I hate to be that guy to say what will get a label placed on you but I am the guy that woule have sat on the deck of the Titanic and finished off the oldest bottle of whiskey all the way up until the moment I get to see what the unknown actually is and prove death is something you should never fear. According to the "official report" on the events of that day in Sept 2000+1, the upper sections crushing the structure beneath in addition to the striking of a plane (small amount of weight/density) to the outer steel frame caused a complete failure and ultimately collapse of almost the entire structure × 2 could be explained as what really happened a short time following the impacts as fact. Unfortunately, there were no seismic activity readings which there would have to be and following that explanation there would be an epic flood of lower Manhattan since that slurry wall would have zero chance of holding back all that water from the Hudson River in addition to withstanding the crushing blow via Sir Issac Newtons laws that must have been out at sea with all the F16s or maybe on vacation for once in history following their inception into Physics as a fact one could use Legos to prove the point. The 3rd building that fell faster than a bowling ball dropped off the roof at the moment of unbelievable is still the one part of that whole nightmare most experts at NIST forget about since it was much later in the day, no strike to the building and 47 stories of extra reinforcement that housed the Three letter agencys, the mayor command post and bunker, the files to that Enron thing and all the bonds due on all the money used to buy up anything of value after the wall went down and the ussr became no more. Think Carlyle Group that was meeting that same day with that guy who did it family a few blocks away to discuss future business that must have been future meaning a month or two on a hunch. My opinions regarding that particular feat of engineering, even the builders of the pyramids on the giza Plateau couldnt reproduce so we are kind of even, but still concerns me. I loved NYC before that event and still love it but it just aint the same kind of love anymore. Everyone I know that lived in Lower Manhattan moved on shortly after that day and those that remained left in the early days of the most recent event that began in early 2020. Why? They would know that gut feeling since they lived through it and never got closure via a proper investigation. I hope they are wrong but said to stay in Lower Manhattan after mid 2020 is not a good idea. A few took out a piece of American Currency to fold up and show an eerie depiction of what looking like the Hudson River breaking thru and flooding the city they miss and loved so much. They understand the label that thought would get them and only shared that idea with a crazy person such as myself. The Great Reset has yet to begin but we will all see and understand what that was all really about in the near future. I reside in Philly and like NYC and oddly all major cities on each coast have witnessed the police being told to stand down as the criminal element take over the streets 24hrs a day with the media reminding us all how insane this has gotten. I shared an opinion with a few people I consider to be highly intelligent and we agreed it is as if those in charge are quietly trying to tell anyone that is paying attention to move from the coasts, without going live and causing a panic that would include the worst reaction by humanity like the panic for toilet paper or gas but on a grand scale...they tested society and well society panicked immediately so the quiet approach was what we got. I wish you and everyone the best in the coming future regardless of what happens since a perfect storm of the economy/debt, the sun cycle, and the treat of attack from the bad guys in not a conspiracy and is obvious at this point. Left or right leaning is meaningless in this spot. Spirituality is the only thing to lean on if you had that moment in life like I did a few years back. If you dont have faith in that sort of thing just keep an open mind and an open heart in case that moment happens in line with the type of moment I hope does not come along in our near future. We are living in unprecedented times. I am sorry for my part in all of this as we all funded this mess in some form or another. Nothing can hold back fate. Even a slurry wall from the creator of it all out of the unknown and into this very moment moving towards the unknown ahead. Be a positive good hearted person and you along with your loved ones will be ok no matter what.
Does bentonite remain as a sealant of sorts after the concrete is poured? I’m just wondering why the slurry is poured then replaced with concrete. Why the seemingly extra step?

I'm totally amazed that the collapsing buildings didn't compromise the slurry walls and flood the area.

The goal is to create a reinforced concrete wall. The bentonite slurry supports the sides of the excavation making it possible to place the concrete.
