The big problem Sorrento has always had with increasing tourism is that it has no large beaches unlike the Amalfi Coast. That's why things are so much cheaper there. That said, I love the place and the location and hope to return soon.
My husband and I just watched your blog on why to visit Sorento, my husband and I visited in August 2019 and fell in love with it. We did Amalfi Coast and Capri and enjoyed it but Sorrento is our favourite. We are booked to return in Sept and cannot wait to go back. Best wishes. Susan 🇮🇪
thank you guys! I was worried about our plans to stay in Sorrento, but you convinced me its a great place to base out of while exlporing this southern tip of Italy.
We’re here right now. Weather is fine and we’re staying at the Plazzo Marziale just near a beautiful church. Today we explored Sorrento and tomorrow Pompeii and then Amalfi later. We’re not beach people so March has been a good time to come here.
Thank you for your video! I've been debating whether to stay in Sorrento or Positano for my trip to Italy! I def am more confident in staying in Sorrento now! 😊
@@Karl-oc2yf yeah! I just booked and staying at the hotel Admiral you know it? Sounds like there’s alot to do and a good location as Naples ain’t that far away as well as Capri and the almalvi coast isn’t that far either!

We LOVE Sorrento and have been no less than 5 times. It's a MUST for everyone. Thank you yet again you guys, you're so happy and inspiring. Mike & Yvonne xx
Love this!! I just returned and I absolutely love Sorrento and would recommend staying there over any town on the Amalfi coast for all the reasons they stated! That said, I wasn’t there during beach season!
I love you video! My husband and I will stay in Sorrento this summer as part of our trip to Italy. Sorrento looks amazing and we look forward to our visit.
I'm sure you're going to have such a lovely time! We've just launched another video about Sorrento, with a more comprehensive travel guide, you might want to have a look :) Either way, enjoy your trip!
Thankyou beautiful people, for such an informative, fantastic video! I was torn between Positano, Atrani or Sorrento, but now I know which one I will visit in a couple of years (hopefully!!). Sorrento here we come!! 🤩🤩
Great video, and we totally agree! We just came from a few days in Sorrento. One quick note about the English term "bamboozled" - it actually means to be swindled or taken advantage of, so it's probably not the term you were looking for (although it's a good one!). Maybe the right word for being pleasantly surprised, which I think in context is what you were hoping to convey, would be flabbergasted, dumbfounded or better yet, astonished. :)
Thank you so much for this fun video! We've been and cannot wait to return (for longer!). Would love to see some more in depth Sorrento related videos, so I guess that means you'll need to go back again soon! ;)

Hi. Your Sorrento video is stunning gorgeous. I have also visited there many years ago. My video shows only photos. I used AI to shoot photo from Sorrento to show the top of Vesuvius. Direct distance is 12 km. Have a good day. Matti
Funny I've been thinking of staying in Salerno for a long time since my great grandfather was born in a town outside of that city. However, I have other relatives from that side who actually lived and taught school in Sorrento! In fact, when my mother wrote her life history, she said that her grandfather had come from Sorrento....she was mistaken, but Sorrento was on her mind! I visited MANY years ago..and may start to research an extended stay there esp. if my lawyers bring my case soon for my dual citizenship!! My main consideration is that is has a NutraSi...so I will research now! UPDATE: Sadly, no NutraSi...closest is in Salerno and who can survive the Amalfi to get there?? LOL

Hi I’m going to Sorrento next month, do you have any recommendations on excursions such as the boat trip from Sorrento to Amalfi and Positano? Many thanks 😊
Hello! That’s amazing, you’ll have the best time. We were there off season so we didn’t do any boat excursions - but definitely recommending going on one! When you arrive you’ll find lots of agencies selling boat tours so there you can ask what they have and book what sounds best to you. We definitely recommend also visiting Pompeii and the towns in Amalfi Coast, to which you can go by boat or bus 😊

@@NALBATRAVELS Great and very helpful video. Could you let me know the name of the hotel you stayed in Sorrento please. I’ve seen your other Video and the room looks very nice. Thank you.
We took the bus and it was around 1 hour. The actual time may depend a little on traffic and on where else the bus stops (like Positano and other towns). It was cheap, easy and the views during the journey are insane! We we recommend taking the bus for sure :)
Yes it was a bit chilly especially when the sun went down or by the seaside where there was wind. Late march you can expect 13-19 degrees Celsius during the day, depending on how lucky you are with the weather!
We also went at about that time, and even though it was sunny, it was still a bit cold. We could see the beaches but no one was there - I think they were closed. But don’t worry because the city is beautiful and there’s so much to see around it! 😄
