If Olivia Newton John ever told me she loved me, I would pass out and be in a coma for several weeks 😂😍🥰. Such a beautiful lady and, by any accounts you hear, she was a sweet person as well. RIP.
One of the most beautiful women in the world till the day we lost her, and one of the greatest legendary singers, RIP beautiful Olivia Newton John🙏🏾♥️💐
I absolutely adored her. She was my first teen crush at 13 years old and would stare at the album cover with her beautiful face on it and imagined she was singing this song to me. She left a lasting impression on so many and will always be missed. RIP Olivia Newton-John. 💔
She had an AMAZING Duet with John Denver called "Fly away"... An Intro John did was to Look back and ask Olivia to join him onstage. Of Course she wasn't there, so he asked all the Women in the Audience to sing her part!
I fell in love with her voice and her songs when I first heard her back in the 70's..Ran out and bought an 8 track of her music..I think it was titled "Have You Never Been Mellow" which is another very good song....As someone already said she was one of my first crushes..
Olivia was, behind the showbiz image, a totally beautiful person. She left the spotlight to care for her husband and helped rescue many abused animals by creating a sanctuary. RIP British Rose. xxx
Thank you for reacting to my request. Olivia captured my heart in 1974 with this song. I was lucky enough to meet her several times later in her life (post 2001). In one of her last concerts (2018) she dedicated this song to my wife and I after our wedding. So this song has special place in my life. I can say that Olivia was the most kind and caring person in the world. We all have lost a special one in a billion person.
I still get a lump in my throat when I hear this. When Olivia looks into the camera with those big beautiful eyes, it's like she's looking into your soul.
Such a beautiful, tender love song. The fact that the love isn't returned makes it even more poignant. Olivia had such a lovely way with tone and phrasing, especially live (like here). The song must have resonated with a lot of people because it was an enormous Number One hit for her.
I don't think any reactors played or knew of this song when she passed (they played mostly post Grease material). Written by Jeff Barry and Peter Allen, it was her first #1 record in 1974 (this is a good version as was the studio version). I believe it won the 1975 Grammy Record of the Year and Best Pop Performance Female but not Song of The Year (Barbra Streisand's The Way We Were won). Take a bow for playing it, for me and I'm sure for some others, IMO I consider it her best and signature song. 🥲
She and I were born about a month apart from each other. I finally saw her in concert about 12 years ago. Really terrific. This was the last song she sung. "Memorable" is an understatement.
In my lifetime I've never seen someone bring you into the emotions of a song like she did, with just facial expressions. And I don't think she ever failed to do emote a song. Plus, this is a rare true Live performance and it's just about spot on. This is the song that catapulted her career, her first #1.
Although I first saw this video many years ago, I am forever affected by it...the way Olivia looks so intently at the camera as if it was the person she loved...the way her eyes tearfully glisten as if she was truly suffering from unrequited love...the way her pain is clearly expressed in her sweet singing voice. She was such a sensitive empathetic soul. I would have given anything for her to have been talking to me. And, of course, it was in a dream, as it only could have been, that I finally got to interrupt her to say "Wait, you've got me all wrong....I love you too!"
You've always been an astute observer of the music and the musicians (and have continued to improve with that over the years). This may have been your best analysis.
Oliva is larger than life !!! what a legacy she left in music not to mention the Cancer wellness center in her native Australia ( ps the prettiest in the music business , we all men had a crush with her )
What an amazing reaction. You are so observant. We love and miss our Olivia Newton-John. What an angel on earth beautiful outside and inside. Thank you again for your reaction.
I like Olivia Newton John she really made you feel the emotions attached to this song, and she could mix it up she proved that in the film Grease and she was a good dancer, sadly she's gone now, RIP thank you for your reaction 🌹
You are so right about singing and emotion. I can't do it because the emotions choke me up. I am in a musical family and my brother sang at my dad's grave after we physically buried his ashes together. He held it together, while we were all in tears. This sensitive but strong man also sang and played to perfection "Tears in Heaven" at our grandmother's funerial. He only broke down both times after he did what he felt he had to do to honor them. I will forever love him.
For me, yes...ONJ and her song, "I Honestly Love You" represent the pinnacle of authenticity, the sincerity of what I believe, is the most important & potent human emotion, LOVE. And don't we need more authenticity in our world!
Such a great song! I've loved ONJ's music since the early 70's. Her ballads will be forever timeless. This song is so heartbreaking; much like the song by England Dan & John Ford Coley "It's Sad To Belong". The 70's had so many songs about longing for that elusive special love. GREAT REACTION ANGELA . . . WE ALL LOVE YOU TOO!
Great observation Angela, her eyes were so expressive it gave me goosebumps !! All the way through the song !! That’s why you’re head and shoulders the best reaction channel !! 🙏🏻❤️
Know all the words to this...but so many don't pay attention to why they can't be together..."here I am with mine and there you are with yours".... they are each already involved with someone else! Makes falling truly in love so much sadder!😢
I wouldn't say "barely known". She was already very popular and on the rise. By this time, she already had two top 10 hits in the US and a Grammy Award. The songwriters of "I Honestly Love You" were Jeff Barry and Peter Allen. Peter wanted the song for himself but Jeff Barry convinced him to let Olivia sing it since she was already a very popular singer. This song would continue to raise her popularity, third straight top ten and reaching #1 for two weeks, plus two more Grammy Awards and a #1 album. 😀
Great reaction, Angela! I have been an ONJ fan since 1973. And thank you for reacting to a version from 1974. She sang this song in various TV programs that year. As you might expect, she was starting to be in big demand for TV shows. She was huge way before "Grease".
1st single i brought was Banks of The Ohio by ONJ , and a fan ever since , and your reaction was spot on, try listening to Let Me Be There , one of her more lively country songs.
If Olivia Newton John ever told me she loved me, I would pass out and be in a coma for several weeks 😂😍🥰. Such a beautiful lady and, by any accounts you hear, she was a sweet person as well. RIP.
Quick...well hopefully u would get outta the coma and have fun with Olivia!
@@michaelasay8587 Hopefully. 😂😳
Couldn't agree more Quick...
Amazing woman for sure. 😔
That would be a diabetic coma, I'd guess?
Aw! she was so lovely. I can see why men fell in love with her.

Here here 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
No auto tune, no computer generated 'music' and no lip syncing. Just talent.
The mix is off
Olivia Newton-John was just pure. She belonged in an elite group of singers who were perfect. God Bless Her, she is missed.
Olivia and Karen Carpenter were great friends
She was so good at expressing the emotions while sounding like an angel . I have good memories of the 70s because of the music.
Olivia Newton-John "Have You Never Been Mellow"...Nuff Said.
I always had a crush on her. Such a beautiful woman and a beautiful soul and voice like an angel. Rest in peace Olivia.❤🙏💐
Olivia Newton John puts a lot of feeling into her songs, especially these earlier ones.Great song beautifully sung-Colin Ward.
what an angel she was
She had an AMAZING Duet with John Denver called "Fly away"... An Intro John did was to Look back and ask Olivia to join him onstage. Of Course she wasn't there, so he asked all the Women in the Audience to sing her part!
She had some great duets with Andy Gibb & his big bro Barry as well!🎶
I fell in love with her voice and her songs when I first heard her back in the 70's..Ran out and bought an 8 track of her music..I think it was titled "Have You Never Been Mellow" which is another very good song....As someone already said she was one of my first crushes..

My all time best wanna be girl, Olivia.
Rip stunningly , breathtakingly gorgous lady!!

I was 14... seriously.... she wrecked a lot of hearts...lol.. Beautiful inside and out...
RIP Olivia. My first crush.

My favorite Olivia Newton John Ballard is "Sam"
Honest emotions create some of the best music.

She is the most lovely lady.
This song & hopeless devoted to you. This 2 song makes me love her.
She and I were born about a month apart from each other. I finally saw her in concert about 12 years ago. Really terrific. This was the last song she sung. "Memorable" is an understatement.
Truly one of the most beautiful people that ever existed. Inside and outside..Lovely... I named my daughter Olivia after her...
This song was out when I was in the eighth grade. Very popular slow song at the school dances. Hope you're doing wonderful!
I just love your reaction. I’ve loved Olivia since I was 7. She was an incredible singer.
If there is such a thing as a dream girl. Olivia Newton John is it.😢 R.I.P
That’s what I call a Perfect performance
In my lifetime I've never seen someone bring you into the emotions of a song like she did, with just facial expressions. And I don't think she ever failed to do emote a song. this is such a great song 💙 🎶🎼🎵💙 Olivia's voice & hearing those lyrics makes me melt like hot butter sitting on a hot 🔥 day 💯😎💙🎵🎼🎶💙
In my opinion, this was her most beautiful song. It's a masterpiece. RIP Olivia.
we''ll always love u, Olivia
She was a very beautiful woman with a very beautiful voice
And with that every guy from age 12 to 92 fell in love with Olivia Newton John!! Thank you for such a touching reaction!
The song was written by Jeff Barry and Australian Peter Allen -The boy from oz.
I sure do miss her.....what a beautiful voice and I believe a real person. ❤ RIP, Angel.
I remember ONJ performing this song on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show.... she shed a tear as she finished the song. It was epic.
The night I fell in love with her.
Although I first saw this video many years ago, I am forever affected by it...the way Olivia looks so intently at the camera as if it was the person she loved...the way her eyes tearfully glisten as if she was truly suffering from unrequited love...the way her pain is clearly expressed in her sweet singing voice. 😂 I hear ya
I was in love with her, what with her incredible beauty and breathy voice with beautiful vibrato. She was amazing.
Beautiful song….Beautiful 😢❤❤❤
Applause is right Angela🎉
She was the best..

Wow! The words to this song are very touching. Not sure why but when I see her sad expression singing this, I think of Lady Diana.
My brother and I attended a Newton-John and Paul Williams concert in the early days of her career.
Her biggest hit I think but I’ve always loved it; how could I forget about the Grease songs
No, her biggest hit was Physical
Before I even watch the video, I was absolutely looking forward to you reviewing it.
I'm so still devastated shes gone and can't believe her year since passing away is coming up. 🤍🤍✨♥️♥️
I like Olivia Newton John she really made you feel the emotions attached to this song, and she could mix it up she proved that in the film Grease and she was a good dancer, sadly she's gone now, RIP thank you for your reaction 🌹
LOVED her in GREASE!!

Big crush for a ten year old. Beautiful song and good lessons of love. Olivia is an icon !!!!!

YES--great points and on top of that what abeauty she was. Wow!
If you haven't already, "Have you ever been mellow" is a great one and also "Magic" by Olivia
Wonderful, wonderful reaction! Thank you! She has moved me more than any entertainer in my entire life. She will be so missed!
She also has a song called "SAM" that is just as good.
She was beautiful! I love her beautiful voice. Rest in Peace Olivia.🙏✝️❤️

A MUST HEAR Classic,, Herb Alpert "This Guy's In Love With You"...TRUST ME!!
As a fan of her's since the mid 70's, it was an honor to be able to see her in concert a few years before she passed. 💖
Beautiful song from a golden voice.
Angela, you have such a way with words!
A great song & story that most today don't & won't ever know,, Which is an absolute shame,, Jimmie Rodgers "Kisses Sweeter Than Wine"
Such an amazing song and of course the amazing Olivia brings it to life…
Millions of preteen boys like me absolutely fell for Olivia Newton John in the early 70s because of songs like this one. Truly an angel 💘 RIP
Beautiful song
Absolutely one of my favorite songs of all time. Ah hell made me tear up.
I honestly love her❤
That's some next level stuff right there.
I'd love to see your reaction for her "Have You Never Been Mellow"
And your wish was granted:

Angela you summed that up perfectly. thank you.
Love her and Karen Carpenter!!
Thanks for your poignant personal insights, Angela. Great points. Difficult lessons to learn.
RIP Olivia Newton John
Her catalog is worth checking out..there is a great duet with John Denver..FLY AWAY, worth a mention. ..and a reaction.
She, Aretha Franklin, Barbra Streisand and Linda Ronstadt my Mt. Rushmore of female singers.
I absolutely love this song. Chokes me up every time. 😊
Hi Angela!!She's one of my fav.singer eventhough i'm not born in their era...just 22 in age...she is Karen Carpenter bestfriend..
Know all the words to this...but so many don't pay attention to why they can't be together..."here I am with mine and there you are with yours".... they are each already involved with someone else! Makes falling truly in love so much sadder!😢
It still is hard for me to believe that she is no longer with us. Olivia seemed to be timeless.
Her voice was and will remain timeless. Incredibly underrated
you should try "Suspended in Time" It is from the movie Xanadu she was also in the movie. It is a beautiful song
She was barely known at this time. That wouldn't last much longer.

That`s not true at all, she had several hits and even reprsented the UK in Eurovision song contest
@@telstar4772 Okay, rephrase wasn't well known on this side of the pond.,
This takes me back to my teenage years! Love it!
Imagine being 14 boy and seeing this video. I didnt have to imagine🙂
Great reaction, Angela! I have been an ONJ fan since 1973. And thank you for reacting to a version from 1974. She sang this song in various TV programs that year. As you might expect, she was starting to be in big demand for TV shows. She was huge way before "Grease".
This song gives me chills when I hear the studio version. This live video version destroyed me, even though the backing track was too loud. Damn...
I miss her ❤
1st single i brought was Banks of The Ohio by ONJ , and a fan ever since , and your reaction was spot on, try listening to Let Me Be There , one of her more lively country songs.
Reaction suggestion for another Olivia Newton John song: "Hopelessly Devoted to You" from the 1978 blockbuster movie Grease.
The Golden Goddess
I can only imagine the reunion Karen Carpenter and ONJ had when they met again in heaven.
