I have family members in that cemetery. It was vandalized a few years ago & some of the beautiful headstones were destroyed. The teenagers did more damage than the cows. There used to be a beautiful stone that looked like a tree.

    • @RhettyforHistory

My great grandparents are buried in this cemetery, but apparently you didn't come across their graves. I remember my uncle taking me to this cemetery when I was younger, and he showed me the marker with the ball shape on top at 15:41. It has sunk down a lot since I was there, and I can't remember if he told me that was someone related or not. Thanks for sharing.

That's a beautiful cemetery... and it looks like you couldn't have picked a better day, weather-wise, to pay it a visit! Great video (as always) and super History lessons too! Too bad about the cows ambling through, though, pushing over headstones and poopin' all over the place.
And, totally off topic here, but I just happened to notice you've added a face-mask to your line of merch... very cool! Out of all the channels I'm subscribed too, you're the first one I've seen do that, so far, so I just wanted to mention it here in the comments in case other people hadn't noticed it yet.
Thanks, again, for another entertaining/informative video!

Thank you for watching Valerie! It was a nice day but it did get hot later on.
I really wish they wouldn't allow the cattle to graze in cemeteries. It's just so destructive to the markers and history within the cemetery. Deer and other wildlife don't seem to do much of that. That is a large cemetery especially for the area.

Thank you so much for watching and a big Happy Birthday to your husband! The headstone is now in the hands of family. They are checking with some different monument companies to see what it will take to get it placed back where it belongs. They don't know if it can be placed where there is sort of a cement little square or if it it needs a base. It's damaged on the bottom so we don't know if it can be cut off or fixed. The good news is the family did not pay to get it back which is how it should be.
