    Lovely shots again!
I have stayed on the Uists in my van last 2 years, if you go again get over to Vallay island , you have to walk over when the tide is out and it has a huge ruined house on it, very photogenic!

@@HenryTurnerphoto Henry, I really enjoy your channel, among a number of landscape photography channels, although I wouldn't consider my self a landscape photographer. I have Scottish heritage so take a lot of pleasure in seeing the locations, although it's extremely unlikely I'll ever get to that side of the world...
For the remote that dropped, salt water is an enemy of exposed contacts. I recommend that you open the control end and see if any water has penetrated. If it's dry breathe a sigh of relief and move to the other end. If it's wet inside flush with distilled water as you want to remove the salt, then with something like isopropyl alcohol. and wipe the outside with a cloth dampened with water, then IPA (and I'm not referring to the ale!). By the look of things the other end is Nikon DC2, so the contacts are inside the plug. If it got dunked repeat the distilled water followed by IPA flush.
I've had to deal with a few bits and pieces that have been dipped in the sea and even gold contacts will show signs of corrosion after a while.
I read somewhere, years ago, that if you drop a camera or suchlike in the sea the best thing to do is to immediately flush it with plain, preferably distilled or deionised , water as it's already wet and you need to get rid of the salt.
Good luck with the remote. Keep up the good work and maintain your enthusiasm - it's infectious!

Question re the use of a tripod in the surf--when I do this, and the surf comes in over the tripod's feet, my long exposures go blurry since the tripod ends up sinking a bit into the sand during the exposure. How do you prevent that? Also, further to an earlier video of yours in which you say "don't buy a wireless remote shutter release, they're a waste of money" (or words to that effect), mine has never fallen into the water, since it lives safely in my pocket while the bit on the camera is tightly connected to the hot shoe...
