Change is always scary and sometimes it doesn't feel right at first, but people will get used to the new face over time as long as FBK is using it consistently.
I still can't believe how instantly I loved IRyS 2.0. It took time to like 1.0 but ended up feeling normal after a while, then literally a day after 2.0 came out I saw the original again and it looked so out of place

IRyS is my Kami-oshi so her change in model took me a while to get used to but now when I look back at her old model I'm positive her new model was the right way to go, I'm sure with time all the Friends will love her new look! 💙

i grew attached to her model, ngl, my oshi has very cute models and cute dresses, but the new model is so beautiful aswell, congratulations to the artists and everybody that worked behind the scenes to make this smooth as possible.

There was always the risk of losing her particular pon stare, that makes her look like those memes where an anime girl is overlayed with a gun or something like that, but the desigenrs knew what they were doing.

This update gives so much vibrancy and color that she was lacking imo, a massive improvement. Not to say the old model was bad but the colors are noticeable compared to her other outfits especially. When looking at all of her outfits, everything feels at the same level now. Glad she got this update!

Fully agree its almost like comparing older animes with newer ones where colors are way more vibrant and stand out while the old stuff the colors were bit more bland?? i mean its like u said its not like her old model was bad or anythin we just got very used to it and seeing this new one its most definitly an improvement and anyone that might not like it now will get used to it quickly for sure and like it aswell

@@BlackPointt I personally liked the deadpan look of her old model, it gave off a nonchalant fox god vibe. I think this new model is cute, and I agree is very expressive, but no, I don't think I'll ever like it more than the original specifically because of that expressiveness. While I prefer the original model, It doesn't really matter though, because I like Fubuki regardless of the model she's using.
I like the old model better because it has this one aesthetics effect that make it unique from others vtuber model. Plus the old model is just so iconic
The new update is amazing and cute as hell. That being said, I will always be sad we lost the real old derpy designs. Fans of a show like Kemono Friends would understand, there's something moe about the derp that we wont get back 😿

Some people generally don't like change but they'll get used to it.
They shgould follow Ironmouse, who has been changing models every few months this past year, partly for lore and party just cause she can.
As far as FBK is concerned, i'm hoping they're going to be taking advantage of the latest rigging technology. The latest rigging allows for accurate movement of the mouth making it far more expressive and the VA doesn't have to go through such exaggerated motions to produce the normal mouth motions anymore (still have to do a little but per Mouse its not as bad as it used to be, the calibration is really good now)
@@EndoftheBeginning17do consider that Mouse is basically independent when it comes to her brand (i know she is with vshojo) and can basically do whatever she wants. With Hololive the designs are owned by Cover and new outfits have to be approved for the brand.
Both approaches have their pros and cons and fit for their own situations.
Constantly changing also has its downsides.
I know that there are some designs Mouse has that she used for a very short amount of time. If I were an artist who got to design one of the if not the biggest vtuber on Twitch and she barely used it i’d feel a hit to my ego. I mean, getting paid is fine and all, but what is more important is having people see it.
Not saying what Mouse is doing is bad either. She can’t exactly on a whim go to the store and buy new clothes.

The old model didn't have great mouth tracking...but the new one is a joke. It looks ridiculous. The mouth is too big. The cartoon look doesn't suit her either...the more muted colours of her old model suited her better...she looks like a child now. I don't really watch her, but I'm sure her viewers will like it or get used to it...but personally, I don't think it's much of an 'upgrade' in terms of looks to be honest.
I see why this was hard. I love the new model, but up to a couple of years ago, I still would have said that Fubuki had one of the BEST models in Hololive, artistically speaking. In gen 3, Pekora and Marine have models that look particularly good, but I think it's only in gen 4, with Luna's model, that I think there is decent competition. I also think Koyori's model looks really really good.
I suspect I'm not the only one who thought this, even Fubuki's manager seems sensitive to the idea that Fubuki's model was so good for so long, that it's actually dangerous to try and mess with it. But I think the new model is awesome! Even just based on clips so far, I think it MASSIVELY more expressive. Honestly, I think it re-establishes Fubuki as having one of the best-looking models.

It doesn't matter to me how many updates the person has towards her model, so long as she remains the same kind and sweet person I've know throughout these years it makes no difference to me. Although, it does strangely feel a bit saddening watching the OG model go like this, just how I felt the same with IRyS new model. Her OG model will still have a place in my heart as will Fubuki's OG model. Not gonna lie, the new FBK model looks really awesome, can't wait to see the new things that come along with it.
the rigging is definitely a lot smoother, but designwise I cannot say I like it even close to as much
the new colors hurt my eyes and she looks even less human than before.
it's a small thing for now, but if hololive ever fades into obscurity, it will probably be because the agency changed to much and strayed too far from its roots, like so many other fallen giants.
The og model definitely has its charm that I’m going to miss.
There’s something about the old model that makes her seems a bit…”stiff” for the lack of better word, which somehow worked really well with how hyper and energetic she is. It’s kinda like a “gap moe” if you will. She’s very animated despite the gap of less animated avatar.
In any case, I love her new updated avatar a lot! Now her body language can keep up with her personality even more and she can express herself more naturally!
Of course i will miss our friend's more muted colors, but the new look is absolutely adorable! The eyes are so beautiful and the whole look is much more cheerful❤
It will take some time for me to get used to the new look but as long as Fubuki-chan is still Fubuki-chan, I'll be happy. Her personality is what I love and I'll always be a fan no matter what her model looks like
Honestly i will miss the 1000 yard stare memetic fox expressions she does, but the new one fits her oddly well like IRyS 2.0 (giving the fact Fubu use that model since debut and was modified A LOT).
most of us may come for the model, but I'm sure everyone stayed for the personality.
It's not bad by any means, but I like the previous one more. It looked more hand drawn, while the new one looks more CG.

The expressiveness and color vibrancy of this update is really, really good, its definitely a big step up in quality.
Might take a bit to get used to for some, initially it looked a bit "plastic-y" to me, too, most likely due to the stark contrast in outline density and strong change in color saturation but FBK's cute antics work so well with the new model I got used to it in no time at all. In conclusion, cute Fox is cute!

This leap is bigger than the last one. I always thought her eyes needed some work, but now I don't know if this is the approach I was waiting for. But she likes it, so I will get used to it!

Almost everything is exactly the same as the original, just more defined with small improvements in certain places.

new model seems way less emotive because the mouthline is super hard to see when closed and her eyebrows are much lighter imo, I don't love it, but there's always the chance to simply improve it. Look at Kiwawa's cake, for example

I like how the new model seems more expressive, and can still deliver some of those derpy expressions except much more.....more. her update model also makes it fit with all the others. There was always something about her og model that contrasted against newer members.
However, the derpy memeable cute og design has its charms and nostalgia. The more bishoujo look makes her more attractive sure, but looses the derpy pudgy charm of the og, and the clunky less fluid expressions she gave whichbgotvuse gems like yabe.

i think the one thing that stands out to me the most that makes me prefer the old fubuki over the new fubuki is her new vs old eyes. i do like flatter, 2d aesthetics and visuals more than i do 3d, though, so that could also explain it.

I think the old model made the shading stand out more, resulting in a more detailed general look. The new one seems more generic and similar to a lot of vtuber models you see around nowadays, IMHO.

I always loved how flat her face is when she looks to the side. It has this very special thing.
But the new one is so lively. Really good at conveying her expressions. And the colors are so much more clear. The lineart was quite muted in the old one. Framerate seems a bit choppy, but that might just be something to be dialed in.
Honestly its the bright eyes that will take the most getting used to.

It looks a bit strange after seeing he old model for so long but I'm sure I'll get used to it. The more expressive reactions will certainly make for some meme-able moments so we'll definitely be seeing a lot of it in the coming days

they should be scared, but they nailed it. It's very hard to even match the og one because everything about it is so iconic and good.

Very much not a fan of the new coloring and changes to her eyes, mouth, etc.. Wish they'd just tweaked the most egregious flaws with the original instead of feeling the need to revamp literally everything
there are improvements in some areas but its mostly just a different art style which is weird because the original was good
i prefered the old model for surere. the light and less saturated colors were such a great fit to her calm voice and personality. but at the end of the day i dont care too much. if she think the new one is better she should use it,

Well FBK is Hololive and Hololive is FBK. Without FBK Hololive was nothing. She is heart and soul of Hololive, made the company famous overseas and is number one professional face of the company in most of the external collabs and other promotional events.
She absolutely gives her everything for Hololive and they know what they have in her.
I think if they took the eyes from the previous design and used them for the new one, it would’ve been perfect.

Her old avatar gave her a cool laid back look, but the new one gives her a cute vibrant pep.
The first thing I thought about was losing the "YA BE" face because of her eyes being different...until she widened her eyes for a moment at the end of the clip. The similarity is shocking and makes it feel like this model is an actual upgrade rather than a remake, like going from a PS3 model to a PS4 model or something. There are plenty of super iconic looks that are sadly never used anymore for the most part, like Sakura Miko's original model during her famous N-word clip, but it is what it is. At least these older looks become immortalized as memes and fan games.

The only jarring thing is the absolute annihilation of the nose. It went from barely there to nonexistent, and now her face gives me emoticon/emoji/pogchamp/pop cat vibes. And actually now that I say it, she really does look like pop cat
