Good point. A few times he tried playing a 1-2 give and go triangle with Odegaard in the final third but Odegaard wasn't on the same wavelength. Not digging Odegaard out just making an observation.
Turkish was in top form this episode. Now I'm a West Brom fan and love this podcast. We're not in the same league as you man but the bit of Arteta's comments if my manager was saying that after the shambolic performance against 10 men rivals my head would be flying too. How can a man talk about love the players and the effort? Somethings not right the pressure must be getting to him... anyway love for the love everyone
The same fans who backed us to win the league are now telling us the team doesn't have enough quality lol. This manager has managed to drain any attacking flair out of this team. Sign whoever he wants, unless the tactics change, this style of play will keep killing attacking players.
I've never watched a team to this extent that look like they've been programmed to not take any risks or chances. We don't move the ball between the lines, we seem to wait for other teams to get every man behind the ball before we progress up the pitch like we're scared to lose the ball in transitions. No wonder all of our attackers look void of any confidence. By the time they receive the ball, we've allowed the other team to get into a low block and just sit.
Tbf none of the signings made are regular starters so can’t be called a success and were bought to push the team on. The style is also very different yo last season where you were competing and playing great football. Now its boring and top four is probably the best you’ll do. Arteta is largely to blame for that.
I hate the argument that we were good in attack last year because we scored the most amount of goals we ever have. A lot of those goals came against teams in the bottom half at the time. Burnley 8 goals, Sheffield United 11 Goals, Palace 6 goals, West Ham 6 goals, 7 Against Bournemouth, 6 Against Luton, 7 Against Chelsea. All Against teams in the bottom half at the time. When it came to the games against Teams higher up with better defences we struggled going forward and to create real chances. we were fortunate because we had the best defence in the league but lacked real quality in attack in tight games. That's what cost us the league and without Saka this season its becoming evident it's always been a problem and people are now only realising it.
We also scored 88 the season before, grow up goals have to be scored against all opposition, doesn’t matter who they are, we also scored 3 against Liverpool 7 and against Chelsea. The forward wasn’t a one season wonder!!!
@@Cafez27 30 shots against west ham last season 0 goals, Newcastle Away 0 goals, Aston Villa Home and Away 0 goals, Fulham away 1 goal, City away 0 goals, Liverpool away 1 goal. All game that cost us last year. too many games where the attack is anonymous and that cost us. We decided to sign Sterling to improve that.
@ we can play this game all day and the same would be true of other teams, the facts are we scored 91 and 88 goals respectively and ran the best team in the world at the time a very close second with the same front 5. PS I’m not saying we don’t need at least 2 new elite forwards we do but to suggest we have been deficient in previous seasons is utter lunacy
@@Cafez27 you could win a game 60-0 and score the other 30 goals in different games but the context in which games you scored the goals is more important than the volume. Arteta needs to alter his tactics because we’re just not creating enough.
The ego point is so true. We should have kept Auba and should have signed Toney. He doesn’t have the gravitas to handle the biggest talents, with big characters. Look how humble Saka is. He’s very lucky.
We really need to start playing Kieran Tierney. Lewis Skelly is still young and inexperienced. The few minutes he came on he was really good. But Mikel Arteta would rather have Partey at LB
I might be seen as one who doesn't know football after this, but I'll always say this whenever I have to: Martin Odegaard is not, has never been, and I think will never be an elite player. He's just not got it in him. He lacks more than he has to be a great player. And the major thing he lacks is personality. He doesn't instill fear, or command respect. He's so timid, scared, etc. Always running around like a mouse. I always tell people that Cole Palmer is already ten times a bigger player than Odegaard will ever be. Even Bruno Fernandes........ Look, as much irritating as Bruno Fernandes is, he's much more better a player, and a captain, than Martin Odegaard
@@tom11mansfield That's exactly what I'm talking about. Bruno begging to be sent off shows that he was pissed.... either at himself, or his teammates, or the club. At least, he's reacting to the situation (may not be the best way). Have you ever seen Odegaard barking at anybody, teammates or opponents? Or upping his game when the heat is on? Nah... Rather, the more the heat, the more he shrinks. And him being captain makes everything worse. Do you know what being a captain means? It's not just about your qualities as a player (that's why Man Utd fans are not so behind Bruno). Your personality matters. Granit Xhaka........my God!! Pure captain material. But, no... we'd rather boo him for poor performances. Really? Man was just angry then how things were going at the club. Look at his last season with us: played the best football ever. And look at him at Leverkusen now. So, Martin Odegaard, no. Whenever I look at him, I see this very talented boy that just wants to play........with his mates, and go home with no cuts or bruises.
every time oodegard looks up he has different players in front of him doing random and poor things. He doesnt know what to do because of whats happening around him
So its the same problem Ozil had and what caused him to stop trying? Arsenal have for years bought in one or two quality players and then surround them with average ones.
this game reminds me of arsenal vs sporting in 22/23 at the emirates - ended 1-1, wasted chances, lost on pens, they had a red (ugarte lol) and amorim was their manager 😂
The obsession with "crosses into the box" comes from Arteta's fetish of making Havertz succeed (I love Arteta). He wants Havertz making runs into the box, along with Rice, Merino etc to be getting on the end of these half-space crosses. System changed to accommodate some players..
Accepting that you have a problem is the first step of resolving the problem. Fans will not be this toxic if Arteta came out and said this performance is unacceptable. I am more annoyed about what he says about the situation because it lets me know he’s not bothered about making changes.
" Man U offered nothing " yeah apart from they scored the first goal, they scored ALL of their penalties, the keeper saved 3 penalties, and they held on with 10 men against 12.... But apparently they offered nothing
It's the Gooners agenda. I love it when you see these clowns scramble for excuses yet give no plaudits to the team they hate the most. Yeah we "offered nothing" but won with a solid gameplan.
This show is my therapy, keeps me sane after the depression I feel after every game. The real truth is told on this show, on how fans like me feel. Thank you guys 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾.
Stirling wasn't that bad, well he was at first but got better. He's been out injured and has hardly played. Give him more minutes and i think he'll come good
Arteta has the attack, too, involved with defending. These guys lack composure in the final third from all the dropping deep. Saka said it himself he wants to stay up the pitch more, but the manager wants him defending more. New attackers are needed, but if the tactics are the same, we will be back to the same nonsense.
Last season you were playing to win games and this to not lose games. The lack of creativity is costing you in tight games with sides playing a low block.
Since winning the fa cup, Arsenal has been the worst team out of all leagues, winning 2 fa cup games in 5 years and one of them was against oxford utd, that Arteta guy.
Arteta is this Perfect be the enemy of good" means that striving for absolute perfection can often prevent you from taking action or achieving something that is still good,
We made our squad worse, both in terms of quality and quantity, over the summer. The manager seems to think having no clinical goal scorer is "unlucky". I'm sick of this.
Turkish, thank you my bruddah!! Ur literally saying everything that we’ve all been saying and thinking for time.. Even when everyone was capping for the window u stayed strong cause YOU and million of other gooners KNEW THIS WAS COMING
Of course Isak for Havertz would make a massive difference. Not only will he bury atleast one of the sitters, he will make the movements/runs that would help the likes of Odegaard just like Saka's movement does. Added to that he will move more centrally which will improve Ode's assist numbers, if someone cares about those stats.
When Pepe ever playedas bad as Havertz, he was banished and called out by Arteta. Arteta is trying to hide and deflect criticism for his Marquee signing Havertz. Deep down he knows he does not cut the mustard but when ever he has a bad game and we loose the excuses roll out, "the ball", ," fine margins", "the players gave everything". He is a lying manipulator. The worst part is a simple proper striker and a few forward players, and this side is ready to do bits. The foundation is there but just needs a few tweaks.
2nd highest ticket prices in the world, if our fans had some shame we would be expecting titles every year. But instead we want to be a happy family with a dog
The Saka injury is the reason that Odegaard has dropped in form. Saka occupies at least 2 defenders per game which gives Martin so much space. Turkish I agree with you. This is legacy of poor signings over the last few years
I don’t get the people who say “you can’t get players in January”. This window is so weird, so many attacking players can be acquired if you really wanted one.
While Arteta is sitting there that goals is not our problem, city just added Omar Mamoush to already lethal monster in Haaland, I saw the goal Xavi Simons scored and Sesko too, Arteta is now Kroenkes yes man.
End of last season Mikel told the fans "don't be satisfied". When we try to push the club to buy, play better and challenge we get told "don't expect too much" in the window etc. We're a laughing stock again.
Arteta lies about the best board he worked under only for one reason. They stuck with him when everyone wanted him to be sacked a couple of seasons ago. I feel like Arteta is feeling like no matter what happens he needs to shield the board from any negativity. I am sure he knows that he needs signings but just doesn’t want to say anything negative. Either way, he is a company man just like Turkish said.
As an Australian supporter since the mid 80's, I can only wonder what it's like to watch Arsenal play. For those of you who get that opportunity and have to witness our dismissal performances and live it every single week I can't really imagine what you guys are going through. Love your stream more than you could possibly know. It's like I know you all personally which tells me how genuine the four of you really are. Thanks guys.
On top of everything going on at the club at the moment, I think Ødegaard is actually an 8 which means we need a proper creative 10, a Left Winger and a Striker.
Why CANT THEY SEE THIS. That's my point. Odegaard is a perfect 8. We need a ball carrying 10, a LW who actually takes on and beats his man, and a BLOODY STRIKER, who is ONLY A STRIKER, not some "can play multiple positions" BULLSHIT
Definitely keep as there's nobody else who's suitable to replace him which is the problem, this season has been ravaged by injury, not played the same starting 11 twice in two games, some piss poor sending offs. Our players looked dead on their feet, you can't sack the manager every time you're upset with results, look at where the club was before Arteta stepped in, sack him and we may just end up back there. He needs to get rid of the dead wood in Havertz and Trossard and Morino and we definitely need Alexander Isak and other quality players to replace the ones I've mentioned. Sick of this sack talk .... same problem with the world right now , to many opinions not enough knowledge but once you make the decision to sack him who will he be replaced with and who could actually do any better. He definitely needs to spend which is the main problem and get rid of the deadwood I've mentioned. No matter what the costs are you get what you pay for. He will be put under immense pressure if it continues though. All the best guys!! Matt
Odegaard doesn't have the players to make the killer balls to this season. Saka is out the the rest are massively under performing. This is making Odegaard look bad. Every time he looks up to make a killer pass there is nobody there so he has to recycle. I wouldn't be getting onto him so much.

My biggest problem with arteta is his lack of ruthlessness with the frontline, he hasnt shown the same attitude as he did with ramsdale, and he has not put enough pressure onto the owners to buy the players that are desperately needed, not one player who reads a game and stops following instructions to try and create something. Good point. A few times he tried playing a 1-2 give and go triangle with Odegaard in the final third but Odegaard wasn't on the same wavelength. Not digging Odegaard out just making an observation.
Top players keep making the runs as it only needs to work once then they’ll make more moving forwards.
U from west brom sides ye?
@@deeray4637 yeah yeah
@@Aiden.Fr1 I'm not too far from Brom, down the road in Handsworth
Jordan is like Arsenal's attack, just can't finish.
The same fans who backed us to win the league are now telling us the team doesn't have enough quality lol. This manager has managed to drain any attacking flair out of this team. Sign whoever he wants, unless the tactics change, this style of play will keep killing attacking players.
Both can be (and are) true you know. Not enough quality and porr tactics
Thats 100% true and that's why my concern is - If I'm Isak, I won't be attracted by Arsenal under Arteta this way
I've never watched a team to this extent that look like they've been programmed to not take any risks or chances.
@Cafez27 stats. What a beautiful thing. Whatever the argument is, one wants to support there's a stat
Kai Havertz ruined an entire 5 year project.
I think Arteta did that all by himself. Kai Havertz is merely a symptom of the problem.
@ you’re right. Should’ve said “signing Kai havertz…”
Havertz didn’t cost £150m. Jesus is pretty much on the money and became a squad player so you need to relax on that.
Agreed. The last summer transfer was the nail in the coffin
I blame the so called manager. He signed him.
The ego point is so true. We should have kept Auba and should have signed Toney. He doesn’t have the gravitas to handle the biggest talents, with big characters. Look how humble Saka is. He’s very lucky.
You are 💯 correct
The auba situation has got arteta shook thats why he wont sign top a striker
Clueless
Kept auba?? He was dead for barca and worse for Chelsea but you want to keep him??? 😂😂😂
Dead for barca seriously 😅😅😅@@christopherkennedy1393
Jordan's total speaking time: 530 seconds out of 4845 seconds (10.9%) 🤓
Cmon sterling was the only one trying his best and pushing!!
Fact is Sterling can never win.
We really need to start playing Kieran Tierney. Lewis Skelly is still young and inexperienced. The few minutes he came on he was really good. But Mikel Arteta would rather have Partey at LB
Tierney needs to leave for his own good. Arteta is ruining the guy.
Odegaard been crap all season. The only players performing well this season have been mls timber saka partey gabi and saliba.
I agree, but the question is why. Surely he hasn't forgot how to play football. And we know he can play football because we've seen it!
Don't worry he'll give one assist next game and they'll be talking about him being wOrLdClAsS
@uchennamartin7821 yeah real great captain Bruno is, begging to get sent off during the Liverpool beating 😂
Turkish is on point with everything.. love his passion and not scared to say how it is!!
dont confuse passion with bulls*it. Odegaard is one of the best midfielders in the prem. The disresprct for views is laugable.
These are the only owners Arteta has directly worked under
So he was right 😂😂
Yeah, I was thinking he ain’t really got much to compare to as well.
Jordan was quoting a lie made out of United stand. Fact check it next time guys
This podcast is really therapy to me every morning cah this team and manager is killing me
this game reminds me of arsenal vs sporting in 22/23 at the emirates - ended 1-1, wasted chances, lost on pens, they had a red (ugarte lol) and amorim was their manager 😂
odegard created 10 chances in that game what you talking about
The obsession with "crosses into the box" comes from Arteta's fetish of making Havertz succeed (I love Arteta).
Plus had the far better chances in the game.
It's the Gooners agenda. I love it when you see these clowns scramble for excuses yet give no plaudits to the team they hate the most. Yeah we "offered nothing" but won with a solid gameplan.
If Man United offered nothing, why didn’t you capitalize on the situation? Your stupidity is showing Judges 😂
United barely touched the ball. They offered near enough nothing
I'd be embarrassed to play that way on purpose
Thank you for holding the line Turkish with all you got. Arteta somehow manage to suck the soul out of these team. I can't even enjoy my team anymore.
Arsenal won’t lose to spurs I’m sorry to say
Thank you Turkish for saying what most fans should be saying. At least you are saying what I think!
This show is my therapy, keeps me sane after the depression I feel after every game. The real truth is told on this show, on how fans like me feel. Thank you guys 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾.
I hope Stan and Josh are watching this - it's clear Turkish is the man for the job, the man with all the answers.
Stirling wasn't that bad, well he was at first but got better. He's been out injured and has hardly played. Give him more minutes and i think he'll come good
Facts
Atleast he was running behind hes defender. Jesus wasnt doing any of that. It was the reason odde was shouting at him to go forward
We’ve got our arsenal back! (Rival fans)
Long as Arteta stays this won’t stop
Aftv and chill! 🤣😮💨👍
Can we get a count of how many times they Said “Sorry Jordan” and then interrupts him😂😂
Knocked out in your first match of the FA Cup 😂😂🤣😂
Since winning the fa cup, Arsenal has been the worst team out of all leagues, winning 2 fa cup games in 5 years and one of them was against oxford utd, that Arteta guy.
@@mike-pk2jh they also got knocked out wearing their special white kit 3 out of the last 4 years lmao
Lee talking about the staff standing together on the touch line during penalties is pure facts
Spot on James .. i really feel disconnected from the team due to lack of accountability from Arteta and players its always excuses
If Isak has sense he will stay far away from Arteta's team.
Marquee signing
@flashinapan anemded!
Completely agree with you
Our beloved AFTV is back. We missed you guys
I have to say. I really enjoy your show. Turkish, your comments are priceless. I really look forward to this show each time!
We do not have a divine right to win BUT we do have a divine right to expect our club to do everything it can to help us win. And they don't.
2nd highest ticket prices in the world, if our fans had some shame we would be expecting titles every year. But instead we want to be a happy family with a dog
This podcast is brilliant
Way better than any other podcast on aftv or dr sports
Turkish on 🔥🔥🔥 since yesterday
The hero we dont deserve. Dumbest fanbase by a mile
As a rival fan i absolutely love this podcast. Turkish is a real one
Arteta should be a politician with the level of gas lighting in his press conferences.
The Saka injury is the reason that Odegaard has dropped in form. Saka occupies at least 2 defenders per game which gives Martin so much space. Turkish I agree with you. This is legacy of poor signings over the last few years
Stop it he is so average 😂
1:02:36 James' impression of Lee was 10/10
I don’t get the people who say “you can’t get players in January”.
This window is so weird, so many attacking players can be acquired if you really wanted one.
That AFTV interview from Turkish after the game, that’s how every single Arsenal fan should feel!!!!
While Arteta is sitting there that goals is not our problem, city just added Omar Mamoush to already lethal monster in Haaland, I saw the goal Xavi Simons scored and Sesko too, Arteta is now Kroenkes yes man.
Just in time for my commute, cheers lads 😂
Turkish - 5 star. Completely aligned with your thoughts.
Win the dog must be on his last legs with all these defeats 🤣
Needs to be reported to the RSPCA for neglect 😂
An opposite gender named 'Trophy' is needed now to save Win
We've lost 4 games all season
He's at Battersea dogs home now
His full name is Win Less.
Totally agree.
You’re not getting them in this window. The budget is clearly meant for the summer.
Matt
cmon Jordan really... 49:33 I damn near had a stroke
48:37 lee talking about popworld has me in stitches 😂😂😂 he’s speaking from experience for sure
Odegaard doesn't have the players to make the killer balls to this season. Saka is out the the rest are massively under performing. This is making Odegaard look bad. Every time he looks up to make a killer pass there is nobody there so he has to recycle. I wouldn't be getting onto him so much.
Please let EVERYONE have a say!!! Too much hogging the mic James, Turkish!!!!
I dont know if im ready for this at this time in the morning but fuck it. Coffee joint and lets face the facts. SEASON OVER
I think every fan needs something to numb the pain !
@Vincent77654 100% brva
The minute a managers comments do not match what the fans see on the field He is done.
My biggest problem with arteta is his lack of ruthlessness with the frontline, he hasnt shown the same attitude as he did with ramsdale, and he has not put enough pressure onto the owners to buy the players that are desperately needed, not one player who reads a game and stops following instructions to try and create something. Its all too regimented
Arteta still holds on to the fa cup win 5 years ago but dont get it twisted you won it with another managers players, since then hasnt made it past the 4th rnd
And why do you care enough to put a comment arteta lives rent free in your head
He's bang average mate , tactically he's horrendous
One of the worst manager in Arsenals history.
Don’t forget the two charity shield triumphs even though for one you didn’t even win anything.
@@Sgaramr123What, has no Arsenal fan ever commented on another fan channel? Its a free world. Can’t you handle the critiquing?
I simply love Lee, speaks from the heart and loves the club madly.
Turkish nailed it when he said “Big Attackers come with big egos and Arteta has a big ego so is that why we’ve not bought one…?”
I was dreading to watch this, but it was definitely therapeutic. I was planning to sell my ticket for the NLD derby (club level ticket to celebrate my new job), and after hearing Lee I almost did exchange there and then. Surprisingly, Jordan has changed my mind when he said “I just want to see a performance”. Simplicity is underrated, thank you
Turkish is pure Arsenal love his passion … he calls it how he sees it …… ❤
He gets it badly wrong too. He wanted Xhaka out. Xhaka out was what got us Havertz. Xhaka is lighting it up at Leverkusen now.
Why does James keep cutting off Jordan 🤔
Thanks arsenal again for havertz
We got Jackson and palmer for almost the same money
He was never meant to be a #9 tbf, but Arteta insists on playing him there.
