honestly) before reaching out again. November 4th is the winter holiday launch and there is a lot happening hahaha …also with order delays, and everything it’s a lot. BUT I also don’t think it would hurt if you go in and see if you bump into her and just say hi 👋 don’t ask about the hiring process or anything, but just showing your face again could remind her and helps with a lasting impression! 😁👍
How did you memorize all of the drink recipes? Do you have any tips that help you remember them?
There are actually not a lot of different recipes to remember! It’s usually the same portions, just changing syrups or milks. But it does just take time and repetition. I think it helps to focus on either hot bar or cold bar first. Master the drinks for one then move on to the other and master those so it’s not all the drinks all at once. I mean after you make a Frappuccino 100 times in one day you will remember it, trust me haha

Talking with customers gets easier with time but it’s hard for everyone at the start, even people with a bunch of confidence! Like all things it just takes practice. As for the interviews start thinking about the questions I mentioned in the video and if you don’t have a good answer in the moment that’s ok too! Just smile and be friendly and throw whatever out there. Be yourself and I am sure you will get the job! You got this! 🥳

Wear business casual, nothing too formal. For worst experience you can talk about and issue with a group project at school or a conflict with a sport team you are in! At the end you should ask them how they started their career at Starbucks!

@@watdavedoes That interview went well. They asked a number of open ended questions. They explained the core values and mission statement of Starbucks. They asked what I know about the company, they dug deep into my school and employment history 😂 overall, interview went good.
That interview was done by the store Manager, they're supposed to call me and let me know when to do the second interview, this one with the HR

Today was my first ever interview in starbucks. Interview experience was quite good. I Don't have work authorization card. They said they hired me but for the authorization card they can't give me a official permission for work. When I get my work permit then let them know. And call them. After work authorization card they'll hire me and give me the permission.
Now I Don't understand are they hired me or rejecting me???
i think they're intrested but if you arent legally alowd to work yet, get the authorization and then give them a call back to see if the position is still open for you

It could be the timing too and not something you are doing wrong. There tends to be a lot of applications before summer starts

They have been getting pretty chill about all that stuff now. I say apply! It’s not as strict as most places

It’s pretty difficult to move up past shift supervisor because there can only be 1 store manager per store. So you would have to just wait for a manager to quit or get fired lol. I’m thinking this job is just temporary but I am really really enjoying it!

Pick a few times when you didn’t know how to do something and respond with I asked for help and I followed the instructions very clearly, I read lots of info on my “problems” if that makes sense? Definitely mention it! Business management skills are very important, especially in a shift supervisor roll. They would love to have someone with that experience on their team!

Well, there are hour restrictions for minors so if the store is looking for a full time worker over part time, it could make it more difficult to land a job BUT definitely still possible! We had several minors who worked at my store! Just try to find a store that is looking for a less full time position but you are doing the right thing applying to a bunch of different locations! Usually they will call you but if you don’t hear anything in about a week I would go into the store or call the store, just being nice and asking if your application has gone through yet!
