⭐ See the time I found a complete ROMAN POT! ⭐ th-cam.com/video/A7Sayz7Jk6k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aM4quctn9_EIfm5_⭐
Fantastic Si !!!
Simon, I just have to say that you produce amazing videos. I am 72 years old and definitely have some favorite TH-camrs, especially mudlarkiers. I am too old and disabled to do what you do. So my mudlarking is done through your eyes. I just watched your Liverpool video and it was so enjoyable. And the search for Dino tracks in Scotland. You are a very charming young man. I appreciate the respect people like you show for the antiquities you are blessed to find. Love the music and your filming style, it just makes for wonderful videos. Your Liverpool video is the closest I will ever get to actually seeing the amazing history there. Their tourism departments should hire you to promote them. Keep it up!
Me too l'm 83 young girl 😂 ❤❤
@@margaretgarrett6632That is the right attitude Margaret!! Blessings send from Canada🙏🏼💖👋🏼🇨🇦🫨
@@McChrister Thankyou . I will never "grow up" 😂 l am from Somerset, England ..best wishes to you.
Somerset is beautiful.@@margaretgarrett6632
You seemed to have such patience with your silly (likely drunk?) friend who refused to get out of his boat. But, my comment is about how much I enjoy your creativeness and positive attitude. You are very talented. Much fun to watch. From Northern California USA
Thanks so much Gerry! 👍🏻🐾🧡
As a detectorist In Australia, you people from the UK are so lucky to have what you have - being able to find the things you find! I’ve been thinking very seriously on moving to the UK just because of my hobby.
The earliest we get here is low 1800s, although I found a 1700 farthing! Love your content mate!
Cheers Michael, if it's any consolation I am envious of your gold, opals and that big yellow thing in the sky ☀
Big yellow is easy to coax out! The others; a lot more difficult down under!! Then there’s the snakes, spiders, ticks, leaches, drop-bears and don’t even think of going near the water😢! See you soon😂!!
I agree, I'm in the US and could only dream of such finds 😍
Believe you me, you are better off where you are. Grass is always greener...
same in canada xd
Thanks - You're spoiling us now Si! Adventure, comedy capers, danger, treasure, history, ancient crafts - all in one super duper episode!! (even the Hens played their part in telling you 'cup, cup', funny) Loved it!! ♥
Hey Penny! I hope you enjoyed this XL mudventure! Thank you so much my Angel 😇
@@Sifinds Yes thank you Si - Another special mudventure treat from our mudloving hero!! I thoroughly enjoyed it! x
Fab video, Si - thanks!!! You three guys need to do more water-borne adventures. In all the paddling, looking, finding, scratching, walking, making, did zi happen to see "our" donkey bring carefully pressed into some clay? 🫏🫏🫏 😂 Thanks for a really terrific video. So much fun 😁
🙋🏽♀️ from Seattle ❤
I especially enjoyed the section on making the pots! Very cool - creating a Roman kiln.
Cheers Janice! 👍🏻🐾🧡
OMG it was like watching an episode of the three stooges! So funny. All of the pottery pieces turned out amazing. Great episode Si, I loved it all, thank you ! ♥Teresa 🇦🇺♥
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Great show. You could use some of your glass shards as glazes on the pottery.
Fantastic video. I really enjoyed the pottery kiln. Your pots are gorgeous Simon. What an excellent day of detecting. Thank you an cheeers.
Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
More videos with these chaps! Probably one of the most entertaining just because of the antics and personalities.
Hopefully more!
We will return at some point to cause carnage.
Great pot making. Always great watch your shows. wish there were more. ive watched them all, several times
There's several more adventures with Si on my channel if you want a bit more Si.
a thimble... I just love it when you find thimbles! my favorite. Thanks for the videos. 🙂
Yes I love them too!
Pretty sure I would've "accidentally" flipped Chris's kayak over. And that maniacal laughter!!
Not sure but next time a rack on the bottom of the kiln may help with circulation
Oooof, don't know where to start!!! First bit . . . nah, that lazy guy got on my t*ts. But then . . . dadadadaaaah . . . the kiln, geez, genuinely exciting, brought out my inner ancestor, loved it! Then the muddy field . . . perfecto . . . cheers!
Thanks so much Jane!
You have great friends😂😂😂😂. How fun!
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Really loved the video, very inspiring. The oil lamps are really good. The create your own pottery is a wonderful process. So much clay in my garden would keep you supplied for many years!!!
I’m a senior citizen from the Dallas,Fort Worth area , in Texas, I love watching to see what you guys are going to find next!!!
Cheers Mary! 👍🏻🐾🧡
As much as I love your videos, I would willingly drown that cackling old man lol😂. Love your finds.
The pots are spectacular. Love the pocket flask and the oil lamp. ❤
Cheers Phylis👍🏻🐾🧡
Great to see Chris, between the two of you, you got me 'addicted to bleeps', believe it or not!
Let's hope he starts making hi s awesome content again soon x
My pups are Bella and Blue
I’m just in the beginning of the video, this should be interesting. From the child’s life vest on! 😂. An interesting mix of a lot of things. I’m glad you survived the canoes, even though two of you made pretty good at dragging! Fun video!
Yes a great start lol
What a great couple of days you had Simon? Your friend although he made excuses about his footwear made me laugh so much! Some great adventures you all had, and some fabulous finds well done to you all 👏👏💙
IM WEARIN CROCS! Hehehehe😂

Laughter truly is contagious. Best video yet!
Cheers Julie👍🏻🐾🧡
Oh my god I laughed so hard at you guys today. Such good friends. Having a great day.
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
It is wonderful that you can find Roman shards and pots. I’m always learning something new from your vlogs. The clay pots you made are amazing - you are so creative!
Cheers Joe Ellen👍🏻🐾🧡
The feel of a still warm pot, just taken out of a kiln. ❤ The little oil lamp worked so well.
Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
Might the copper item have been a tobacco container ? Nice episode. The oil lamp was beautiful !
Possibly. Cheers Whitney!👍🏻🐾🧡
I love the pottery firing. Very creative.
Cheers Liz!👍🏻🐾🧡
What an interesting mudventure. Loved seeing all the Roman pottery and seeing you make your own pottery! A bit of metal detecting with some great finds as well! A great way to start Monday. 😊
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Love the pots from the kiln.
Cheers Chris!👍🏻🐾🧡
That was a great video Si, mudlarking , making pottery and metal detecting! Wow. You do get around! 😂😉
I know. It’s exhausting being me 😂
Well done Si, your kiln it 🤭
Haha excellent punnage!!
I can see fun and games afoot here!!
indeeeeed
Just brilliant gentlemen!!! So enjoy your artistic side. 🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊❤❤
Cheers Deb! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Nice pots😊
did anyone id the quad tag? I think it might be a leg tag for a bird- i went a-googling and found aluminum ones-- etsy has every color under the sun to choose from! i laughed out loud when i came across 'personalized chicken or bird leg bands'.. are not chickens birds? 😂also available are 'baby chicken splay leg hobble...' on amazon- why do baby chickens need hobbles?
also available are 'chicken/bird foot tags' that look like miniature zip ties! i have got carried away-- sorry about that =P Chris' laugh is hilarious.. his remark about floating sounded a lot like a Monty Python character! i had a lot of vicarious fun watching you all tramp thru the mud and paddle your way around!
That is a very ancient find si.. and his friend belt or knife end holder is nice too. His button very nice.
Cheers RG
Ha ha ha ha!! You guys had a great time! You should look into making a bellows for more air and it will easy to control
A kiln shouldn't require it so I'm working on a new version.
Epic video! Your pottery turn d out awesome! Very interesting to watch you make an idea come to life! But honestly, you had me expecting you to find a coin cache! I had to laugh at myself for thinking that! Terrific day - thanks for taking us along on the adventure!
Cheers Leean. I promise I do find one in the future!
@@Sifinds & I’ll be waiting!😃
I couldn't stop laughing when the tide was going out, made my day as I'm feeling shit! Also well done on the homemade kiln I was well impressed and you would think what you all made would be Roman! Are you selling any??
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡 and yes check out Chris's Etsy site www.etsy.com/uk/shop/FITGShop
Have a few left mate on the Esty.
Si we’re you able to keep your Roman pot or did you have to give it to the museum
Kept it
Wowzers fabulous finds!!
Cheers Kath👍🏻🐾🧡
3rd time I’ve watched this! 😍😂 So much love for you three!!! Dream team!
I feel like you need a collective name?!
MUD BROTHERS
I wonder what's under those bouys. Girls lol, always funny when your with your mates Simon 🇬🇧
Lol cheers Nicole👍🏻🐾🧡
Yes, Roman. Good potters, as we're the Greeks, but The chineese and porcelain, wow, I wanted to make pots like that.,mine were very strange, I based mine on seed pods and drill bits. Then the big stuff that went on buildings in Southampton were Sitfires...😂😂😂😂 ❤❤❤ lovely finds.
Sounds like you made some nice pieces. How satisfying
Awesome content, i got my detector last week and first signal i dug was a modem 5p i found 4 more coins all modern and a duckhams oil can lid i absolutely love it..
Woohoo well done Robbie. Hope you get much more luck in the muck
Me too m8 I've enjoyed it so far and today was a sunny day "tues 16th " so I hit the beach but its tough going without a pin pointer, I didn't find anything of note but it's all good practice with the signals etc
I loved the oil lamps, the Romans would be proud 👏 😂
Cheers Karime, I have a couple of % Italian Genes, maybe that was them coming out!?
I did agency nursing at the Westminster Hospital in the seventies.
No way! I think that building burned down, or at least one of them did
King of Craftyness 👑🥰
Cheers!
Great show: the James I coin has a thistle not a pineapple.
Oy what a time in the mud! I love all the pottery you guys made, so awesome! wonderful metal detecting finds as well, I still say if you need help to ID a coin and such ask chill Bill I am sure he'd love to help, I bet he would love to go out and help you to detect as well!
Cheers Deb! Have you not seen my mudlarking collabs with him on my channel?
@@Sifinds yes I have, just putting it out there to make some more hopefully sometime. :)

Harry would have loved this video

Just wondering if the field was a site of a market or fair back in the day. May be worth researching if any old roads run there
Yes on the edge of a market town
Lazy Laughing Chris ...should definitely stay at home on you're next trip !!
Where's the fun it that? 🤣
Throw in some salt!
love the videos❤
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Been hoping to ban Mylar type balloons in NY. They wash up on the beaches in droves.
Put a barcode on each balloon and register it to the buyer. If found abandoned they get fined
We Scottish hammy Coool 😊
Didnt get notifications you was doing a live si
Hmm, make sure the bell is clicked for notifications
Can seems like tobacco tin. Sir Walter Rauley
You make me want to go make some pottery
Do it! You won’t regret it
I had a cat called jester. She lived to 20 years old and died sleeping next to me on the couch. She liked to clean the dogs.
aww so sweet 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Good to see you Si very nice finds with Chris & Chris on your raft rides. Your all a bunch of nutty butters🤪😜😝🤪🤪

We did have some beers
45:23 "Am I Floatin?" OMG, I was in stitches! He must be a good friend with you all diggin and grinding your way to get his big a** afloat! LOL
We love his silliness
Chris saying the day was better than his wedding made me do a spit-take with my tea! Too funny with his giddy cackle added! Be well from washington state USA ❤️
He's a top bloke!
“I wonder what’s under those buoys.”
“Girls.”
Haha
No! It's ,
"gulls" under the "buoys"!
Kris never gets himself invited anywhere ever again. 🤣
Crocs are good for the beach!?😊
😅😅😅
What an epic VIDEO. What can I say it has adventure, drama, life and death situations, experimental archaeology, history hunting and the most fun with my two MUD Brothers ❤❤ great video Simon ❤❤
Cheers ma digger! We got some mudventures to do this year!
@Sifinds maybe we should start this weekend coming 🎉🎉
STUCK IN THE MUCK😂
haha! Exactly!
This was hysterical -- nothing like boating adventures. And the pot reproductions were GREAT!
Cheers Lili 👍🏻🐾🧡
I literally would’ve just left him. He can choose whether he wants to live or not.
Hey! I’ve seen this kind of UK Roman kiln made & demonstrated on Time Team! It’s an all-nighter to keep the heat huh? Pretty awesome he went for it and made one like that’s dedication.
Tough work but worth it.
For the hospital bottle, maybe put tape around the outside where the break is and pour in tinted resin, maybe 1/3 full, or just above the break. Once the resin hardens take off the tape and it’ll look like a bottle of medicine (from the good side ;)
That's a great idea!!
You are multi talented that’s for sure!! Those hip flasks are amazing!! Have you ever thought about mudlarking the broken pieces and try to actually build something with the pieces themselves together? You probably have, I would be over the moon finding those Roman pottery pieces. Cheers Si!!!
Thanks so much! I have thought about it, however there are so many varieties of shapes it would end up looking more like modern art - which might be a good thing!
“This is the best day of my life!” said Chris. And I am sitting in my RV laughing my head off. The dog thinks I’ve gone mad!❤TN Nana
Hehe! He's easily pleased bless him
Well, I enjoyed it all except for the guy being hauled around. He was annoying.
He's lovely really. He was just the butt of our jokes that day.
He's a fun guy
His constant laughing was so funny😆
I felt bad for the workout in the mud dragging him in the mud.
Chinese money LOL
Simon, that flask is fantabulous looking! I hope it survives the kiln firing, I did that (ceramics) in high school so I'm hoping for you. Keep mucking it up, I love watching you all rescue history!
Thanks so much! I'm glad it survived, but might need another firing!
Chris' laughter is hilarious. Love how he used his Crocs as an excuse. Pottery firing was so interesting. Hey Daisy & Si's 🐥 🐥
Cheers Mudlover! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
You guys are so histerical today! I laugh every time I see the undersized floatie!
haha cheers Cath!
I trained at Westminster Hospital as a General Nurse 1983 to 1986, it is a small world. Loved watching this day of mud larking you all seemed to have such fun,

I loved the cut back to your tossed buddy, out on the water, with said sunglasses on prior to losing them 😂
Crocs best be buying the suds. For the boys
Who goes Mudlarking in crocs 😂🤣🤪
There’s always one 😂
The James I hammered has a thistle on it. Not a pineapple, but def resemblance.
A bad day larking beats a good day at work! 😂. A memorable trip with friends, that. And kitty video too! Wonderful!
Crazy how much work goes into making pottery! Awesome❤❤❤
So much work!
Really cool pots! Loved watching the progress.
