Usually, in these AUs, he exists incidentally to the Apple girls or Cheerilee, or just never appears. And that's if he doesn't get infected.

He can use magic to control the shadows around him and turn them into whatever he wants, although he almost never does it in front of other ponies because he doesn't want to be seen as a monster from some sort, he just want to have a damn normal life

ok so first off, this is one of the best looking MLP Infection AU's ive seen yet. and second off i love how its unknown as to whether or not gummy is immune or just digesting them because crocodile stomach acid is actually incredibly powerful in nature and able to digest bone and necrotic tissue with no ill effects to the animal itself, so its entirely plausible that Gummy's stomach acid is just too strong for the spores.
After the parasprite episode, I wouldn't be surprised if Pinkie was the ultimate survivalist since she knew exactly what she needed to do to get the parasprites out of ponyville while everyone else had little to no clue of what they really were until things escalated. If she had that knowledge before anyone else in ponyville did, what other scenarios (especially apocalyptic like in this au) is she prepared to deal with?
