Well, even a MIDI acoustic guitar would sound better than that California series acoustic crap. I love Fender, but they should have better utilized those Tacoma and Guild assets. It's also a very dry mix, aside from the snare and cymbals.
Bruce Norman Smith I know right, every one complaining that it's their worst performance, it sounds like it came straight out of the garage. Wich is so punk and raw. Just straight unfiltered. Loved it.
The whole film crew (and band) did an amazing job! The camera shakiness, fast pans and fast cuts in editing is a well thought out style meant to replicate the high energy levels of the song. It's raw, it's visually pleasing and genuinely just a work of art. Again well done to all those involved!!
desideriumincarmen Exactly! That cheap black Fender flattop sounds like a dish sponge or old sweat sock, slathered in glue, with strings stretched across it... Absolutely nothing wrong with that lead Tele though, mind you.
Cool video, the leader singer / band have attitude, the guitar mix sounds great, and I finally get the headstock on the new California series of acoustics which looks better, have more symmetry on stage with the electric guitars.
spottedstar1123... I don't mind at all up to me she's like a C minor 7 chord ready to turn into a G sharp someday (18 +) seriously she's gorgeous that's it
This was quite Long ago it wasn’t 2 weeks ago haha Lydia has pink hair now sage shaved all her hair off umm max left the band and ya the acoustic doesn’t sound that good
Was Lydia lip syncing the vocals? The tone of the music was amazing (except for the acoustic guitar part), but the background vocals were pretty lacking.
But Weezer's music is generally unenjoyable, and you can't really mosh to pork and beans as much. This song has three times the personality of pork and beans in fifteen seconds.
Music is fluid. I love Weezer, but they don't own those notes in that order. Plus, The Regrettes definitely change it up a little bit. And considering Rivers Cuomo literally studies songs he likes and tries to copy what makes them successful, I doubt he'd mind.
Fender is always trying to find new ways to sell guitars. When guitarists were important, it was easier for them. Guitarists are less important now, so they've changed their approach. They offer simple guitar lessons online. They promote tuners, making it clear that you don't have to develop a musical ear. They give instruments to amateurish players to create the impression that guitar is something anyone can try. This is about trying to create a new market for guitars, nothing more. I don't understand your comment, Chris.
You're absolutely right in what you say and that's also what most "real musicians" think - Fender promotes their guitars with guys who can't really play. It's supposed to take away the "a Squier is enough for my 2-finger-powerchords" attitude to sell more expensive guitars. It's a bit of a kick in the teeth of people who always played/paid Fenders because they reached some skill level with effort. Well, it deterred me.
Camera man go sleep you're drunk
Genessa's tone in this was fricking amazing. Love it when she plays a tele
I love this band, but this particular performance was not great oof. The background/harmony vocals did not sound good. Can't figure out why.

totally agree with you. this Performance is SO crapy.. :/
desideriumincarmen yeah, the performance's purpose was to show off the guitars when tbh they didn't sound great.
One of the best new bands today
Ahhh it’s not gonna be the same without Maxx anymore :’(
Now do Hippocampus
Jesus Ocotecatl YES PLEASE
Halocline gang👌
I like the raw sound, feels real, reminds me of the 90s

As much as I love this song and band, I really hated that acoustic guitar tone. Way better versions out there.

Yall clearly do not understand the acoustic folk punk vibes
I think toy version is the best
@@noahhight7781 nah, we do. We just have functioning ears. Garbage tone.
idk, i think something was just off for some reason. i really like this band and you can have great performances all the time.
I DONT KNOW WHY THE COMMENTS ARE SO MEAN, THIS IS GREAT!!!!
If you like Regrettes, check out Ted Duchamp - Coke Float!
Think you will like it! x
Damn she looks like Donna from That 70s Show
OMG NOW I CAN'T UNSEE IT
She has like 12 different looks. She's a blonde last I saw at Lolla.
nice head on the guitar!😍
Genessaaaaaa
Thanks sister's, well done, nice tones and demonstration!

This thing sounds like Pork and Beans of Weezer
Never lose the tele ;~;
The front singer she's kind of appealing 🤩
Alexandre Anonimous she's also a minor
spottedstar1123... I don't mind at all up to me she's like a C minor 7 chord ready to turn into a G sharp someday (18 +) seriously she's gorgeous that's it

Still waiting for the next artist that will remind the world to play guitar. Every generation needs one, and we're LONG overdue.

Weezer pork n beans riff?
🙏😇😉🤓🦄🔥
i absolutely love the regrettes, but this is their worst performance i've seen/heard so far.. wtf? :(
Love the redhead's solo how drums sound and lydia's charisma, but the reast of this is crap exept visual component
Liked the song but the main riff is such a clear rip off of pork and beans by weezer
Caxx came here to say this, thanks
There's only so many chords and notes out there, you idiot.
It's similar, yes. But it's clearly not a "rip off."
I’m pretty sure they’re aware and even “sampled” it. I read it somewhere a while back.
But Weezer's music is generally unenjoyable, and you can't really mosh to pork and beans as much. This song has three times the personality of pork and beans in fifteen seconds.
I thought Maxx left the band?
he did, this video is very old, don't know why they uploaded it until now. You can see Lydia's hair is black and Sage has hair.
Bradley Ismail wait what? Why did he leave
idk you can read it in the regrettes facebook
Id even tag the drummer and I know he's a dude huh
Bleugh.
Looks like a country version of Nirvana.
Gabriel Amancio is like the shitty, acoustic rip off version of Nirvana
Not crazy about the music, girls are hot though.
The girls are hot
Not the short haired lesbian though
Ray Hoodoo yeah I know what you mean
uhhhh they are 17. im calling chris hansen
+Alberto Lopez Only Lydia is 17, Genessa and Sage are both in their 20s
HR TheFlameBladesWielder still tho.
This is such a clear rip off of pork and beans by weezer...

This has literally got like 3 of the same notes on guitar and that's it from what I can tell
This does not inspire me to buy guitars, if that is the intent.
Back to your death metal bro.

Not very good !!!!!!
Good enough to be signed by Warner Bros Records. What label are you on?
G THIS is signed by Warner Bros? Lmao the major labels must he completely bananas
G Being singed to major labels stopped being a sign of good music 20 years ago.
lol you dont't have to be good at songwriting to recognize a bad song. same way you dont have to be a chef to recognize bad food
