I feel like that's why this hurts me so much. To see him in such a way, and to know that it was FANS or people who PAYED to get into the concert doing that. What hurts even more is that even after that he got up and finished. That's such a Brendon thing to do, to care so much about finishing the show over your own health and safety. You can really see how much he truly cares about his fans and the music itself. It's heartbreaking in every way.

What may be a ‘wimpy-ass cold’ in your opinion could really damage someone’s voice. The legit definition of it is "Bottles of piss and beer are thrown at acts who's genres don't match all of the other genres on that stage as an act of disrespect/distaste for the genre or defiance. So basically someone thought "Panic are on the metal stage, but they're not metal! They need to fuck off, I know!" and chucked a bottle at his head. It's a "tradition" apparently, but that doesn't make it an act of respect. If one of your favourite musicians gets bottled over here in the UK, then you have a right to feel a little bit mad.
The same thing happened to My Chem. They got piss bottled, so people pissed in the bottles and threw them at the band. The whole time the band never got angry, never swore at the crowd and never threw the bottles back at them. The crowd even ended up singing along in a chant with the band by the end of it.
Every time I hear this story I think about Patrick, lol. He was watching them from the side of the stage and as soon as Brendon got hit he ran off to find a medic!! So cute

Have never seen anything like it! I believe it was on the bbc festival highlights that year actually.
