I'm sorry if you've already answered this question but what size in thickness are your dreads? and how many are in your hair? thanx to one of your videos I did some but I think I made them too thin and ended up putting a lot in my hair and my head was killing me.
They last 6-7 weeks or more if you take care of them. I know someome who had them in for 5 months with no problem. Use dry shampoo and if you feel you need to wash your hair put your dreads up and wash more towards the scalp. Hope this helped c:

How does it work with your natrual hair? I got some sync dreads (very thin ones, because my hair is soooo thin) and if I braid one in, it always tangles in my real hair, because my hair is ridiculously long... And i got the feeling, that the sync dreads are damaging my hair... because of the constant rubbing... :(
MelittaDilemma synthetic dreadlocks may be having some effect on your scalp, as the hair is basically made from acrylic fibres, which isn't what your scalp is used to. also, as it is made from this material, there might be a problem with static between your hair and the dreads, which could be the reason why your hair gets so tangled with it! you could try using wool, or you could get clip in real hair extensions and make your own dreads - I'm not sure if there's anywhere that sells these, but worth having a look! I'm not a professional, just a theory, but hope this helps :)
having bought both the pound shop brush and the brand one, i'll go with the brand one.. the brand one doesn't scratch my scalp and has way more flexible bristles...

@nudna if you want you can mix baking soda, Apple cider vinegar and lime or lemon juice in warm water. Then you can soak your dreads in the water for as long as 20 minutes. It does fairly well to take out dirt or gel that has been forming in you're dreads but I do recommend not doing it too often because it will dry you're hair out a lot and when you finish the process, condition you're hair and rinse it out. I recommend doing it when ever you have build up or when you have not cleaned you're hair in a while. But like her, use dry shampoo on a regular basses. You can also have you're dreads for as long as you like or until if becomes loose or you want to re-dye you're hair

Just work from the back of your head until you are happy with what it looks like, that's what I would do
